Place was as described. Couldn't ask for a better location. Tons of space for the kids to run around. Just wish it was sunny all week but we still enjoyed watching movies in the theater room when it rained. Wish we could've utilized the bar area more but the mosquitoes and spiders were pretty bad during our stay. The beach area was perfect to relax while the kids swim and the guys out fishing. Will definitely rent again.

No toaster, no spatulas, no hot water twice. No paddle board no power at dock. Bench on one dock not useable because of missing bolts, other dock person fell in water because ladder wasn’t secured. The little things on an on an on.

This property worked really well for us. We had a number of family members and wanted some common space and also some privacy. It had a great up north feel and all the amenities we needed. We were there for a large snowfall and it was beautiful.

We just returned from a family reunion week at the Musky Inn. The Inn had everything for every age group. . . for the young folks there was ping pong, volley ball, corn hole, fire pit, swimming, paddle boards, tubing, even futons and a big screen TV :((. For the adults there was a fabulous outdoor bar (where we could watch the kids with their activities) and in the evenings enjoy beautiful sunsets over the water with a glass of wine. There was sunbathing on the beach, boating/tubing, pontooning, or fishing off the pier . . . or even an early morning boat ride (before the kids get up)! There is a full kitchen where each family took one night and cooked for the whole crew. We ate outside on the large decks where spills were not a problem! All in all, the Musky Inn is a great place for a relaxed vacation where you only take swim suits, coverups, flip flops, and nothing else. Please know this is not a luxury vacation spot with room service at your fingertips; it is authentic, historic, and a wonderful place to punch out of life and enjoy some peace and quiet. [I am now wanting to go in the dead of Winter. It must be beautiful there covered in snow. . . .and perhaps ice fishing??]

We were coming up to northern Wisconsin for a family wedding and were looking for a 5 bedroom home that was close to the wedding venue. As long as we were driving 600 plus miles for a wedding, we decided to make a week of it. We were drawn to the pictures of the Musky Inn's lodge/cabin interior and of course all the great reviews. We rented the north side which was perfect for 10 adults and 3 kids, our ages ranged from 82 to 6 years old. Jim was there to greet us and the minute he opened the door for us, we knew we had found the perfect get away for the week. The inside of the Inn is decorated to perfection and the outside grounds are beautiful. We especially love the ground level beach. No steep hills to climb up and down to get to the water. All the way out to the end of the docks and beyond is sand, no weeds at all! There was plenty of dock space for our boat and we really appreciated the covered bumper poles to tie up to. We spent a few rainy hours under the roof of the bar (and a lot of sunny hours too). We liked that we could be outside and stay dry! The deck off the house is huge and has a lot of seating area. One of the perks of the Musky Inn is that it has air conditioning. A couple days it was really muggy and we sure did appreciate it. We love the history of the building and it is in a great location. While we were in St. Germain, we went horse back riding, went to the Monday Flea Market, drove over to Michigan and hiked the Porcupine Mountains along Lake Superior, went over to Eagle River to do touristy stuff and of course went to the wedding. Jim is a great host (and a great singer/guitar player) and we appreciated that he was there to greet us! We loved our stay so much that in 2018 we are bringing along our extended family of 30 and renting out the whole Inn. We can't wait!

Thank you so much Jim for a tremendous facility to accommodate our 20 people, from all over the country, for our snowmobile weekend… our ages ran from 25 years old to 64 years old and the history of the Lodge in the area interested everyone! The facility was fantastic in order to bring everyone together after a crazy day on the trails. Thank you again Jim, we Are planning the Sasquatch Search for 2018.
