This was the filthiest place , I have ever seen. Dirty, used silverware in the drawers. Big disgusting stains on couch and bedsheets. The stove had thick crusts of food stuck on it. The fridge had lots of mold in it (I was told it wasn't there for use anyways). There wasn't enough water to clean the dishes. I wasn't expecting a luxury experience, but for the money I can definitely expect a clean place. We cut our 2 night stay short and left after one. After pointing out the conditions to the owner, he did apologize, but was only concerned about a bad review. Sorry Mark, but we work very hard for our money and hope to keep some other people from making the same mistake.

This was a very unique experience and one well worth doing! The host, Mark, was great at communication and setting expectations. I think he said it best when he mentioned that it was basically camping on a boat. I would highly recommend taking the option to rent the dinghy for transportation to and from the boat. This was a fantastic experience and one we will remember for the rest of our lives.

We had a different boat, a little bit bigger, green with an upper deck also with free use of kayak. The description was what it said it would be, basically camping on the water. There were mosquitos but that could not be helped. There was a screen for the sleeping area which kept them out for the most part and there was a screen at the sliding doors to help keep them out of the boat as well. The host was exceptional. We rented a dingy to get back and forth to the marina instead of using the kayak, which the host gave us a reasonable rate. If we needed to reach out to him, he was always there ready and able to assist. We rented a charter boat with the host for one day and that was very exciting and fun! He took us around the area and we stopped off at a couple of nice Tiki bar and grills and then stopped to take a couple of swims. It was a true adventure for us. Thanks Mark !

Mark's exceptional hosting skills, clear communication, and attentive care ensured that our experience on the houseboat was nothing short of amazing. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had a memorable time. Thanks to Mark, our first experience on a houseboat was truly unforgettable, and we're already looking forward to our next visit.

The boat is nice for the price and Mark is a good host. We took one of Mark's boat tours which was the highlight of the 2 day stay. If you like to kayak and take his boat tour you will be satisfied. Mark will do what you want like, go swimming on the sand bars, fishing or a sunset cruise around. If you want to just hang on the boat and have a great view and surrounding amenities then, not so much right now. There is construction all around you.

This was not as advertised. It’s filthy, the air conditioners barley put out cold air because they were so full of dirt and thick build up, they were duct taped sloppily into the ceiling so there were hundreds of mosquitoes that got in and bit us all night, there is no power in the boat the electric is powered by extension cords from the trailer lot that he plugged lamps into. The canoe has no seats, actually it did but they were broken plastic pieces in the floor of it. The kayak was half sunk in the front of the boat unusable, when the sun went down the roaches came out, the bites on our bodies were from bed bugs, the place smelled like a sewer, I’m sure because the black water tanks weren’t emptied on a regular basis. The restrooms for public use were in a shipping container behind a huge metal trash container. After you walk through the piles of rocks, rotting lumber, a back hoe parked in the lot, you needed a code for the ONLY restroom for everyone to use which is not cooled because the ac is broken, and the only shower is full of the regular full time residents soaps, and body puffs hanging in it. The light to the bathroom was out. The amenities were plastic bags of old condiments, plastic ware from others before us, a cooler mark put ice in, a gallon of crystals water, and used shampoo in the shower. The head or toilet smelled like a sewer , worse than a portapotty and thus making the entire 10ft living space stink like death, moldy as well. We had two towels.

The boat was ok. It is a boat..not anything else really. It was clean. Comfy beds. The actual bathroom is really not on the boat. At least the bathroom that was onshore was clean and nice condition. The surrounding area/ marina could use upgrade..or at least a haul out of sunken/ thrashed boats would help. No ammenities/ resturants not walkable distance. Mark was helpful, and was responsive. If you are looking for some rustic this is it.

Staying on a boat is a unique experience. The surrounding area was peaceful. There were lots of little touches like toiletries and tea/coffee so you’re covered if you’ve forgotten anything. We did have issues with the mosquitoes with being right on the water so make sure to take lots of repellant.

So, My wife and I booked this boat knowning what camping is all about. We have no issues staying in a rustic setting as we car camp several times a year. First the good, Marc is a very likeable host, communication whether good or bad is his strong point. The bad, we were communicated with the morning of our stay and told to take our time (mind you check in time is at 3:30) we were told the later the better as he had a pilot flying in later to rent a more expensive boat for a longer duration that we were and he tried to explain it off as seniority that he had to cater to him and that also the water pump had gone out and the boat didnt have any running water as advertised (i get it stuff happens but fix it instead of concentrating on the captain) I guess our money is as good as we didn't spend as much and didn't deserve what we had paid for. So after sitting at the meet up location until 5:30pm, Marc finally called and said start loading up our stuff on the smaller boat as the captain was finally close. We get to our rental boat well after sunset, which is one of the main reasons we chose this, so the first night was shot. When we got up the next morning we started noticing black mold in the cuddy cabin, a lot of filth and junk everywhere on the boat. I do believe Marc is a great guy but needs to take some time and clean, we didn't expect anything other than a camping experience as we had done before but we would not have done this if we had known this.

My friend and I stayed for three nights on the boat. Mark is very friendly and very accommodating. We enjoyed watching the storms on the boat and kayaking around the bay. The boat is most certainly older and has some issues but overall we enjoyed our stay. Make sure to pack lots of mosquito repellent because you will become dinner out in the bay.

Great couple of nights! It’s an experience - how often do yo get to take a dingy boat out across the water to your accommodations. It’s not the Hilton, but a good comfortable private setting. Mark was very accommodating with everything.

Great experience! The boat was nice, Mark was the best - very attentive and accomodating, and was quick to help with any issue we had. It is just as much an adventure as a place to stay, so keep that in mind! The boat location is very peaceful and it's convenient for exploring the Keys. We would stay here again!

We had a nice time. It was fun to stay on the boat for two nights and sit on the deck and watch the sunset. It was also a good location for exploring the area. Mark is a good host. The boat could use some updates but Marks post says -- it's not the Hilton. The marinas public bathhouse and laundry was in the process of being remodeled or something as it wasn't always available.
