Dugspur, Virginia
Unique accommodation for a romantic getaway in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Nestled in a beautiful meadow, this gorgeous Gypsy Caravan is the perfect escape for anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors and find peace in nature, and ideal for two guests to enjoy glamping in Virginia. Inside, guests will find a comfortable double bed next to the window, and just a short walk away is the cabin with bathroom facilities.
There's also a table and chairs next to the doors, where guests can sit and enjoy meals together while enjoying the natural light and breeze rolling in. Outside, guests will enjoy plenty of lawn space, a pond, and a fire pit to gather around in the evenings. Nearby is a small barn which has been fixed up by the hosts as a place to cook and eat. The caravan is surrounded by some of the farm's original structures that have been preserved and converted into cooking, dining, and living spaces for guests to enjoy.
The Caravan is situated on 170 acres of farmland which includes pastures, woodlands, and two ponds.
Our wish is that people in need of a break discover our place (the Lee Farm). Many have found us and returned time after time. The cottage, glamping tent, gypsy caravan are listed individually. Booked together, they provide a desirable destination for family gatherings. This is an ideal situation where parents can relax and children are safe to explore.
You may enjoy the other properties on Lee Farm. You can find listings for the Glamping Tent (2273310) and the Cottage (290033) on the Vrbo site!
It was beautiful, relaxing, and amazing! Even better in person. Walking the property was nice and with all the fall colors it made it even nicer. I would love to go back.
Very peaceful
Stayed with Theresa this past Memorial weekend and had a wonderful time. This location is perfect for anyone who wants a relaxing weekend without the distractions of the modern world.
This was the perfect place for me and my husband and our two husky’s to feel home and free ,, it was amazingly picturesque and natuur oriented . My husband had a blast gissing in the ponds stocked with big mouth bas . We will book again real soon . Thank you Theresa & Brian for making this available .
We had a lovely stay. The caravan is charming and warm on cold nights too!
This was an amazing getaway. Theresa and husband were so very kind. We truly enjoyed this experience and will definitely be back in the future.
I mean, this place is perfect! Driving up the dirt road, you get the feel of seclusion, of being surrounded by nature, and when the caravan comes into sight, a sense of peace and calm. The caravan feels very sturdy, surprisingly bug-free, just the right size for a solo traveler (or two if you like each other!), and sits mostly in the shade so it doesn't get too warm inside. It's decorated both inside and out in a really quirky, colorful, but old-world way. The ambience is just so unique and fun! Cooking facilities are very nearby (camp stove, plates, utensils, etc), with indoor running water maybe a hundred yards away at the Lee. Very clean bathroom with essentials. Water pressure in the shower was lousy, but that's really not a deal breaker. If you want to walk a few easy trails through the woods or across pasture fields, there is a lot of space to roam, a pond with cute ducks to watch, deer throughout the area, and a cute couple of dogs that don't know how to play fetch. Mostly, this is a good spot to just sit and breathe and think without noise or distraction. The caretaker was respectful of my desire for privacy, but definitely easy to reach out to if I needed. Her thoughtful little touches (fresh wildflowers on the table, a slice of coffee cake for breakfast, a lantern already in place, a spare towel) were the icing on top. The absolute only thing I would note for a prospective renter is that the caravan itself doesn't lock. This wouldn't be a problem based on the isolation of the farm, except that I was a solo female traveler and even a sliding lock would've given me some peace of mind at night. But overall, I felt very safe exploring the property, walking through the woods, and staying by myself. The listing currently says the location is Pine Creek, but accurately, the address is in Dugspur, Virginia, just a few miles east of Hillsville. You're not too far from civilization should you need anything. I very much recommend this cute little caravan if you're looking for a night or two to get away from the cares of the world without having to deal with the pressure and demands of tent camping (or even glamping). It offers privacy, nature, walking paths, indoor running water, and wonderful hospitality from the host.
Loved the sweet, quiet, and comfortable cottage with its beautful garden in the setting of such a beautful 170 acre farm which held many other treasures when we went roaming the trails. We also thoroughly enjoyed the warmth of Theresa's hospitality as our host.
This was an incredible experience - a fun and unique place to stay, while also being close to a bathroom and kitchen items. Theresa went above and beyond as a host to make our stay enjoyable and make us feel welcome. The property is gorgeous, and is very large with plenty of things to do. I can’t wait to go back again soon!
Theresa was an excellent host with a special place full of enchanting trails and beautiful areas of nature sure to bring peace & relaxation....Will return again soon
