Our stay was generally fine and the kids had a good time. I'd say fine for a guys fishing/hunting trip, or dads and kids camping trip. There are some amenities that are not as advertised, and it could me made clearer that the dock and water access are through the neighbor/owner's back yard and then using their dock. There is a fire pit and chairs pictured that are currently (spring 2026) torn up, with construction being planned. We brought firewood and smores stuff for the kids but weren't able to use it, and the owner was unapologetic and not willing to help us find a solution. There is also no coffee maker or ice maker, or even ice trays provided. There is a Keurig for pods (but no pods or refillable pods) but that is it, so we had to go buy a coffee maker to use. We tried using the toaster but the outlet was dead. I switched to another outlet and it was crackling so we skipped the toast. The dog was friendly, and we like dogs, and they do mention this in the listing, but if you don't like a dog following you around everywhere then maybe not for you.

Wasn't told about the construction next door until A few days before hand.. We go to Edisto for the peace and quiet of the island, to get away.. We had to leave the premises every day because of the loud construction literally feet away all DAY LONG EVERYDAY!!! Very disappointing I wasn't notified until A couple days before we left for our trip... All we heard from daylight until literally dark was sawing, hammering, equipment alarms, gas compressors running the works.. Its sad when we had to find things to do instead of trying to relax at our Place!!! Very disappointing They pulled A fast one over us for sure!!

We absolutely loved our stay. It was quiet and relaxing. The host was very responsive and the location was just wonderful. 5 minutes from the grocery store and 10 from where our family rented their own place. We look forward to renting again in the future! I already miss waking up and walking to the dock to watch the world come to life

We enjoyed our stay here. The tidal creek off the back of the property was amazing. We saw so much wildlife! It was minutes away from the Edisto fun but so quiet and peaceful, really a great balance. Beds were comfortable and it was a pretty good house for kids.

This house was a nice set up if you want to get to Edisto area. Only a few minutes from the beaches or other activities. Quiet and off the beaten path location. The house was very clean and a great size for a family or a group of friends. Our host were amazing and super nice. One thing to know is the fire pit and dock are shared location with the host. It was no big deal. They’re very welcoming, but just good to know these aren’t dedicated facilities for the rental property.

When I was booking it online, it said that you could check in at 8 PM the night before so we left early to drive down to Edistow to find out that was incorrect so then we had to drive back an hour to the interstate in order to get a hotel room to stay Thursday night. It also stated that it had a playground for small children we came down ourselves to look at everything before we would rent it for the whole family. There’s also a big house right next-door that you have to walk through their yard to get down to the dock in the fire pit is in their yard. And at low tide, there is no water at all so if you bring a boat, you have to trailer it back-and-forth to the ramp the mobile home was a nice mobile home. The master suite did not have a queen size bed. And to watch TV all you can do was watch Netflix so you sell no local channels at all.
