Stayed Feb 19, 2025Rosie was wonderful - everything from helping us with air travel to dining. The Sugar Apple is in a perfect location, close to the beach and easy to access all of the amenities the island has to offer. She was there to meet us when we arrived and even took us to the ferry when we left. Sugar Apple is a quiet oasis surrounded by beautiful gardens. Her dog and cat are a plus - not to mention the purple golf cart!

Stayed Jan 13, 2025The back garden was pretty. Rosita gave us some native fruit, supplied the heavy 5 gallon jugs of drinking water.Do not go here if you are gay as she is homophobic, & a Christian zealot.Harbor Island has a bad air pollution problem d/t all the gas powered golf carts. There are plenty of cars too.The beach & water were pretty. It is being developed to death.

Stayed Apr 19, 2023Getting to Harbour Island is an adventure but well worth it for the amazing beaches, shops, restaurants and people you find. We were there for a wedding but stayed extra days to take advantage of this paradise. We stayed at Sugar Apple and our host was was Rosita (Rosie). Can't imagine enjoying our visit more had it not been for the kindness and hospitality shown by Rosie. The property has a super location especially close to one of the public access beaches that is hardly used - Rosie provided beach chairs, an umbrella and towels. We had a 2nd floor one-bedroom apartment that also had a private balcony with lounge chairs - wonderful spot to relax. Rosie was a font of information and could direct us to places to eat (go to Ma Ruby's on a Friday night for music), grocery shop (Piggly-Wiggly) and the best bakery (Arthur's) that also serves a delicious breakfast. And let Rosie advise you on golf cart rental. Sugar Apple was a sweet place to retreat to and Rosie made our visit truly perfect.
