Modern cottage with full kitchen & private patio. Close to great hiking trails!

Don’t let our first impression discourage you! The cottage was smaller than expected for 4 people full time and the bedroom had a funny smell. There is no door between the bedroom and rest of the space (just a curtain). Finally, it would have been difficult to watch TV from the couch (but who does that on vacation?). Overall it was very nice for just 2. Our mistake was trying to house 4 rather than just sleep 4. We loved the great kitchen supplies and lovely bathroom, adorable private patio, and the sweet and responsive host. We felt safe and secure, it was relatively quiet for a normal neighborhood, and once we got settled in, it was a really great stay! Pay close attention to the details in the listing because there are no misrepresentations! It’s a great little cottage!

We had a wonderful stay! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. The location was convenient and quiet, making it easy to relax. The host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay.

Well communication was horrible the digital lock batteries died and I couldn't get in the place and it was raining I had my 3 year old daughter and we were out in the rain messages the host multiple times even vrbo tried to contact host but couldn't get in contact with her. Called a locksmith to rekey door lock and I left the new key when I checked out. Also left the place cleanier than it was when I arrived.

This is a great little cottage that is well stocked and close to many things. I would recommend it and stay again.

A cute, cozy cottage in a lovely neighborhood of Oakland. The patio is quite pleasant for eating al fresco and the kitchen is well appointed.

Loved the location and the private patio.

This is a well equipped, conveniently located cottage with a lovely private patio. The cottage was clean, felt very safe, and the host was extremely helpful. As the photos show, the bed is in a small area surrounded by three touching walls. We ended up using the hideabed couch for one of us, since we often get up at night, and this worked.

It is a rear cottage. Great lighting. Felt total privacy and welcome.

Had a great weekend stay here! Great taste in housewares and such, makes such a difference when you’re away from home. Loved the back patio!

I live in the neighborhood and booked for a friend who was visiting a couple days. She reported that the bed and furniture were comfortable, the kitchen had everything she needed including good coffee and the private patio space was an extra plus. The host was friendly and attentive.

Our stay at the cottage was wonderful! Everything we needed was there and so easy to get to other parts of Oakland from the cottage. Host was very responsive and answered all our questions promptly. Just slightly awkward placement of the living room TV, but we didn’t end up using it anyway.
