Potter County Gasthaus - Full Lodge for Rent

It is a very unique country living experience. Open view and the scenery are beautiful. If you are looking for quiet place to escape city life otherwise it is far from everywhere. Going to grocery shop at least 40 min away. Other than that it is a comfortable place to stay and have everything you need. So if you prepare your trip in advance. Then it should not be a problem for this location. We enjoy our stay in general.

We stayed at the property for the cherry spring state park tour. It’s perfect for a big group with so much space. It’s very well decorated and equipped with cooking gears. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, especially the master room on the first floor. The grill is great for a group bbq.

Everything went well for another family holiday.

The Gasthaus was amazing. Our host was kind, friendly, and made our stay exceptional! Lots of space to hike, roam, and explore. The home was well stocked with everything we needed. Loved the warm afternoons and the cool nights!We hope to return in the fall next year!

We had a great stay! Loved the fall decorations and attention to detail. The place has a great wraparound porch that is perfect for sitting outside and enjoying the scenery. There were full amenities including towels, iron and ironing board, and kitchen ware. Hosts were really responsive to questions. Really cannot say enough great things about the property and hosts.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cabin was well equipped and beautifully decorated. Sky was awesome at night.

Very nice facility with rustic charm and modern amenities! Very accommodating hosts, and the house was well set up and well furnished. Would love to visit again!

This was our 2nd year and we plan to make it an annual event. That's a proper testament to how we all feel.

great place

Three generations converged on the property to celebrate family and birthdays. The Gasthaus was very clean and had a well-equipped kitchen. The property was great for walks, hikes, and places for the grandkids to run around. Roasting marshmallows over the firepit created and brought back memories. The soaking tub in the Master was great for grandkids' bubble baths and grandma's indulgent soak. The only downside was intermittent water pressure in the upstairs bathroom. The washer and dryer were beneficial when one suitcase did not make it off the plane! Communication with the owners was prompt. They even came to the lodge to let us know the Northern Lights were visible!

We really enjoyed our stay, the house was very clean and well appointed. We did a lot of cooking and had everything we needed. We elected to stay at the house and stargaze and it was perfect could see the milky way and lots of constellations. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay was amazing. The cabin itself was clean and spacious. It easily slept 10-12 people. The hosts were extremely friendly and hospitable. We will be returning at some point when the weather is clear.

We stayed here 2 different times now and love this place. It’s cozy and lots of room. The outdoor wrap around porch is a bonus. Very comfortable and the owners are amazing, making sure our stay was perfect.

Had a really great time at another area property last year, but Gasthaus is the winner. A 3 night stay was not enough time to enjoy all that is available. I have been petitioned by the entire family to book a full week next year. Steve and Ellie are great to work with! Ed C.

This our second stay at Gasthaus. We had a tremendous time with the family. We even caught a break and had a clear night and stargazing which was Tremendous! Steve the host is a sweetheart. Will definitely be back!Total Blessings!

We had a wonderful time! The lodge is fantastic! We enjoyed star gazing, walking the property (My sister and I hiked to the top of the hill, walked the treeline to the teepee and nade it safely back to the bottom...71 and 67 years young.). The ponds were a joy to my grandchildren, the fishing in the area was the best...we even went to the mouth of the Allegheny! It was a very relaxing time. 10/10. Another refrigerator would have been a plus as we needed to keep food in coolers. Can't wait to come back! Thank you so much. It was very nice talking to Mr Wilson who has a memorial on the property for his grandson ?.He told us that part of the Gasthaus was the post office! Again, we really enjoyed ourselves ?
