The Lodge at Bodenlodge is located in the charming Costal Village of Malahide

Wonderful place in a cool village with great food and drink options—just walk through the beautiful castle grounds! And a quick train ride to Dublin. Shay was a gracious host.

The property was so clean, the sheets smelled amazing, the bed so comfy, love all the mirrors for getting ready and the owner Shay was extremely nice, welcoming and helpful for a solo traveler!

Property was charming and quiet, just a short walk from Malahide castle and village. Property owner was amiable and helpful and a list of local restaurants and attractions was provided. My wife and I had a lovely stay.

Great space for our stay! The room was clean and the walk to the village was super nice because we'd go through the park. Everything you might need is within walking distance including the train which can take you into Dublin. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space for 2 people. The host was super nice at checkin and gave us a good recommendation for lunch when we arrived. Very much recommend this place!

This was our final stop on our journey through Ireland and it was a wonderful way to close out our adventure. Shay was an excellent host, meeting us upon arrival and offering some excellent tips for Malahide and the surrounding areas. The cottage was exquisite, with a comfy and friendly vibe. The walk into town was amazing, as it led you along a path through the Malahide Castle property and surrounding park. Stunning! The proximity to other locations such as Howth, the Cliff Walk and downtown Dublin were quickly accessed by car. All in all, the Lodge at Bodenlodge was a lovely way to close out our trip…a 10/10. We would absolutely recommend this property.

The hosts were wonderful. It is very clean and very cute. It was close to the city center of Malahide and you can take a train into Dublin (which I highly recommend for about 10 euro per person.). I would most definitely would stay here again and I will recommend to friends and family.

This place is top notch! One of the nicest VRBO’s we’ve stayed in. Well equipped with everything you need, modern and well maintained. The owner lives on the property and is very easy to communicate with. Highly recommend.

Very cute little cottage in a GREAT location!

Our group of 3 loved our 2 night stay at Bodenlodge! The double bed and rollaway were comfortable and the space was so well appointed with lots of nice touches. We didn't have the chance to use the outdoor space but would have loved to! Location was great, easy and pleasant walking distance to the castle and village. We used the train and taxis to get around as we didn't have a car, and this worked great. Would absolutely stay again!

The Lodge was a fantastic place to stay. While some may not appreciate the spiral staircase to get to the upsatirs bedroom, it reminded me of a mountain cottage with a bit nostalgia.

Shay is a friendly host. Met us to assure we were settled in. Lovely property, very quiet, very close to a lovely castle and park and walking distance to Malahide and train station for easy access to Dublin.
