1 block from the beach, family friendly, w/ private backyard & air conditioning

Clean, comfortable and had everything we needed!

Perfect place for our pup and us. The place was so comfortable and clean. The hosts are wonderful and they make sure all is well. We will stay there again when we are back in San Diego.

Very nice place! Perfect for 3 adults and dog. Lovely private patio, parking spot, and nice furnishings. 3 minute walk to Ocean Beach and dog beach. Would definitely stay again if come back!

The place is so smartly stocked & setup. The host was even kind enough to message about something we forgot so we could come back & get it.

Wonderful location! The backyard is perfect for the pups. Very clean and well supplied with everything you need to cook meals for the family. Rich and Adrienne are excellent hosts. Highly recommended! We'll be staying here again!

House was clean and had everything we needed. It was a great home base for day trips in the area and we walked for all our meals from there that we didn't cook.

We had a great stay. Everything you need for a stay close to the beach. Plenty of beach items available for use. We got some use of the boogie boards and it was so much fun. The kitchen had more then enough items for what we needed. But had everything you would need for cooking. The hosts were very responsive and offered up some fun things to do in OB as well. Having a parking spot is so nice, and no need to drive much. Couple minute walk to the beach. 10ish minute walk to restaurants. Place was clean and has a really nice outdoor space which can be rare in this area. Would 100% stay here again. Lot of attention to the little details that make the stay comfortable.

This is a cute little place with a nicely appointed kitchen. They had tea and coffee, nice touch. Owners mention family friendly but when my family members came over for an evening meal, I was questioned about my guests (2 grown kids and my retired aunt and uncle). Owners mention security cameras on premises, and consequently I was questioned by text 3 times during my stay. Listing describes on-site laundry, but I was told to leave said shared basement laundry because my adult daughter was visiting. My husband and I owned and rented a luxury beach home in Myrtle Beach and we never surveilled or micromanaged our guests. Due to the strict oversight I would not stay here again.

We loved our stay Rich and Adrienne's property! It as very clean and in excellent condition. In fact I was shocked to find out they had been renting it out since 2012! Quite often places are showing a lot of wear and tear after a few years of being rented out as a vacation property. But that was definitely not the case here. We also loved the fact that they were truly pet friendly. They had put covers on the couches (no need to use the extra sheets we had brought with us for that purpose). They had a dog bed in the living room. There were dog water bowls, shampoo and towels available in the hall closet. The small securely fenced yard was perfect for our dogs. And of course, the location is just a couple of blocks from dog beach, which we visited twice a day with our pups. Ocean Beach is in the flight path of the San Diego airport, so airplane noise is just a reality. But the neighborhood was surprisingly calm and quiet, especially given that it's a beach community and the residences are packed in pretty closely. You could easily walk to the heart of Ocean Beach (Newport Ave.) which is just a few blocks from the rental. My wife played pickleball at the nearby Barnes Center and rode her bike over to Mission Bay/Beach. This vacation rental is going on our keeper list and we will definitely be going back!

Location in Ocean Beach could not be better! Close to the dog beach, coffee shops and restaurants - but in a quiet neighborhood. The space is very comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. Off-street parking a major bonus. Very clean apartment and bed was comfortable. Hosts were very nice and helpful with restaurant recommendations. Would we stay here again? Absolutely!

Exactly as advertised - very clean and well taken care of. We had everything we needed. The privacy of the backyard was a nice relaxing spot to have a drink after a long day . It was centrally located to many places in SD.

Rich and Adrienne were the perfect hosts! They have all the little touches one wants in a VRBO, nothing AT ALL that we needed that they didn't have. Truly above and beyond. They were easy to communicate with, always quick to respond. And, I really want their house! LOL Just a long block to the beautiful beach; a half block to a liquor/convenience store; a nice stroll to restaurants/bars in either direction. The house itself is just as it appears online. We really enjoyed the backyard area. We are already talking about booking it again! Highly recommend. Thanks Rich and Adrienne!!

I had a wonderful visit! It's only a block from the beach. The neighborhood is gorgeous and dog friendly. It's close to restaurants and shops. The owners are also very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

House is so close to beach, perfect for small family and dog. Had everything we needed to cook breakfast and grill dinner at the house. Access to laundry and beach gear was much appreciated. Hosts easy to reach when needed. Highly recommend if being close to beach is what you are looking for.

This was a wonderful beach cottage. Great location in walking distance to beach, shops, restaurants. The cottage was clean, very well appointed, comfortable, quiet, and just as advertised. The hosts were very thoughtful and great to rent from. I would love to return one day!

Small town vibe

My father, brother, and myself stayed for three nights. Hosts were very communicative and provided detailed information about the stay well in advance, they also checked in frequently to make sure everything was okay. Walking distance to both downtown OB and the beach itself. Everything in the unit was clean and tidy. Outside patio was great extension of the living space. Really enjoyed our stay!

This property was EXACTLY as it is in the photos. It was a quick 5 min walk away from Ocean Beach and close to a lot of the places we wanted to visit while we were there (like SeaWorld). They also have EVERYTHING you could possibly need: condiments, utensils, dishes, appliances (including a toaster and a blender), beach chairs and beach toys and so much more. I also really appreciated that they included an extra blanket in the bedroom cupboards for someone like me who's always cold. The beds were comfortable, and the house was clean and in great condition. They even had a fresh bag of coffee ready next to the coffee maker which was so thoughtful! The hosts were great! They were very welcoming and helpful and had excellent communication with us whenever we had a question. The only thing is that the airplanes do fly over during the daytime. They stop after 11pm or 11:30 and don't start again until morning. You can definitely hear them during the day, but that didn't really bother us. (The hosts might actually mention this in their description already, I can't remember) We would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a nice little beach house in San Diego and I'd happily rent this place again! Small but well furnished house in a great location in Ocean Beach. Perfect for us and our 2 dogs and walkable to good restaurants, shopping and the beach. The area was much quieter than we were expecting.

The house was perfect. The town is awesome. The people are friendly. My son and I had a perfectly stress free vacation. We walked all over OB and never felt unsafe. Highly recommend this rental.

This property met all of our needs and more. It had a wonderful backyard for our dog, 1 block from the beach, and within walking distance to restaurants. The location was excellent. The VRBO was very clean and had everything we needed. The owners were so helpful providing information and recommendations. The community is very quiet and laid back during the week. We would highly recommend this VRBO.
