Saint Joseph, Missouri
Gothic revival home built circa 1867 by the Reverend Cornelius VanDeventer. Peaceful place to wake up, have coffee on the outer brick patio, and do some bird watching.
Home is located in historic Museum Hill Area. Centrally located to downtown attractions. The Missouri Theater, restaurants, antique shops, and museums. Equipped with Wi-Fi, and a designated work space. Located 3.4 miles from Missouri Western State University. Home Of the Super-Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs training camp.
Everything I needed (and what I didn't but you might!) was readily at hand in this historic treasure of a home. The only thing missing was milk for the cereal!
Probably one of the cleanest rentals I’ve ever stayed in. Loved all the little details and the kitchen was stocked with necessities. I want to buy this house if I ever move back to the area ?
We were visiting St. Joe for a week and the house was the right size for everything we needed. The interior was nicely furnished and had a few extras, such as laundry detergent, coffee, etc. The location is closer to downtown, but nothing is too far in St. Joe. The owner has control of the heating and cooling, but was very responsive when we asked for it to be adjusted.
We enjoyed our stay in your comfortable, cozy home, thank you so much
Everything was clean and well maintained. Check in process was effortless. I would recommend this property to everyone. The beds were extremely comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. Slept great. Kitchen was stocked with all necessary items. Host has lots of history through the house to look at and learn about early St. Joe. We give it five stars
Our friends and family enjoyed this comfortable historic home!! It had everything we needed!
Great historic house, easy and comfortable.
Such a beautiful property. So full of history and art. The music gives this home a unique setting over other properties. My grandson and his girlfriend spent most of their time on the piano, which I love. James is an awesome host, all requests were handled very quickly. Will definitely consider this home again. Thank you James. Thanks Bret
Beautiful, spacious historic home with modern amenities. Located in a city with many historic sites nearby! If you appreciate history, you would appreciate this 1867 home and all that St. Joseph has to offer.
Good location, great decor, well stocked kitchen. Has a record player and various records which was great. Beds were super comfy and shower was hot. Would recommend a cooler temp for summer, but that's more a personal preference. Would recommend.
An absolutely perfect setting for a stay in St. Joe. The house is beautifully appointed, wonderfully comfortable, and located near downtown. Access to whatever one needs or wants is right there...James is an A Level host! I will be staying there again...loved it!
