Stayed Jun 12, 2026We had a marvellous time at the Lodge in Ballingary. It was well equipped, nicely presented, spotless and located in tranquil countryside half an hour from Kilkenny with all it has to offer. The provision of a few treats was both thoughtful and generous. Avril made us feel very warmly welcome on our arrival and Michael came over for a friendly chat prior to our departure. They are both considerate hosts. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Stayed Jan 8, 2026Really liked the cozy atmosphere and quaint qualities. It was hard to find. That said, we were traveling at night, so it was particularly challenging. But we loved waking up in the morning to a quiet, peaceful location with coffee, sunshine, and a relaxed atmosphere!

Stayed Sep 18, 2025Lovely place to stay. My only wish was that there was a picture of the property from the road so that it made it easier to identify as being the correct location. Other than that, it was great! Had homemade muffins awaiting us. Very cozy and comfortable.

Stayed Aug 7, 2025This was a great stop off point on our way from Dublin to the south coast. Owners are very responsive and the place was newly remodeled, cute and tidy. Set in a rural, village neighborhood, there is not a lot to do in the immediate area, but many options within a relatively short drive.

Stayed Jul 1, 2025My wife and I found the place easily and used it as a home base for the first week of our honeymoon to travel al over Ireland during the day and have a nice place to lay our head at night and have breakfast in the morning.

Stayed Oct 10, 2024Many thanks to Avril and Michael for allowing to rent this lovely lodge out. If you love the countryside this is the place to come in rural tipperary. It's been beautifully converted from a stable and has everything you would need in it. Avril is great with communication and is next door if you need anything. There is a local taxi service available in ballingarry, if you ask Avril for details. Very handy if you need a night out outside of ballingarry! Thanks again to Avril and Michael for everything. We look forward to coming back again!
