Comfortable Value Lodgings Long Term Too! @ Union Sq SF 8g

No hot water the whole time, was unclear before booking that shower and toilet were not in room. They clean the rooms, once a week??? Had to call a number for some random person, different each time to come open the door since no staff were at the desk during the day.

Chinatown was across the street with plenty of shops and restaurants. The room was a little stuffy. Cool breeze with the window open the only downside is that it faces the main street and u can hear all noises, from people talking to sirens blasting, dump truck comes by at nite and u can hear that. With the window closed the noise is not too bad. The place had a cool place to lounge at and the free coffee was an added plus. Just a reminder this place is an urban hotel where the room is just a bed and table. There are towels in the closet for the shared batrooms and showers. TV in the room had a great selection of channels. There is a mirror and sink in the room. The people at the front desk are professional and pleasant. There are vending machines in front by lounge. I would definitely stay here if I am in town for an overnight. Which is why I selected this with my son for a one day trip to catch a basketball game, justed needed to sleep for a night and not in need for the amenities u get from a hotel. Overall a great experience and the cleaning staff keep this place very clean.

Room was sanitary but the blinds and carpet were a bit grimy, also there were a couple bugs around. Overall it was pretty good and amenities were nice.

Everything was very good! Very clean and orderly! Very convenient to Chinatown.

Loved this place! Clean and quiet! Sharing bathroom had made us nervous before coming, it was clean and always available when needed, and we got a room across the hall. Lounge was cute and staff was so friendly and helpful. GREAT location!!

In a great location with a bed and sink for one night. The bed was uncomfortable, but otherwise it was fine.

Having stayed in small single space hotels with shared bathrooms/showers I wasn’t expecting very high ratings. However the host responded quickly, rooms were clean, and location was amazing (right next to china town gate). It is a great place to stay if you plan to be out all day long and just need a clean, easy, near bed. My downsides are that there is no AC control so it gets a little chilly at night. Ventilation in rooms is poor so it will get pretty humid as well. I’ve also heard many people haven’t gotten their security deposit back. I’m hoping that’s not the case but if you don’t want to risk losing that I’d recommend trying a more established hotel chain. Overall a good room and a really low price. I’d recommend it for those traveling in groups of 1-2 who don’t need amenities.
