Host was very accommodating and responsive with texts. For example, where to get a hearty breakfast. If I recall correctly, the listing does not state mini-frig which it has. This was nice to have, however, if I had known beforehand I would I brought in a take order to be placed in the frig. There were other amenities not listed, that were included, like the chocolates. These were much appreciated. I love chocolate! I would definitely stay again!!!!

We had an amazing stay at this waterfront guest house! The location is perfect—peaceful and the lake view is spectacular. If you can pull yourself away from the lake, the location is very close to the local restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable with its own private entrance, so it felt very tucked away and quiet. We both slept fantastic!The outdoor amenities really stole the show. We spent so much time on the covered dock and at the boat house bar, and having access to the kayaks and bikes was such a nice bonus for exploring the neighborhood. We spent our mornings drinking coffee with a view of the water and our evenings in the hot tub or enjoying the sunset over the lake.The hosts are truly fantastic people who have thought of everything. They were so welcoming and made sure we had a wonderful experience from start to finish. We are already planning our next trip back!

This is one of those rare places where everything is exactly as promised—and even better. The room was spotless, with a very comfortable bed and beautiful views. We especially enjoyed the hot tub tucked under the stairs, perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine.The highlight of our stay was the host—always respectful of our privacy, yet clearly nearby and readily available whenever we needed assistance or had questions.This is a highly recommended and reasonably priced property, and we would absolutely love to return in the future.

Every aspect of this experience was superior! The property is beautiful and owners have provided all amenities - plus some! There was even a bottle of wine awaiting us. The area is quiet and beautiful; the living space is charming and thoughtfully appointed. The owners were welcoming and flexible — more than generous. We loved staying here and would return in a heartbeat!

They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant. They had many snacks and drinks for us and would check periodically to see if we needed any . Definitely recommend this place for a relaxing getaway. We will definitely be going back

Had an amazing quick getaway with my lab and it was just what we needed! Fished from the dock all day and had a blast. Hosts were super sweet and generous. Easy parking and access to lake. Will be back again for sure.

The owners, Dennis and Jeannette, are hands-down the most hospitable hosts we’ve ever had—and we rent often! Booking, check in, and check out were very easy, and Jeanette communicated with us every step. The space was the perfect size for just the two of us, and exactly what we were looking for: a cozy, well-kept space that wasn’t an oversized house but still had everything we needed.The property is beautifully maintained, and the dock had plenty of space for our boat. Our golden retriever had the time of her life jumping off the dock, chasing sticks in the water, and getting some snuggles from the owners. We came looking for a peaceful, pet-friendly, boat-friendly getaway for our anniversary, and this place delivered in every way. We can’t wait to plan our next visit.

It is a beautiful, quiet, safe and very clean place to stay with a beautiful view of the lake. Exceeded our expectations in every way. The hosts are very welcoming and so happy we met them.

Very comfortable room comparable to a nice hotel room. It had many nice amenities, unfortunately our stay was to visit family who live near Lake Gaston so we didn’t have a to take advantage of all the offered amenities. We would definitely stay there again when in the area!

My sister and I enjoyed our stay. Jeanette and Dennis were sweet and accommodating. Their home is peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed the hot tub, floating in the lake and all the beautiful plants and flowers. We cant wait to return!

We have stayed at many Vrbo’s but this, by far, was the best! Our hosts were extremely gracious. We had a beautiful room with a gorgeous view. They told us to use their private hot tub and even took us out on the lake with their pontoon boat. We spent the first evening sitting on their porch and talking with them. Jeanette left us all sorts of treats in our room! Definitely a great place to stay and we will be back. Highly recommend you staying there!!!

Jeanette and Dennis are amazing hosts. Everything we could need and more was provided for us to make our anniversary weekend special and memorable. They made themselves available to us 24/7 and everything was better than advertised. Plenty of things to keep us buys(fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding) and relaxing on the dock and the hot tub.

I originally planned this short weekend stay for Valentine’s Day , but was unable to due to my partner having to work . I reached out to Jeanette to modify the booking and she was more than accommodating and happy to help . The property was beautiful ! She welcomed me and my dog warmly. The hot tub was just what we needed. I absolutely would love to return .

I can't say enough about Jeanette and her husband our hosts. They were so welcoming to us. We came in late and they were so accommodating they got the hot tub ready and left snacks for us and a couple bottles of wine. Fantastic people!

This stay was exactly what I needed. Quiet surroundings and a great view not to mention a great dock perfect for launching my heavy fishing kayak. The hosts were friendly and attentive to any needs I had and even some needs I didn’t know I had. I will be back for sure and recommend anyone reading this review to stay also! 5 stars!

I stayed at the property with my 8 year old daughter to enjoy the lake and visit family. The property is beautiful and we loved having access to all the amenities and the dock. More importantly, the hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome and special. My daughter loved it and is convinced the hosts are now family and can’t wait to come back without me. Great place and great people!!

The Toney Guest House was very nice - much nicer than even the photos show! The one bedroom and bath are fairly large, and are more like a studio apartment than just a bedroom. The hosts also allow for full use of their boathouse on the water, which has a partial kitchen and bar area overlooking their lake cove. There is also outdoor dining on their dock under an umbrella dining table. Their dock also allows for easy access and docking of your boat. There is a swim up ladder on the dock and reclining loungers that allow you to spend the whole day at the dock if desired. There is also a large outdoor dining table with umbrella right outside your bedroom, and a shared sun porch and hot tub. To top it all off, your hosts, Jeanette and Dennis Toney, are the nicest, most generous, helpful people that you will ever meet. They have already anticipated your every need, and provide complimentary snacks, drinks, and morning coffee as well. Their southern hospitality makes all of the difference. You’ll feel right at home here. If you book it, I don’t think you will leave dissatisfied at all. Instead, I am already planning my next trip back!
