Stayed Mar 2, 2026Private, Rustic & Romantic, So peaceful. That being said this is a great place to teach kids how to snorkel as the water is shallow enough to stand until you get out in the middle. Water is so clear you can see the fish swimming around standing on the deck! Kayak as much as you want and anytime you want. A favorite spot for fishing. Peter and Gabrielle Know everyone and everyone knows them and that is a good thing! Our rental car broke down and we called them and our car problems were fixed in 30 minutes. You may want to take your favorite snacks, shopping is very limited.

Stayed May 23, 2025We spent a week on Sunset point houseboat and already can’t wait to return! The house is exactly as described, an older house boat with lots of charm and amazing views from every bedroom. The snorkeling under the house is excellent. Ride the tides down to the shipwreck and explore all the fish swimming around in the big rusty steel hull and you will not be disappointed. You’re in very convenient distance to the airport and the town of fresh Creek. The hosts live right next-door behind trees, and they were helpful, but not intrusive at all. Keeping in touch by text was very easy if we had any questions. It was a great time chatting with them and hearing about the island — super cool couple. Peter is also an accomplished chef and made us the best anniversary meal. I highly recommend a meal from him during your stay.A few things to consider before booking this place, this is not a luxury accommodation, it is humble and comfortable and practical. Be sure to bring lots of bug repellent and sunscreen as it’s hard to come by them on the island. The a/c in the bedrooms is excellent, while you enjoy the breezes and multiple fans in the public areas. Every room has its own porch and they’re pretty private from each other. We saw tons of fish just watching with binoculars from the upper level. Unique! Also if you are a dog person, you will be in heaven because the owners have a very sweet dog, Honey who will hang out with you as much as you like. I cried when I had to hug her goodbye.

Stayed Jan 24, 2025The house has a great atmosphere as a vintage houseboat with the wood finish and decks off every room. The weather was poor during our stay so our ocean activity was limited, but swimming in the tidal creek was always fine. Gabrielle is a great host, responding to our requests quickly, with extensive local knowledge and contacts. She and Peter even found and gave us extra diving gear we had left at home.

Stayed Nov 9, 2023The house boat is really a house on Fresh Creek. It's not floating but is solidly on poured concrete pillars. Great accommodations. We caught multiple fish species right off the deck. We took out the kayaks and tooled around, and even caught some bonefish in the nearby flats. We swam in the creek and watched the stunning sunsets from the back deck. Andros is a gem of an island, undisturbed by the normal commercialization of the Bahamas, and this houseboat is a gem of place to stay when you're ready to relax and really get away from it all. I'd like to give a huge thank you to Gabrielle for her help making our stay great. She was readily available to help out with the small things we needed (like getting the internet hooked up or a water jug refill) at literally a moments notice.

Stayed Dec 28, 2022Three of us stayed in the house on Fresh Creek and we’re counting down the days until we can go back with more people to experience it all over again! The house was everything we could have wanted and more! Everything we could have needed was already in the house - towels, soap, even spare blankets. Both Gabrielle and Peter were so welcoming and kind for the duration of our stay - ensuring we had everything needed and answering our questions throughout the week. There was an incredible book with a list of all Andros activities - it was like a travel agent had written everything to do on the island specific to the house and your stay there! We found this really helpful and picked out several ideas for our week long stay. The book had specific directions from the house to the Blue Holes which we took pictures of and followed. Gabrielle also recommended specific reef fishing guides and fly fishing guides for our group. We took both recommendations and had an experience we’ll never forget! They were so great, we all swear we’re going to only go back to the same guides whenever we make it back to Fresh Creek. We utilized kayaks almost every day, fed the bright fish that live under the house, enjoyed many sunsets and the incredible view! We can’t speak highly enough of our stay with Gabrielle and Peter or the many incredible people we met throughout the week. We will be back!

Stayed Dec 4, 2022We absolutely loved staying here. We were attracted to the idea of being entirely surrounded by water and we were not disappointed! There are beautiful views at every hour of the day. We loved snorkeling under the house where all the fish hang out. Honey, the owners dog, came by to visit and swim with us many times. You can tell the house has been filled with love for a long time. The owners left some materials in the house to help us navigate the island and know what sites to visit. This was immensely helpful since it was our first time and we really had no idea what to do other than go diving at Small Hope. The island has so much interesting history that we really enjoyed learning about. Our hosts also helped us arrange a car rental which was much appreciated. They communicated clearly and in a timely manner. Most importantly, they are simply lovely people. My only words of advice for future guests is to be prepared for bugs. Long pants, long sleeves, and socks will save you in the evenings. Covering up will allow you to watch the sunset in peace. Bug spray also helps. If ever we return to Andros, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Gabrielle and Peter!
