The BOAT STAYS anchored. we have not changed our prices in 5 yrs! if your not 100% excited/ appreciate this, please stop reading and blessings to you with your vacation plans:) Otherwise, upon your arrival, I will take you out to the boat in one of our dinghies, at which time I'll go through everything with you. we supply a double kayak that you can use for back and forth, or for a little more, a motorized dinghy is recommended. this makes back and forth much easier, and exploring lots of fun! We would like to say, that we've really put a lot of effort into making your stay as relaxing and fun as possible! the boat isn't perfect, so if you're a picky, or a high maintenance, sort of individual, this may not be the adventure for you. It's been our observation, that this adventure has been best suited for kids 60 years of age and under. We ask that you**Please call** if you have any questions !! The wildlife is often jaw dropping, Often times you'll have manatee or dolphins stop by for a visit! The boat is stocked with everything you'll need) coffee maker, coffee, filters, water, seasonings, olive oil, etc... You'll have a smooth running generator to power everything (8hrs run time/day) and a propane grill to cook up your favorite steak or lobster! There is running water with a shower (not heated). Fishing off the back has proven to be super, for the rite fisher person of course. Please see pictures in description. Thanks so much for your interest! We really look forward to seeing you soon!! If you are looking for a great outdoor venture, love Mother Nature and want the best outdoor water experience, this boat is for you. It is like staying in an old cabin on the water and will discriminate the typical hotel stay. The fishing, kayaking to the tiki hut through the everglades to Manatee Marks Private Secret TikiHut! It will blow your mind!!! Traveling by way of dinghy to the Manatee Bay Beach was additionally, a fabulous, one of a kind experience!! Pick Manatee Mark’s Brian he’ll give you the best local restaurants an bars with bands and ask him about Cupcake Island!!!

Too far from the shore. Boat needs a lot of TLC smells like a wet dog. Host is very nice and helpful. We were not able to stay just spent a few hours and left.

This was a very unique property! Its on the water away from the doc so you have to reserve a dingy (which was very handy). Its not a hotel but we camp a lot, so this was like a good glamping experience for us. We were rained hard but it provided a good shell and it did NOT rock hard, which was amazing! Mark is pretty hands on on taking care of the guests and he was really helpful on telling us what's available around the area. Cold shower is available on the boat but there are also a shower on land where we had access. That was very helpful also! Having a generator for the coffee makers and microwave was really nice too. We were able to charge our phones also through solar power and generator (for the rainy day). Next time, I'd bring things to BBQ and explore the area more!

Mark is a true VRBO Host. Many listings have just become corporate properties, Mark offers a real vacation rental by owner experience. We stayed at several locations during our Florida stay, and the Bonnie Vie was a highlight of our trip. We love camping and this place hit the spot perfectly. It’s not a new boat, (and was way more in our price range) but was perfect for us. Swimming right off the boat. Kayaking, the little motor boat. Such an adventure. (Make sure to ask Mark about the hidden place to explore.) Being away from land, away from the hustle of daily life, allowed us to take a breath, and reconnect with the world and each other. The sun, the fog, the breeze, the stillness. The gentle rocking of the boat. Fishes, birds. Water lapping on the sides of the Bonnie Vie. The stars. Oh my gosh the stars. Twinkle lights, lanterns, and the Comb Jellies glowing in the water were such a surprise and a real treat. Thank you Mark for the wonderful memories.

Toilet is small and grossIt smells strongly of mildew and oil in the cabinThe details regarding rental of his shuttle boat should be made clear in the rental before booking: It was a waste of money, unless you wanted to come and go multiple times

Grungy old boat that does not work anchored in bay. Not enough water onboard for shower. Toilet is small boat toilet. No WiFi. Couple old generators. I was going to do a hotel and should have. Tent camping has better amenities. Fridge is full of cleaning supplies and doesn’t work. He has two dinghy’s for rent to get you back and forth. Owner has a scary temper. He got us out of bed at 9 pm to trade out dinghy’s and drop him off.

