Studio Guest house on a 1.5 acre fenced property

It was as the hotplate worked. It was just a little on the slow side. We got along great.

While still a work in progress on the property, it met all our needs. Would stay again. Easy to work with owners! Great price.

A wonderful, convenient location. Adequate for what we needed and very hospitable host. Nice pool and sunning area that was a quiet spot for reading but too chilly to enjoy the water on this trip! Kitchen has everything we needed and the bed was comfy. We also were able to enjoy fruit off the grapefruit tree. Gated entry to the property.

Perfect simple place for a home base to use while hiking day trips in the Superstition range.

Steve & Suki have a wonderful little studio cottage! Bed was comfortable, bathroom had a roomy shower and kitchen was well stocked. Property is very secure behind a automatic gate. You can step outside and pick fresh oranges & grapefruits for breakfast and listen to the doves in the mornings! Definitely would stay again

Such a great little place — quiet, secure, and cozy. I enjoyed that the kitchenette was stocked with dishes, cookware, coffee marker, full sized fridge/freezer. The hosts are working on some upgrades to the electric I believe, and being able to run multiple appliances at the same time will be an improvement. There’s a two-in-one washer/dryer in the bathroom which was very nice so that I could easily travel back with clean laundry at the end of the trip. Pool does not have a heater, and was quite cold, so I didn’t really get to use it, unfortunately, but the area was cute and nice for enjoying coffee or a glass of wine by. The location is convenient for picking up groceries and easily commuting into Phoenix, but the property itself is shared with the main house that is very close by. I did notice there are security cameras, pointed at the casita and pool, and I really think that could be disclosed on the listing and at check-I for the sake of transparency. All in all, great stay, value and no issues. Would rent again!

My own pool-what more can you ask for? The casita was a normal studio size so perfect for one -maybe two. Bed (queen) very comfy. Needed to ask for a few things but they were right back with them-I kinda want what I want, you know? Steve and Suki great hosts-never bothered me. Kitchen sufficient with no real Stove/oven but a tabletop oven and two burner hot plate. All I needed as I wanted to eat out and just make soup or grill cheese or sandwich when home. Can’t wait to rent it again next year. Oh and a yummy grapefruit tree. Gated and felt safe but it’s on a dark street bit like I said; security gate. Owners not on property; just down block.

Very quiet neighborhood,.the pool was great and close to the mountains and water park.

Host was welcoming. Location was great and pretty quiet with roosters crowing in the back ground. Pool was ice cold, for summer use only, but it was great to sit by the pool and have your favorite beverage. Felt a little uncomfortable knowing the owners home is 20 feet from you. The yard needs some attention, looks nothing like the pictures. If you like a very firm bed then this is the place to stay. Overall its was better than staying in a hotel.

Host was nice, place was clean but bed was hard and pillows old and uncomfortable.

I had a great stay. The place was super cozy and the hosts were amazing!! Big electronic gate in the front of the house that made you feel safe as well. Highly recommend if your looking for a place to stay in the area!!

The hosts Steve & Suki are very accommodating. Unfortunately, the hot water heater went out on my day of arrival. I was able to shower in the main houe and was also refunded a portion of my fee's for the incovience. I highly recommend the vrbo and will return if the need arrises.

Small cabin like house, bed was not super. Nice to have a place to go, however after caring for my sister all day.

Clean little house, fine for one person, or a couple. Bed was so-so, location very convenient. Very nice to have a place to go to rest after long days of visiting and caring for my sister.

This setting is working well as family members come in to support our family member who is battling cancer. Quite likely to continue into September if that works for you.

The cottage at this property is very nice. The overall property is a work in progress though. We wish Suki & Steve well as they refurbish this little AZ oasis. Our friend was concerned about the neighborhood, but we felt safe as the property has a security fence and gate. Lovely redo on the cottage!!! Good communication but initial get into was a little slow---all good once we did connect!! Highly recommend if you need to be in Apache Junction.

We really enjoyed the privacy and location of this property. It was very clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable (I'm over 6 ft). The outside porch was awesome. This building is part of a larger lot with another house on it. The property is very secure. There is a partial view of Usery and Superstition mountains. We will stay here again for sure.WWeand

First time using VRBO. So little confusion with email communication but finally found the place. Loved the fact it was gated and felt safe. Plenty of room for the two of us. Glad it had air conditioning. Landlord was very nice and helpful. It was clean and comfortable

When we arrived at the property Steve let me into the house and told me that he and Suki were no longer living on the property which would have been nice to know before we got there. Steve brought me into the house and also told me that the previous renter broke the washer/dryer so I could use the washer in their house, if needed. We actually packed light because we were told there was a washer and dryer in the unit.We actually saw, who we thought was Steve the next morning and after that never saw him again. I had to clean the microwave so we could use it. I used a brush we found on the property to sweep off the patio so we could set up the patio furniture to use on nice evenings. Also, cob webs in some of the corners.The yard was filled with trash of many, many plant containers, ladder, hoses laying in the driveway, etc. Quite the eyesore. It could be a beautiful property if someone cleaned up the yard and trimmed the trees.

The property was very convenient for visiting family and attending Spring Training. Steve was good enough to do some laundry when the machine was not working. The grounds could be refreshed and the carpet could be cleaned.

Had the run of this property to ourselves. Perfect for coffee and breakfast on the patio. Centrally located; Canyon Lake, Tortilla Flat, and the Superstition Mtns all close by. Central to Apache Junction: all stores, restaurants, event locales easily within 2 miles. Dozens of birds on the property; even cottontail rabbits. Very relaxing, quiet. We would readily stay here again. ( You need to be content with the small size of the unit. We were!)

It was good . Just right for one or two people

Hosts and the cottage were awesome it was much nicer than I expecting from what the pictured showed online. Steve was very pleasant to talk with and gave us a lot of information how they do things and what they are working on for the future! Overall stay was great, and I would recommend their place to anyone that wants a secure and quit place to stay at a reasonable cost.

Relaxing

This was a great private location. We particularly appreciated how quiet it was. Steve responded quickly when he was contacted. Everything that we needed for our stay day in January was there. We would consider staying again.

A good stay

Was perfect for two people. Loved that it was gated. There was water and coffee to get started. Wish there was more hangers in the closet since the space was so limited.

It has a comfortable bed and the shower was hot with good pressure. We were in the area visiting family and that’s really all we needed. The grounds could use a little sprucing up.

We had a great and relaxing stay at this location. We definitely felt safe
