Stayed Feb 6, 2026Wonderful place to sit on the screened porch and look out over the ocean. Zero issues with the house except I had trouble getting my wife to leave. Very responsive host.

Stayed Jan 7, 2026This house was the perfect setting for my sister’s Hawaiian birthday trip! We love that the property is out of the main tourist area, and it was super well stocked of all our needs.

Stayed Sep 15, 2025Very clean home, has everything you could need, fresh water for drinking. Great views from the deck, quiet and safe neighborhood a bonus! Had a cooler for us to take to the beach, beach chairs, all kinds of stuff available for use. Loved relaxing on the screened deck mornings and evenings. Host responded quickly to a question we had. Accommodations and Host were great! Would def come back next time!

Stayed Jun 7, 2025We loved living here! For two incredible weeks, this home was our personal slice of paradise. We lived with the windows and doors open nearly all the time, letting in the breeze, the birdsong, and the peaceful rhythm of the island. Our daughter loved sleeping on the futon on the lanai most nights, falling asleep under the stars and waking up to the sounds of nature. The house was peaceful, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped for a comfortable, restorative stay. We picked fresh mangoes from the front yard, made fruit salad with local pineapple, and enjoyed sunsets every evening from the lanai. We snorkeled at several beaches around the island and especially appreciated the convenience of Pebbles Beach right at the bottom of the hill—perfect for a quick swim or quiet sunset stop. The location was perfect—quiet and tucked away, yet close enough to beaches, coffee farms, and island adventures. Everything was clean and well-stocked, from the kitchen to the beach gear. It felt less like a rental and more like home.Thank you for sharing this beautiful place with us. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Stayed Mar 22, 2025We love the house- hate the humidity. Of course, that is common to the whole island,,,,We had daily visits from a gecko we named Gary. At least we think it was the same little fellow; we only saw two geckos simultaneously once Plus, there's a cute little baby gecko in the bedroom who is shy and climbs around at night. The neighborhood and the driveway are all steep like San Francisco hills. There are a few spices in the kitchen and a good selection of cooking/baking equipment. At night the coqui frogs talk a lot - and in the morning, the birds do. We found both very pleasant. Lots of plumeria and a smattering of other flowers, Very peaceful place. it's a bit of a bummer to have to transport garbage to the transfer station - I don't think that was in the listing Since we have to get water for drinking/cooking from a nearby spigot, I would suggest including a photo of what it looks like and a better idea of the location in the welcome binder . We drove by it 4 days before we found it. It's not too far north of the transfer station in a turn out mauka side, directly behind a short directional sign

Stayed Feb 21, 2025The house is very clean and well set up with a view of the ocean and very little view of the surrounding houses due to the tree canopy. The lanai is very comfortable and I could pretend to be outside even when I was feeling too lazy to actually go out. We were close enough to the ocean to hear it, which was lovely, and there are doves and cardinals in the trees, calling to each other all day. It was quite charming. I even enjoyed the coqui frogs at night, to my surprise. (Coquis have a bad reputation on the Big Island but I found out that I actually like their chirping. They sound like crickets.) The downside for me is the low elevation: my ears are very sensitive to a change in air pressure and when we went up and down the (very steep) road every day I felt like I was always landing a plane although it didn't bother my husband at all. But like I said, I'm quite sensitive. I would have appreciated motion sensor lights on the porch because there were no lights on when we arrived at almost 10 pm and it's pitch dark at night on BI because of the telescope. Overall, it's a very comfortable property and we have already booked our vacation there for next February. Aloha nut loa

Stayed Dec 3, 2024Great hosts and accommodations! We’ve stayed in a lot of places in Hawaii but this one is different in several ways that will bring us back for sure. Quiet location. It’s really rare to find a place that doesn’t have roosters. Superb kitchen. Lots of functional space. Covered parking. Did I say quiet? Easy access to south Kona region. We would definitely return for more!

Stayed Nov 18, 2024We had a lovely 8-day stay and the ocean views from the house are spectacular. We particularly enjoyed the home’s big and screened lanai. The Kona Paradise community is a very relaxed place and the nearby Pebble Beach is a fantastic spot for playing in the water and watching the sun set. The short but steep walk to the beach is worth it - and there are several parking spots for those who need to drive. There are good, casual food options nearby within 10-15 miles. We would stay here again!

Stayed Nov 7, 2024The house is great. We watched the sunset every evening. It’s steep getting down and up but, it’s doable. The house has everything you need:coolers, chairs for the beach, masks and fins, and umbrella. The house has spices, cooking oil, DVDs, and games. The laundry room has everything you need to wash clothes. You might need breakfast things for the first morning but, check around first before you get groceries. It is hot in afternoon but, they have fans. Very quiet and safe neighborhood. It’s an awesome house. The birds kept us entertain. We are glad we stayed there.

Stayed Jun 22, 2024The property is nice overall. The house is clean. The neighborhood is quiet. The road to and from it to the main road is extremely steep. At night time the heat was unbearable in the bedrooms. The property manager was thoughtful. The noisy frogs and bird was overwhelmed.
