The penthouse on the 9th floor was good. Description was fairly correct except it was not 2 levels as described. It was all one floor. Had what was needed and easy short walk to the French Quarter.

Overall, as advertised. Great location for walking to the French Quarter or downtown. Communication ahead of time from the company was somewhat aggressive, often stating that if something was not completed within a 24 hour window, the reservation will be canceled. Otherwise, it was great.

We enjoyed our stay but overall, this property did not meet expectations. The carpets are filthy and floors in the kitchen and bathrooms need mopping. Both exterior doors (to the patio) are hard to lock and once we finally got the living room door locked, we didn’t open it again. Shower in master had to run for about 4 minutes before the water would get hot, and the toilet in the master ran unless you jiggled the handle. The bench seat at the dining table is broken (you will fall if you sit on it, be careful). We’re easy going people and made due but for what we paid, we were disappointed in the condition of the apartment. I shared this information in a survey with Hosteeva as well and there’s been no follow-up. Additionally, about a week ago, we got a notice that our Damage Deposit had been refunded. However, we still have not received it. We're not likely to rent from Hosteeva again.

We began in one apartment that had issues with air conditioning, window shades and slightly under stocked kitchen utensils. The staff was great, coming within minutes of our call, on a Sunday, to address the issues. By that afternoon, though, it was clear the air conditioning was still not working. Another call, brought up one of the staff who showed us two more apartments on the same floor, that were much nicer than the first, with functioning air conditioner. From that point, on, we thoroughly enjoyed the upgrade and made the most of our stay.

Overall, the property is good and we enjoyed our stay because we are not too finicky. I do feel compelled to give an honest review. Pros: the penthouse condo was clean, lots of space, great location, private and shared balcony is a plus, modern decor, 2.5 bthrms, and safe environment. Cons: our room was not what we chose, there is no window or tv in the guest bedroom. Glad i had my tablet to look at tv. The guest bathroom lights tripped several times each day and i had to go to circuit box ea time to get them back on. The patio door lock is really cumbersome and hard to lock. Even the maintenance guy had a hard time with it. One of the patio chairs is dry rotted and need to be replaced as well as the smoke detector battery. This sounds like alot, but with a few minor adjustments, this property can easily be one of the best accomodations downtown New Orleans. I wd def rent from Hosteeva again, but ask for specifics before renting.

We were extremely disappointed by this property, especially considering the high price. The carpets were filthy, completely covered in stains. This caused us to question the cleanliness of the tile flooring, which was a color pattern that would have hidden if they were also filthy. I sat on a barstool in an ivory dress and it left stains on the backside of my dress, so that was dirty too. We had planned to do laundry while there, but there we were unable to get either of the machines working. In the kitchen, there was dish soap, but the sponge that was there wasn't new, it was old and had been used by who knows how many guests which was really gross. The couch that is supposed to open into a bed was broken. We only had 2 guests, but for anyone wants to use it know it doesn't turn into a bed even for cozying up and watching movies. The instructions that we received to get into the (supposedly) secure building didn't work because the keypad was broken, so we kept getting stuck outside waiting for someone else to let us in. Eventually, someone told us about a side door that was just unlocked that we could use to get in. We reached out a couple of times before our arrival with questions for the host and a couple of times during our stay for help with issues, but they never once responded, which was frustrating. The patio furniture was so farpast its expiration date that it was uncomfortable to sit on because the padding was shot. I highly recommend staying somewhere else.

Great location. Very nice accommodations. Building is quiet and view from the balcony was a treat. Highly recommend this apartment. Best of all I would highly recommend Hosteeva customer service. They were the best travel team I have worked with.