We had such a fun and unique stay with Manatee Mark in Key Largo! Staying on one of the boats was definitely an adventure. It’s not anything super glamorous, but it was clean, comfortable, affordable, and made for a really memorable experience.Mark was awesome—super chill, welcoming, and always available if we needed anything. You can tell he genuinely wants guests to have a good time. One of our favorite parts was getting out on the water. While kayaking we even found a starfish and saw a bunch of bait fish swimming around, which made it feel like a real Florida Keys experience. If you’re looking for something a little different, relaxed, and budget-friendly in Key Largo, this is a great option. Thanks again, Mark!

We had a wonderful time at sea! Mark is a wonderful host and very easy to work with. He was helpful and quick to attend to any issues. This is a perfect place to chill out and relax. We did rent the dinghy and were so glad we did! We spent a lot of time exploring the cove, did some fishing, and hung out at the little beach nearby where we were the only people there! If you aren’t fussy and are a go with the flow kind of person, this is a great place. Definitely like camping on the water. Beautiful sunrises!

Manatee Mark!! We had a fantastic and relaxing stay and our host Mark was excellent in every way. He was patient with us when we had a big delay coming from the airport, was very communicative, and showed us such peaceful little secret spots. We had a great stay and a much needed break from the city :)

Enjoyed a couple wonderful days enjoying this unique experience with my 20 year old daughter. We did have a couple challenges figuring things out on the boat (newbies!) but Mark was quick to help. I enjoyed reading and relaxing on the top deck while my daughter spent the days fishing in the kayak! She loved it and caught like 75 plus fish-crazy! And a nurse shark went right under the kayak. We travel to wellington Florida annually for horse show and can gaurantee that we will be back!

My son and I stayed here to be near Key Largo and we had a great time. The views from the boat at night, at sunrise and sunset were amazing. The location just can't be beat. Mark as a host is bar far the most communicative host I've ever dealt with and he's taken the time to provide a lot of the items you would need when staying there. One thing I'd recommend is to pack light! I also recommend renting a small boat from Mark to make it easier to get back and forth from the boat to the marina. I also recommend taking the kayak that's included in the price of your stay to explore the area. Sitting up top on the boat and feeling the breeze with the sound of the waves lapping against the boat was great. Honestly I wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy it even more but it was a great time for us both. Some other things you will want to know: get there for check in during the daytime because getting from the Marina to your boat at night is more tricky. The bathroom has a camper toilet so I'd also recommend using the Marina for #2 :). But as long as your expectations are appropriate you will have a great time.

My 16yr son, Ben and I stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed our time camping on Bonne Vie. We fished, crabbed and kayaked all over the cove, saw a manatee and her calf swim right under our yak. Mark is a fantastic host, very communicative and brought us ice two days in a row and took us to the secret tiki, that was so beautiful! We had a great mom & son time!! Star gazing is amazing too. Mark's ad is very accurate, if you listen clearly to his instructions on how to operate the Bonne Vie, you will have a great time like we did! Highly recommend, we will be back!

My wife and I stayed here in March 2025. Weather was perfect. Mark was very responsive and made sure to accommodate our schedule. The boat itself is very nice. It’s anchored in a well-protected bay, so you have great views, but there’s no need to worry about anything. You don’t need to know anything about boats or boating to stay here. Some of the reviews mention limited generator time - I can’t understand why anyone found this to be relevant. There’s also a high powered inverter you can use to power things. We are going to come back next year for sure.

Stay is exactly as advertised, the very first night we saw 2 dolphins playing around less than 25yards from the boat. Saw plenty of other wildlife as well, crabs, rays, nurse sharks, and a manatee. Fishing is fun with live shrimp right off the boat. The serenity of being tucked in a mangrove cove on a boat, living the liveaboard lifestyle is a very different way to spend a vacation.

We had the best time relaxing and exploring. The Bonne-Vie is just a short dinghy ride from the dock and it’s in a quiet, peaceful cove where we were able to watch wildlife from the boat and fish. The boat has plenty of room and Mark is an amazing host and gives you an intro to everything on the boat and is quick to respond and help with any questions. We loved watching the sunrise and stars from the bunny pad and going to the nearby small, secluded beach. We can’t wait to come back!

Mark is a great host and communicator, responses were always very quick and helpful, wonderful landscape, friendly and helpful neighbors on the other boats, perfectly located to discover Miami and the Keys. As stated in the description and other reviews, be aware that this is not a new boat. If you're ok with this fact, you'll love this place.
