Timber Ridge Lodge was once again amazing. The living quarters are perfect for a group of active guys who like to bike, hike, watch football, grill, tell stories (some of them even true), and cook guy food inside. Plenty of room for cooking and socializing and enough privacy to meet everyone's needs. Even with less than ideal weather we had plenty of activities to keep us engaged. Excellent access to the Mickelson Trail, Hill City, Crazy Horse, Harney Peak, Mt. Rushmore, and much more in the Hills. We had an excellent time and will be back again next year - thanks TRL!

Very nice, spacious property, well stocked with dishes, games, books, etc.. We loved the firepit in the evenings. The guest house was perfect for our parents who can't do stairs. Great close proximity to Hill City!!

It was very hot sleeping upstairs. Windows open and fans did not keep the upstairs cool enough for sleeping.

Great property off the beaten path yet close to Hill City. The teens loved the bunkhouse, my grandson was quite sad to have to give up his ‘man cave’. Kitchen was great, everything was ready to go. There was a griddle for pancakes and frankly anything you would need. Two coffee pots in the main house is great, as we emptied one the other was ready to go. Plenty of parking and the gravel road in was great for the runners in our group, as was the close proximity to the Mickelsen Trail. WiFi performed admirably considering we had 4 teens and 5 adults with phones and iPads, downright impressive really. I had to fire up a laptop for work one day and it handled that just fine too. Porches were great but please put thicker cushions in the covers as those benches are hard! The kids loved the semi-feral cat who was snuggling with them all on the porch by the end of day 2. We played cornhole (used our travel sewing kit to stitch up a few bean bags) and a little volleyball. We loved the available spaces and did a puzzle too! Would highly recommend to any larger group looking for a rental. Helpful hint: Air conditioning is on first floor only of the main house so be sure to shut windows and pull curtains upstairs once the sun is up. Then open the windows as soon as it starts to cool or it will be a bit stuffy for sleep. Thank you for a great vacation place!

This place has just about everything you could need. Space for friends and family to spread out. Private, quiet and beautiful location. No AC upstairs, fans needed on hot humid days. A fan is supplied in every room.

Overall, the place a location was excellent. A perfect place to have a family gathering. I woll recommend it to everyone. We were able to use the fire pit, the grill, the horseshoes, and volleyball court. Having the the extra bunkhouse was great as well. We had family and friends from wWashington State and Ohio come to visist and it turned out great. The only complaint I have is the grill needs to be worked on or be replaced. We had a terrible time cooking food with it. Everything else was perfect.

This was an excellent vacation. Very roomy cabin and the bunkhouse was a plus with our group of 11. The boys had lots of room to play and hit wiffle balls outside. The town was just down the road and we went to Mt Rushmore in the morning and night since it was so close. We are thinking of coming back in a couple of years again.

Lots of room for nine friends to have their own spaces. Two gathering areas for separate activities (ie: tv vs. board games). Glorious natural surroundings with almost daily visits of deer and elk. Quiet neighborhood. Loved the covered porch for additional enjoyment of pleasant weather.

Excellent property to use as a hub for activities in the Black Hills. We enjoyed easy access to the Mickelson Trail directly from the house, on our bikes. TRL has ample bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas that make for great activities - catching up with stories, watching FB (new TVs :-)), games, etc. while still allowing personal space when needed. The kitchen is well-stocked and makes dining in fun and easy. Don't want to cook, access to Hill City for a night out is five minutes away. We were able to bike, hike (Harney Peak), four wheel, fish, and new addition of Corn Hole competition. The deck, yard, and grill made the great weather a total blessing. We are repeat visitors and will be back again next year. Thanks TRL Team!!

This was a wonderful place for our family be together but also spread out. The surrounding yard also gave us lots of room for outdoor games along with morning coffee on the deck and the swing overlooking the creek. This was one of the cleanest properties we have stayed at and there were plenty of towels and washcloths, which seem to be in short supply at some VRBOs. We would definitely recommend this place!

This place was absolutely perfect for our family reunion. It was so close to Hill City for quick grocery runs, but tucked up in the hills so you felt far away from everything. It was so peaceful! The house/bunkhouse was perfect for spreading out a little and getting babies naps. The property was absolutely beautiful with a little creek to play in, horseshoes, volleyball, and plenty of space to run! I highly recommend and would definitely come back!
