For added comfort, extra pillows and blankets are stored in the closet within easy reach. A desk, ample closet space with hangers, a dresser, and a 42-inch smart TV complete the room. There is so much to enjoy in the neighborhood. Start your day on Magazine Street with coffee and pastries at PJ’s Coffee or District Donut and Coffee Bar. After breakfast, stroll Magazine’s shops and browse Joseph Boutique, Azby’s, Pied Nu for clothing, or Jean Therapy for denim. For luxury gifts and home goods, Hazelnut, owned by Bryan Batt of Mad Men fame, is a favorite stop. For lunch, Whole Foods in Arabella Station, a historic former streetcar carbarn, offers prepared foods and outdoor seating.

After lunch, treat yourself to a massage or facial at Earthsavers while you stock up on skincare. Both Sage Hair Collective and Paris Parker Salon & Spa offer hair and beauty services nearby, or you can shop Bluemercury for luxury makeup and cosmetics. Men can step back in time at Bad Habit Barbershop, which offers classic cuts, hot shaves, and beard trims in a stylish setting. If you are in a more literary state of mind, browse Octavia Books, one of New Orleans’ premier independent bookstores.

Enjoy a fantastic dinner at one of the restaurants in close walking distance. Saba features Middle Eastern cuisine and is owned by Alon Shaya, a James Beard Award-winning chef. Other nearby favorites include La Crèpe Nanou, a romantic neighborhood French bistro and crêperie, and Bistro Daisy, which features New American cuisine with French influences.

After dinner, you can end the night at St. Joe’s Bar where you can easily walk home. Monkey Hill Bar is also within walking distance, or you may decide to venture beyond the neighborhood to Maple Street, Tipitina’s, or Frenchmen for live music and dancing. I’ve stayed at a dozen VRBO’s & am a landlord on that site also. This host was better than any other. She removed & replaced the outdoor cushions in the beautiful private garden area when it rained. Tried to fix the Firepit on the weekend. My wife’s very picky about products and complimented her stocking the rental with top quality expensive toiletries including new toothbrushes and paste. I noticed the dozen new plush towels Basically you feel like you’re in a hotel, not a VRBO. I’d give her 6 stars if I could!;)

The host is absolutely fabulous. Detailsed information was provided and made check and utilizing the unit is so easy. The unit has everything you needs and things you didn’t know you needed until you did. The location is so great. The neighborhood is so beautiful and so close Magazine Street with its coffee shops and shopping. Whole Foods is at the end of the block. The only feedback I have is the headboard on the bed needs to be updated so you can lean on it so you have a comfortable place to sit since there isn’t a couch. A minor point compared to all of the great features of this property.

We spent five nights here. Alladin was the most communicative and responsive host we have ever had. The unit is upstairs which will limit some people. But it is QUIET, in a great neighborhood and has everything you will need.

There were plenty of things to do nearby and in walking distance. The street car was within walking distance and was very affordable, much cheaper then driving and paying for parking. Overall our stay and accommodations were wonderful

This home is an oasis in a busy city. It was far enough away from Bourbon street that we enjoyed peaceful evenings, and convieniently located near multiple modes of transportation, including the 12 trolley line that goes to the heart of the French Quarter. It was clean, the hosts were incredibly kind and generous, and was an ideal vacation rental. If i come back to NOLA, I would definitely want to stay here again

From the beginning to end of our stay our experience was great. Finding the property, parking and obtaining the key all went smoothly. We were able to get settled in quickly and relax. The location allowed us to walk to several yummy restaurants and shops (even in the August heat). While there is a Whole Foods very close we enjoyed Langenstein’s Grocery Store a few blocks further that had everything we needed including some fabulous prepared foods. Aladdin was very attentive and prompt in his communications. The property is wonderfully New Orleans, extremely charming. I loved the history of the architecture. We were very comfortable and had everything that we needed. Staying here made dropping our son off for his first year at Loyola so much easier.

Property is in a fantastic location - easy walk to Audubon and Magazine St.. Area is a beautiful, quiet and safe residential neighborhood providing an authentic New Orleans experience. Although the unit is attached to main residence, the set-up allows for maximum privacy. We actually never saw or heard the homeowners. The garden patio is a lovely, quiet space that is well appointed with comfortable seating - very clean - well organized - If weather cooperates a great place for R&R after long walks. The hosts were very attentive to details and communicated via text making sure all questions answered and information shared about the apartment amenities. We appreciated the owners hospitality - fresh flowers on the dining table and kitchen well stocked with essential staples, coffee maker, dishes etc.Hosts provided bath soaps and lotions - in case toiletries left at home. Did not use - but nice to know available. We would definitely stay at this quiet, very clean and well organized location again. Highly recommend!Thank you Aladdin and Anne

This was the perfect place to lay our head while my partner and I traveled to New Orleans for a wedding. Great neighborhood. As someone who grew up there, staying in the heart of Uptown New Orleans is always beautiful. The host was communicative and helpful. Really well suited for a solo traveler or couple. Thank you for the lovely stay!
