Stayed Apr 4, 2025booked 2 months in advance, only to be told by facility while I was checking in that they no longer honor the host’s reservations as it is a time share and it’s against policy. I called up the host and was told I would see a refund and get a call back. Neither had happened.

Stayed Mar 21, 2025The property of Ocean Sands is fine. Nice place. I’ve stayed here before. Unfortunately, this trip I booked through VRBO and owner of the unit Peter. After driving several hours I get there only to find that the resort no longer recognize reservations made through Peter and is fully booked. I won’t get into the reasons but Ocean Sands is NOT at fault. At first Peter is angry when I call to relate I’m stranded with no place to stay and was apologetic. After calling around, Peter is unable to obtain us lodging. Ocean Sands also called around to try and find availability. Peter did refund our money but our planned for weekend getaway was ruined. This whole incident was avoidable by the owner Peter. Beware before you book through this owner.

Stayed Nov 14, 2024This was the perfect spot to relax and hardly have to leave for food or drink with an on site restaurant. No breakfast but it is just across the street and excellent food!

Stayed Nov 6, 2024This is resort that has been sold as timeshares. It is showing it's age. The place is kept clean. There was no reservation made at the resort for our stay. The owner didn't let the property know we where coming. We had printed out the email sent out by the owner and where able to check in using that. In the description of the rental it says smoking is okay on the balcony that is not the case.the bed was not very comfortable. We will look for some place else next time we go to Virginia Beach

Stayed Oct 21, 2024The owner of the property did not do their job and notify the resort that we were coming. We waited 45 minutes to check in. Called Property owner twice (voice mailbox full) and texted him four times. We never got a reply. Daniel, who worked the front desk, finally got authorization from the GM to put us in a unit. Daniel was great. My wife was not happy and neither was I. If you rent property there from Owner, Peter, Beware.

Stayed Sep 29, 2024The furniture was scuffed. Pots and pan, silverware in very poor condition. The carpet is dirty and the kitchen sink faucet is leaking.

Stayed Aug 29, 2024Everything was good and as expected. The mattress on the queen bed and pull out need replaced badly. Probably the worst I’ve ever slept on anywhere. The floors were dirty. Had to keep shoes on the whole time. Otherwise, all was well! I would rebook if the mattresses are replaced.

Stayed Jul 28, 2024The place was exactly what we needed and perfectly placed on the strip. We had a very nice stay and we really recommend it. *If you count on the hide-a-bed, make sure its for a little kid. Matress is very uncomfy

Stayed Jul 4, 2024Communication was terrible. Had to be moved to non ocean front, not even beach front, to a completely different facility because of over booking. (Booked 8 months prior) Was supposed to be credited $150 for that and all the trouble and have yet to see it.

Stayed Jun 11, 2024The building is older, but our unit was very clean and comfortable. The building has a nice pool and free laundry. The location was top tier, with a balcony looking out on the boardwalk and beach.
