100 Steps to Beach. Pets Ok, Real Beach House, Daily Rentals

The beach was great. Only a few feet away. Great location. The cottage was dirty, not safe. No fire alarms, cables everywhere. The electricity is not up to code.

This place was an oasis that was steps from the beach! The owners are extremely attentative, theres a bunch of beach chairs, toys, umbrellas, etc to borrow. Tables to eat outside in back and a big clean kitchen! I will definitely reach out to them again!

The owner & cleaner were very nice and accommodating. The actual place was more run down and appeared to be smaller than the listing shows. The proximity to the beach is excellent and they do have beach accessories that you can take to the beach which was very helpful.

Dog friendly and extremely close to dog friendly beach right on the gulf! Location was absolutely fantastic too for walking down the street a few blocks to the restaurants and shops. The Dolphin side was a cozy little house with enough beds to sleep 7 total (perfect for ma & pa and 3 teenagers). Would highly recommend!

Was not expecting perfection, but this place was a health hazard. Sewage in sink, brown stinky stale water in a bucket under the sink, smoke alarm was never replaced, grip handle in tub was rotted out and the tub was very slippery. The furniture and pillow covers were very dirty. Many things were broken including the fan and air conditioner. Bad smells. Could not even get the murphy bed out of the wall. Big gap in front door. So many other issues (at least a page full). Dollar store purchased worn out towels and wash cloths, used dollar store body wash, filthy salt and pepper shakers, etc. Cockroaches. I realize cockroaches can show up in clean homes too, but honestly, I was very concerned about bed bugs. I was so anxious by the living conditions I cut my vacation short by a week. VRBO let us down for sure! The whole experience in this VRBO home was awful.

The location is amazing.

Easy check-in. Everything was just as the explanation on VRBO. Beds were comfortable. The cottage was an original from the 20s or 30s so it had old charm. You don’t find much of that these days. super convenient walk to the shops and beach. Would definitely come back and stay!

The house was nice for what we needed, and we enjoyed the yard area and hot tub. The house's cleanliness was ok except for the greasy dishes, blood-stained sheets on the sofa bed, and the pubic hair all around and in the bathtub. We checked in on Christmas by text message, due to not wanting to pull him away from his family. He texted where we were supposed to be which was the wrong property. Standing with the family who was originally supposed to be in the apartment we were sent to, they called to clear things up. Immediately he called me telling me I was in the wrong place and the family who rented it was claiming that we were smoking in the house. I was standing with them and that was never said. He blamed me for being in the wrong place after he texted me where to go insinuating that I was too dumb to know what I rented when all I had to go by was pictures of all the nice parts of different properties and a long property number. He gave us 2 assigned parking places that were taken from us due to the new people have 2 cars. He parked me in a parking area that clearly said no parking, telling me not to move it, so I paid for a safer option. There is no heated pool. Bring your toilet paper. There were no utensils in the kitchen. Dogs were barking beside us which made it hard to relax. He can be a good manager to those he chooses. However, he was not kind to us and talked down to us. We hid when we saw him for fear that we were going to be accused of doing something else.
