Great place for families. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels and a well-equipped kitchen.

Everything was perfect and comfortable

We stayed the weekend after Thanksgiving 2025 (sorry for the late review). Good location that's easy to get to the ocean, Seaside and Astoria. Spacious house with multiple beds/bedrooms and bathrooms. The upstairs sleeping area/family room would be good for people with kids as they'd have an out of the way place to play. The view of the lake is nice. The kitchen is pretty well stocked. The only issue was that there weren't enough of some dishes available (ie. dinner plates, coffee cups) for the group size we had - we were supposed to have 9 people but only had 7 and were still short. We had paper plates with us and ate out the second night so it wasn't a big deal. Would definitely stay again.

Very comfortable, relaxed style with everything you may need for a weekend trip. We really enjoyed staying here and will come back.

The house was exactly as featured. The owners are very responsive. It took us a few tries to operate the digital door lock (my own fault). They were diligent in checking on us, which is a level of attention we really appreciate. We had plenty of room, the kitchen was fully stocked. The view was amazing and we loved having a nice couch and seating to all gather comfortably. The beds were superb and the pillows probably better that ours at home! Just down the street, there is a wonderful coffee shop/bakery. It is just a third of a mile walk; the owner/staff are wonderful. We went there every one of the four mornings we stayed at the house.

Above description says it all—Lakefront, close to Sunset Beach, Quiet. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, dishes, placemats, etc. We enjoyed the fire pit, and the sleeping worked well for us-6 adults. (We did not use the extra room.) it was a pleasure to meet Lorrie. We would have preferred a 3:00 pm check-in to the 4:00 pm, but that was minor. Thank you, Lorrie and John

We were there for a short weekend trip for a wedding in Astoria. The location was great, close to Costco, Fred Meyers and not far from Astoria. The house was perfect for four couples and was very clean. There is a really good coffee shop a block away that makes for a nice morning stroll to get yummy coffee.

We loved our time here and hope to come back again soon! Thank you for sharing GG's Lakehouse with us!

Overall the property was simple and as expected. It had what we needed, easy to access and clean. The property does allow pets, and did have a slight odor.

We had a great time staying at GG's lake house. The location is wonderful, it’s close to the beach, to downtown Seaside and other amenities. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed for our family. We will be booking again.

We had a great time here. The kiddos enjoyed the tire swing and jumping off the dock. (water very cold) Kept meaning to have s'mores with the help of the fire pit. Next time! Beach was just a few minutes away. We were able to have girl grands sleep upstairs and boy grands downstairs with adults on each floor. Worked out really well. Thanks for a wonderful time.

This place was just as it was described. It was beautiful and peaceful. Water front property. Beach is down the street. It was in a perfect location for us. Right between Astoria and Cannon Beach. We will be back.

The home is exaclty what it claims to be. We had a wonderful stay and our interaction with the owners was pleasant. Perfect location to enjoy the coast without being right on the beach.

If you enjoy watching birds - this is a gem. Easily saw 15 species without really working at it. Very clean property - with lots of room in the house for a big family (we only used 1/4 of the bedrooms).

This was our second time at this property and we were quickly reminded why we came back. It’s incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The proximity is close to everything but also secluded and private. The kids played outside for hours at a time and enjoyed watching the bald eagle fly around the lake, sea otters swimming around, birds, elk, deer, and even a few bunnies. This place is a perfect retreat and we can’t wait to come again.

We stayed at the lake house for a week. The first couple days were absolutely amazing. Then host friend who was staying at their other house decided to show up and harass my husband and nephew for fishing off the docks(which nowhere in the rules does it say you can't fish from the docks.) After clearing things up with host, my husband went to fish off the public dock by the house and once again the host friend continued to harass my husband and come to our car to do so. Then while we were staying there we had a family emergency and I had to go to the hospital with my mother. During that time the host friend came down a fourth time at the point and was once again harassing my husband about fishing from the bank this time. I then contacted the host for a third time and was pretty much told to just ignore her. Mind you at the point she had been rude, asking how long we were staying and just making us feel uncomfortable. Then host also continued to tell us that their friend just doesn't like children and maybe that's the reason she was harassing us. Then over a week later we received a payment request because it took housekeeping twice the time to clean the house even though we had washed all towels, washcloths and some of the bedding, washed all the dishes, took out all the trash and recycling, even swept and vacuumed. Overall I would never stay at the house again and if you feel like being harassed after spending a significant amount of money. Then this is the perfect place.

We loved our stay at John and Lorrie's! The home was very clean. John was responsive and available after we checked in when we had a few questions about kitchen supplies and the stove which was helpful. I appreciate that they lent us some roasting pans for our first dinner! We loved being right on the lake and saw some bald eagles and blue herons. We were able to walk or drive to the beach and it was great bring so close to Astoria which we visited twice. We'd love to stay here again!

Each stay at GG’s proves to be just as fantastic as the last. Thank you J&L Morris for allowing our family to enjoy this home away from home again. It’s a great place to relax, take “adventure” walks, enjoy the beach and peacefully canoe on the lake.

This was our 3rd year staying here and it just doesn't get any better. This property is exactly what we enjoy every year. It's quiet, off the main roads, close to the ocean and fits the 5 of us perfect with everyone having their own space.Another year in the books and looking forward to year 4!

The home is spacious, clean and has many sleeping area's. It is close to town but very quiet. The lake view is very beautiful and peaceful.

Nice big house across from a small lake and near a golf course and the beach! It was so perfect that the teenagers each had their own space to stay upstairs where I didn't have to see their mess. Everything held up well, even through a wind storm!I'm down in Oregon and my sister and family live up in Washington. This was a fun place to meet in the middle. We brought a Christmas tree and played games at a table big enough for all 6 of us. We watched Goonies and the Astoria episode of Ghost Adventures to connect with our ghost tour and walk around Astoria. Lots of great food options and a FUN zipline experience just a short drive away.

This four bed house was for my overflow family visiting for the Thanksgiving holiday. Close enough to walk to and still provide the extra space needed. It was everything I wanted. Thank you.

We had 5 adults and an 8-pound dog and found this house to be a perfect choice. (There is one more bed and a futon that wasn't noted in the listing.) The lake view is lovely, and the neighborhood very quiet. The fire pit out front is a great touch; we were sad that the weather didn't allow us to use it. The location is good, with easy access to groceries and surrounding cities. There is a bakery a few blocks away (6-minute walk) that is FABULOUS, with pastries, coffees, wine, sandwiches, etc. The manager had a substitute contact due to being out of town, and that person didn't respond to our query, not the manager's fault. We will definitely stay at this location when we go back to that part of the coast!

We have returned several times. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are very comfortable and it’s in such a peaceful setting.

The house was a great location with view of the lake and a short walk or drive to the beach. It had enough space for our three families with kids to spread out and still be able to gather around the large table and the living room. Kitchen was fully stocked and loved the washer and dryer too. We would love to come stay again!

Money cant buy happiness, but it can buy you a three night stay at this wonderful beach house with your closest friends! We made memories that will last a lifetime and we will be back again next year! The house is absolutely perfect, the lake was perfect for paddle boarding, we BBQd on the front porch, played volleyball in the sand, drove into town for shopping and dinner and truly had the best of time! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for the lovely stay! 10/10 recommend this home, location and host!

This was a sweet spot to get off the road for a couple of days. We enjoyed the “out of the way” location and the quiet evenings unwinding from our travels. This home had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Would recommend.
