100 Steps to the Gulf -Soaring Ceilings, Beams, Contemp, Free Lighthouse Passes

The hosts were very communicative and worked to resolve our concerns. However, the house was not as clean as the other reviews shared and even the hosts indicated. I shared these with the homeowner to address with their cleaning crew. Ceiling fans had caked dust, house had a musty wet smell, sliding glass door had smudges and were hard to open, kitchen cabinets were disorganized and hard to find items, under the house had not been cleared out with random trash and other broken beach items lying around. Overall, we felt mislead on the cleanliness which is a priority for our stay. The location is great and the beach accessories are very useful.

cons:-mold in all parts of the bathrooms-majority of outlets are lose (the boxes and the plugs)-food from previous tenants left in cabinets-UNCOMFORTABLE FURNITURE (my wife brought in a sun chair from the porch to lay on)-kitchen seemed bigger in the pictures pros:-water hose/shower for clean up after a day on the beach-nice wrap around porch-easy walk to the beach

This was my first VRBO experience and it was wonderful. The host was kind and responsive. The property was clean and well furnished. The whole family was comfortable. The best part? The *walk* to the beach! This was the quickest most pleasant walk to the beach of anywhere I have stayed in decades! Thank you for a perfect vacation.

This is the most amazing beach house! Cute outside and beautiful inside. Our favorite things were the short private walk to the beach and the deck. The hosts were so friendly and great communicators! Would love to come back again…many times! Absolutely what we were looking for!

Second time staying at this house. It was very clean and well stocked. Host reached out at the start of the trip to make sure we had everything we needed. The short walk to the beach made for a fun week and we hope to stay here again.

For the price, this was a fantastic place to stay! We were looking for an affordable place for our family of 6 and a set of grandparents to stay. This was an excellent fit for us for value. The house was clean, just large enough for our party (kids ages 2-8), had easy access the beach, and was conducive to a fun stay. We appreciated having the beach cart available for use and did not mind the 2-3 min walk to the beach. Would book this place again for a future trip.

Our stay was for the month of February. Your home is quite comfortable and in an excellent location on the island as we were located very close to the island amenities.

The communication with host was great and very prompt. We loved the location and access to beach. But the house needs a good deep clean-there are cobwebs along the peek, dirty ceiling fans , refrigerator needs a good cleaning. There is a burner on the stove that doesn’t work. Cute house just needs a little attention

Appropriately listed and priced. We were very comfortable and enjoyed the central location for biking both directions and all over the island. It is possible to bike more than 30 miles and not leave the island which makes this a great island for us to visit and the house to base from. The owner is very responsive. The Internet name was different than listed but the owner quickly helped me get on track.

This was our 2nd time staying here. We love the location between town and the park. It is very clean and well stocked. The owners were very responsive to my questions and seemed genuinely concerned that we have a good experience. We plan to be back.

Overall nice stay had great time.. some things in the house need a little update/fixing (example: refrigerator door handle) but everything was functional and fine

Great vacation! House is perfect for 6. Kitchen comes with more than enough cooking, baking, serving, and eating utensils. Excellent lication, close to the beach and cart to bring stuff to the beach us excellent. Host is responsive and gracious, providing admission tbe the lighthouse.

The house was excellent! As advertised and the property owner was very responsive and made sure to let use know to reach out if we needed anything. We didn’t need a thing! The house was great, A/C was cold, and we made use of the handy beach cart to move our chairs and canopy the short walk to the beach. We would stay here again!

We really had a great time and the place was a little further than 100 steps to the beach and a couple of other minor discrepancies, but overall we loved the place!

Lovely beach house with direct access to the bay-to-beach path, making the walk to the beach a short 2-3 minutes even with 2 little kids. Host was incredibly hospitable and the house was very clean and well-stocked. Our second trip to St. George, and we will be returning again-- feels like home away from home.

This was a great property. Very easy walk to the beach and the property's wagon made hauling our stuff very easy. Everything was well stocked, never had to worry about running out of trash bags, dish soap, etc. which was a nice touch. The property owner was very responsive and helped us when we left behind a few clothing items to ensure they were returned. Will definitely try to stay here again!

Very clean!! A little dated. The location was wonderful!! Close to the beach and the piggly wiggly. A few minor inconveniences. There were only two rolls of toilet paper in the whole house and the tub does not drain well so you are standing in water while showering. I still give this place a 10/10 bc it was clean and very comfortable!!! Would stay here again.

The location truly is 100 steps to the water thanks to the little alleyway! St George will be a repeat for us- forgotten FL is wonderful, quiet, and quaint. The house is older, but equipped with everything we needed and was clean!

We enjoyed our stay. The house has a nice layout with plenty of room for our family. A lot of natural light with the view towards the beach. We took advantage of free light house passes offered by the host. Beach is a short distance away, very few people since its remote from public beach access. accesss.

The bathrooms were a little dated.. Kitchen fine but small. Very nice serving dishes and every utensil you would need. Great TV and comfortable furnishings. No complaints!

Came down for a long weekend. Great value and very nice house. House is a very short walk to the beach and because it was away from public access, beach was not crowded. Host were very responsive, when sending messages they always responded back almost immediately.

We hope to return. Iffy thanks to Helene, but our week was ideal weather-wise. There was a lot of water around but it's a barrier island so this is not unexpected. Everything about the house was in tip-top shape. It's a lovely home, and we hope to come back for more sun & beach time. Our hosts went above & beyond in communicating and accommodating.
