I have to be brutally honest. I have stayed at many VRBOS and this one was the filthiest place I have ever been!! There was no way the house was cleaned by “housekeepers” from the last renters. There were sunflower seeds everywhere..including in the couch cushions. Gum stuck on walls..dirty kitchen, and one of the bedspreads had a huge stain on it like it wasn’t washed! The condition of the townhome was very poor..and nothing like the pictures online. If you want to stay somewhere close to bars and hearing fighting, screaming, and drunk people until 5am..this is the place to stay. We were very disappointed.

The beds were comfortable, but they were extremely loud and squeaky with any movement. Unfortunately, there were also multiple maintenance and accuracy concerns. The toilet lid in one bathroom was broken off, the upstairs bathroom window was stuck partially open, and the fridge ice/water dispenser was not working. Some furniture was broken, and the overall furnishings did not match the listing photos. The WiFi was very slow, which made it difficult to use for streaming or work. We also ran into some functionality issues. The door locking mechanism instructions were incorrect, which made locking and unlocking confusing. The kitchen had minimal silverware (only four spoons), which was difficult for a group.Noise was another major concern. The walls seemed thin, and there was significant noise from nearby bars with loud music late into the night. We wish this had been mentioned in the listing so we could have planned accordingly. The listing also advertised plenty of street parking, but it was very difficult to park on the street due to the high overflow bar parking.Overall, while the beds were comfortable, the combination of maintenance issues, inaccurate listing details, noise, and parking challenges made the stay less enjoyable than expected. With some updates, clearer communication, and repairs, this property could be much better.

For what we paid (much less than the listing price) this was an acceptable landing place for our trip to St Louis. How do we paid the full listing price I would not feel that way.Pros:- free, convenient parking- easy to access downtown attractions like the zoo and the arch by driving, but don't expect to walk- neighborhood seems safe and has several restaurants, a nice coffee shop,a park with playground, and a convenience store within walking distance- grill and outdoor furniture in semi-private yard- spacious inside so that we were not piled on top of each other.Cons:- kitchen could use a casserole or cake pan for oven, larger cooking pot for soup, cutting board, mixing bowl for salad, maybe some measuring cups/spoons.- needs cosmetic repairs and thorough cleaning such as behind furniture, floorboards, walls- some of the windows are not installed properly and sealed and therefore drafty with cold or hot air from outsideOur main complaints were 1) three out of six beds did not have top sheets and only three bath towels were provided. In spite of contacting the host several times, more sheets and towels were never delivered. 2)even though we filled out the check-in form, we did not get check-in information sent. We sat outside trying to reach the host fir 30 minutes before finally getting check in info. This *COULD BE* a very good stay if the linens were provided, communication time faster, and additional kitchen supplies.

We wound up leaving the place 30 minutes after arrival. I booked for 3 people over 50. Upon arrival one of the bedrooms we found the blinds had been torn down so there was no privacy in there. In the room with the bunkbeds there was a large patch on the wall with rotting at the base of the wall where the patch was. The other bedroom had two beds but there were small black things on the bedding (maybe bugs, we couldn’t tell). We left and got a hotel nearby and asked the owner for a refund which so far we haven’t received.

This property is extremely spacious, plenty of places for everyon to sleep and not be on top of each other. The location is pretty central. A 9 minute drive to the zoo and Forest Park and 9 minutes the other way to go downtown to the arch and places such as City Museum and the aquarium. The only issue we had was that one of the blinds in the first bedroom was off. And given the fact of that room faces the local businesses the lights were shining directly on the bed making it difficult to sleep. Hopefully Dan will be ble to get it repaired before the next guests stay.

We were so close to Forest Park, and it was a quiet neighborhood with off-street parking. But the beds were awful. Not just squeaky but loud and worn out. Still might be a good choice for a short stay.

While there were what I would call minor cosmetic and cleanliness issues, someone forgot to wipe the table and counter, I give this 5 stars because it was pretty much what I expected to see for the asking price. It was perfect for our family of 6, with 3 big teens. They like their space at the end of the day and this property served us well. We had our own vehicle, there was parking for us, we felt safe there too. It was a short drive to down town or to the Forest Park area. We had a great stay in St. Louis and this place was a big contributor to that. Thank you for being there and being affordable too!

Not a good experience with this home. We noticed about an hour after arrival that we only had 3 bath towels for 8 people. We contacted the host right away. He responded quickly confirming he would check with the cleaning service about this. He confirmed they forgot to stock the towels and would send them as soon as possible. No towels were ever dropped off despite numerous follow up calls and texts to the host. Many in our group did not shower that weekend. In addition to this, the bottom bunk bed has broken rods, the mattress sags, and the bed is extremely squeaky. The other beds in the house all squeak as well. The front door has a 1-2 inch gap at the bottom which leaked cold air the entire weekend (high temperature that weekend was 28 degrees and snowing). The microwave didn't work (lights and clock work but nothing else) and the stove filled the kitchen of gas smell when turned on. We were unable to heat up leftovers or cook anything during our stay. The water and ice dispensers in the refrigerator did not work either. The furniture in the home is not what is shown on the listing and the couch has a busted arm (this was not a huge deal for us but I wanted to provide all information in this review). The location was great for what we were doing that weekend, but everything else was a BIG miss.

This property’s location was super amazing. Walkable to many restaurants, the Improv Shop (where my group was performing) and bars. For this reason, I’d stay again! As far as comfort…the mattresses were awful. I slept on the bunk bed which was very shaky, you can’t move at all in the bed without it squeaking and moving. My teammate slept in the room with the double beds and said the plastic in the mattress was also super loud. Another member in our company ended up sleeping on the couch then moving to the floor because the mattress was so uncomfortable.
