Hague, New York
Want to drop out for the most relaxing vacation ever We call this little gem "Overlooked". This tricked-out newly renovated two bedroom trailer sits on the hill overlooking Lake George. Its super quiet and pretty up here, yet a two minute walk to either of two town parks/beaches, or down to the general store or restaurant. The perfect combination of "chill", fun, and just a little connection.
It's technically a mobile home, but it's a 900 sq. foot BIG mobile home, on a permanent foundation, with two bedrooms and a bath, and a large kitchen/living room with all amenities. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but the setting is beautiful and the inside is WAY more than you expect. There's a 300 porch on one side for great outdoor living and dining (picnic table seats 12) and a 9' x 12' screened-in porch on the other - a great place to take your coffee in the morning.
The kitchen is fully equipped with gas range, big refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, blender, and toaster oven. TV with Roku & CD player in the living room, dedicated and secured wifi, washer/dryer, and air conditioning.
The larger bedroom has a queen bed, all new linens, dresser and comfy chair. The smaller bedroom has a queen bed, dresser and small chair. Both have big closets.
It's tucked into the trees for good privacy and has a separate driveway with plenty of room to park a boat if you have one. We're just up the hill from the public boat launch so you can be on the water in minutes. Fresh herbs and produce from the vegetable garden in season.
Come see why Lake George is called the Queen of American Lakes, and why the north end is the best kept secret. Overlooked is not your mother's mobile home. It's SOOO much cooler!
Perfect little cabin get away. The property was nice and quiet, tucked away in a small neighborhood. The beach was perfect, but a bit of a walk up/down a steep hill, so we drove. Quiet, well kept beach and swimming area. Clean beautiful lake. Olive (dog) was the perfect greeter. Only disappointment was the town was so quiet there was no restaurants except a pop-up bar and food truck 3 days a week. Plenty of other towns 20-40 minutes drive to eat and shop.
Very nice person and very helpful for all your needs just a all round good lady the area is nice
I loved staying at the tricked out trailer. Hague is beautifully quiet and has great beaches. Our hostess was extremely attentive to our needs and generous with her vegetable garden. I may come during the fall next time! Thank you.
We loved our stay. The “tricked out trailer” is tranquil and the Hamlet of Hague is quaint, relaxing and centrally located. The towns of Lake George and Bolton’s Landing to the South with Fort Ticonderoga and Lake Placid to the North and we visited them all. Donna and Olive (her dog) are welcoming hosts and Donna is very knowledgeable about the area as well as accommodating, (the dryer in the trailer was not working and she allowed us to use her dryer in her home, she also ensured that we had a blender that could crush ice for our “frozen adult beverages” in the evenings!). The kitchen is well equipped and was used every morning for our breakfasts. We did not travel every day and there were some hot days/nights so air conditioning in the main room for relaxing “in” would be our suggestion. We loved our stay, the smell of pine and the visits from Olive. We would recommend staying here!
Great location. Walked every morning to the lake or a little waterfall in town. Coffee at the market with baked goods. Great little beach. Host is super friendly and helpful. Great place to relax and unwind.
The Overlook was very nice and peaceful with well equipped kitchen. We had everything we needed in the neighborhood: beautiful beach near by to launch our kayak, two boat rental places and hiking trails with beautiful waterfall minutes away.... and Donna was a great host! We highly recommend this place!
It was a well maintained and quiet place and Donna was an exceptional host.
The Overlooked is exactly as described in the information. Looks recently renovated and has a well-equipped kitchen (important because cooking is a form of relaxation for me) and comfortable living quarters. Access to an awesome herb garden. It was a relaxing week. Donna (the owner) was helpful with suggestions for activities (definitely go see Ft. Ticonderoga- they really make history come alive) Star Trek museum, ice cream and local food, which is on the simpler side, but Bolton Landing and LGV are within a reasonable drive for more of the typical tourist attractions. Think this would also be a lovely place to do some leaf-peeping in the autumn.
Well decorated 2 bedroom mobile home. Excellently appointed kitchen...all you will need to cook and also a shared grill. Could use air conditioner in main room; it was a very hot week! Comfortable bed, washer and dryer. Just a short walk down the hill to Hague beach, The Hague Market is a great place to get breakfast sandwiches and pastries that are so good. Also lunches. Near a state park for hiking and a nice beach. Really nice, relaxing place for a stay. Recommend: printed instructions for use of the home and contact information for nearby amenities. Host was very welcoming and was nice enough to get or lend us all the stuff we forgot. Nice touch....homemade jams for guests.
The host is incredibly inviting and the property is fully stocked with all the amenities one could possibly need. Location is a 5 minute walk from two swimming spots at Lake George. Great place to get away and relax
