Perfect spot for a needed vacation. Christa and Lee were extremely responsive and checked in on us during our stay. The boat was perfect. We would love to return!

Wonderful experience! We stayed 3 amazing nights on the Southern Cross and it was something we won't forget. The location is perfect being close to restaurants and Riverwalk, so there is plenty to do without leaving the area, which we loved. The yacht has been well taken care of and is quite comfortable. Christa and Lee are so thoughtful with providing everything that is needed, and then some! Communication was great! No question left unanswered. You'll meet with them at arrival to do a walk thru which is necessary since this is a yacht. Truly best experience I have had with property owners!

This is a very unique stay! Very quiet and relaxing with everything you need! Kichen galley is great, tvs with streaming, and ac/heat. Bring your charcuterie and wine and enjoy an early evening happy hour with river breeze, a great view of the Battleship North Carolina, and a nice sunset! Lots to do in Wilmington and great restaurants within walking distance as well as the Riverwalk and Front Street!

My daughter and I stayed for 2 nights and had the most amazing time. Christa and Lee are fantastic hosts - tending to every detail. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful experience. My wife and I booked this stay in anticipation of future live-aboard life to see what it might be like. Our hosts Christa and Lee made sure everything was just right. I’m 6’2” and had no problem getting around the boat, I even fit in the shower. This was so much nicer than a hotel room, so much space and very comfortable. The location is great, it’s a 10 minute walk to downtown Wilmington with plenty to do. Parking was very close to the boat as well. We will be returning soon!

Staying on the Southern Cross is always a wonderful experience. Lee and Christa are attentive hosts. Beautiful views in the marina near Live Oak, multiple restaurants and a short drive downtown .

Our stay here was an awesome experience. From our communications with the owners of the beautiful vessel to the location. It was maybe a 10 minute walk to our concert at Live Oak bank Pavilion and about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the heart of the downtown area with plenty of great places to eat, drink and be merry. Lee and his partner Christa were the best hosts one could ever wish for from making the reservation to checkout. Also, the water and coffee were greatly appreciated. The layout of the motor yacht was awesome with plenty of space and the view from the stern seating area with morning coffee or afternoon cocktails cannot be beat. We even saw a little otter poke his head out of the water one morning.

Super beautiful location and property, hosts and generous and very welcoming, great communication and very helpful orientation to the workings of the boat. Such an amazing location, so easy to access fun downtown food and activities. Relaxing and comfortable place to gather, play games, enjoy the river.

Beautiful yacht, very clean. So close to downtown. We had a wonderful weekend, can’t wait to go back for a longer stay!

We had a wonderful time celebrating our 25th anniversary on Southern Cross and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a truly unique stay in Wilmington. Lee & Christa were fantastic to work with and we looking forward to going back soon!

The hosts were incredibly welcoming and accommodating in everyway! From orienting us to their yacht to sharing their favorite local eats and things to do! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! 10 out of 10 for sure!

We were looking for a unique place to stay for our 30th anniversary and The Southern Cross was perfect!! Christa and Lee were delightful and gave us a wonderful orientation of the yacht and checked in on us to make sure everything was going well. The location was fantastic and easy walking distance to downtown Wilmington and many great restaurants. I highly recommend this property!!

Fantastic stay - Christa met us at the boat and explained everything. Great location, and s well stocked with anything we might need (including snacks :)). Mother daughter trip, we had bad weather but the boat was very comfortable. First time for my daughter and I sleeping on a boat. Everything was just as described. The host Christa and Lee were awesome.

Southern Cross was the highlight of our trip. We loved relaxing in the mornings and evenings, watching the crab boats come by, all the wildlife, the sailboats and the beautiful sunsets over a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Its so convenient to the riverwalk and all the downtown life. Amazing experience! Cant wait to go back! Our hosts thought of every detail and were so kind. 10 out of 10 recommend!

We loved our hosts. So welcoming. Location was excellent. Food in the area wasVery good. We went in early May and the weather was lovely. Yacht was so comfortable. I loved sitting on the salon day or night. We would do it again

Me and my husband stayed here for a concert that was in town and it was more than I could have hoped for. The boat was lovely, clean, and the hosts taught us everything we needed to know about the boat. We could also see some of live oak from the boat. Staying in a hotel is nothing compared to the experience of staying here:)

This was our 2nd time on the Southern Cross. It’s truly a special, interesting experience. We really enjoyed it 110%. Lee & Christa are excellent at preparing the place as well as making your stay comfortable. Plenty of local restaurants & entertainment.

The Southern Cross was a great weekend rental in a beautiful setting on the Cape Fear River. Lee and Chris are fabulous hosts full of information on the area and completed a full orientation of the boat when we arrived. I highly recommend this unique experience.

This was a wonderful experience. I thought it would be crowded with 4 people but it was not. Restaurants close by. Walking distance to downtown Wilmington. The check in overview took about 30 mins but very needed and informative for our stay. Host was awesome.

Great place to stay !

We had an outstanding time on the Southern Cross, it felt like home away from home. The hosts, Lee and Christa, were the definition of perfection, hospitality, and friendliness. They worked with us to schedule our stay around Hurricane Helene, and were helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Cannot recommend them highly enough! The boat was in Bristol order and made us want to buy our own.

Our weekend on the Southern Cross was perfect from beginning to end. What a cool yacht! Everything you can possibly want is at your fingertips. The owners were super. The atmosphere and location excellent. Live music at the marina, and many establishments have music. You can sit on your deck, look at the stars, sip a glass of wine and hear the music. Awesome!

In town for a concert at Live Oak Pavilion. Could hear the sound check from the boat! Lee and Christa were awesome hosts and give a very thorough check in for those (like us) who are not really boat people. Beautiful sunsets each evening. We will definitely be back!!

We had the best time during our stay on Southern Cross! The owners were so welcoming and accommodating. The yacht is beautiful! It was the perfect little get away to celebrate our 14 year anniversary! We have already recommended Southern Cross to our friends and family.
