Beautiful Ocean View with Balcony Right Next to Beach

Upon arriving we had a 1/2 hour wait as our door wouldn’t work with our keys as the door had to be reprogrammed. Then we had many ants which they had to spray our place. We couldn’t open the balcony door as the door hinges were broke so maintenance had to replace the hinges. Our door once again wouldn’t let us in as they batteries died so we had to wait again for entrance into our place for them to fix the door. WiFi would not work as many of the TV channels and was extremely clichy The place next door was extremely loud and noisy throughout the night. The smell of cigarette smoke was awful in our place as our neighbors were smokers causes it to leave a awful smell and there was a no smoking policy which wasn’t being followed. The cholorine smell was so over powering from the pool as it was right in the entrance. Our pull out couch would not close causing us once again to call maintenance. The springs were coming out of the mattress making it unusable to use as another bed. Our bedroom lamps were broke the shapes torn and falling. The kitchen was not fully equipped. Not enough silverware and not linens to dry our dishes with which we were told we would have. We would not stay here again in the future. For the price we paid we shouldn’t of had this many issues especially for a vacation. For everything we did go through and the many calls we put into the front desk they were courteous and helpful

We enjoyed out stay. The view alone was perfect. Can fully see the ocean right over Watermans since it is 8th floor. Room was nice and we were able to use the kitchenette for all of our breakfasts and lunches. Area is at the end of the south side of Virginia Beach so the beach was not too crowded. Building seemed safe with plenty of hand sanitizers and the staff wore masks. Thanks!

The place was reasonable with a great oceanfront view. Our only complaint wasn't with the room but with Ocean Key Resort. Our room was not clean when we arrived although Ocean Key Resort said it was. My 3 year old son found an empty Crush soda can under the bed, raisins on the floor (which meant it wasn't swept prior to our arrival) and dirt/dust in the bathroom. Another annoyance with Ocean Key Resort is we placed our sandals outside of our door as respect for the owners. Someone threw away or stole our sandals.
