Vashon, Washington
This bright and quirky vintage sailboat is a Vashon Island waterfront rental, just a ferry ride from Seattle or Tacoma.
Enjoy a special and unique experience on this cozy yacht. Stay onboard and cook, relax, play cards, hang with neighbors, and sit in the cockpit for customary sundowners (cocktails at sundown).
Plan ahead and have the sailboat chartered by a private captain for the day for one of the greatest sailing adventures on Vashon Island.
This floating home features a full-size bed in the v-berth, triangle-shaped. The dining table converts into a single bed in a few simple steps. Two-burner alcohol stove, with utensils, a pot, and frying pan, help create almost any meal. Percolator and coffee cups (sugar, but no coffee or creamer at this time) turn this into a glamorous Vashon Island camping experience.
There is plenty of storage space on the sailboat for food and clothes. Find folding chairs on the bow for people watching, or pirate watching, arrrgh.
The cockpit in the stern can be utilized to catch nature and wildlife, especially in the early mornings and early evenings. Find a folding table in the cockpit as well for dining al fresco. The boat has limited power and only a flashlight for light.
Note: This is an adult only Vashon Island accommodation. There is a canna-friendly space inside the yacht, including b0ng, lighter, and b0wls.
Please be respectful of use when seeing neighbors and children nearby.
Cigarettes allowed outdoors only. $300 fine for any evidence of cigarette usage inside the sailboat.
Permit number: exempt
Great host
I stayed two nights on this sweet little boat and enjoyed the cozy comfort. The hosts were very quick with communication and helpful with details. The boat was well stocked, and the bed cozy, you can look up at the stars from your cozy bed! The marina was quiet with just a couple of other boaters walking on the docks now and then. Everyone very friendly. You have to leave the boat and walk 200+ steps to go up to the showers and bathroom. The boat has a space heater and battery lantern which keep it plenty warm and cozy with enough light at night, minimal power but all you need including an iPhone charger. No Wi-Fi. I would recommend arriving during daylight hours, so you can get familiar with getting on and off the boat, well lit at night along the docks, but I found having my own small flashlight to be helpful. I am 5‘3“ and had room to stand and move around but anyone much taller might need to bend. Cozy and cute. I highly recommend. A beautiful view of the marina and water. Very peaceful.
I spent two nights here and had a great time. The boat was very cute and comfortable. The check in process was easy and we had no problem finding the marina. We were able to use the stove and French press, and Marie was helpful with everything. The bathrooms and shower were a bit of a walk but were usually unoccupied and clean. We are very happy with our time on Vashon island!
Cute little sailboat. Very quiet marina. Nice little seating areas. Bathrooms/shower on shore, just a short walk. Also a short walk to a market. The quiet was very welcome after the crowds of the Strawberry Festival. Hatch over the bed brought in a nice cool breeze. Alcohol stove worked just fine. Appreciated the detailed arrival instructions. Host easy to contact and very helpful.
