We loved our room and The Grand Mansion. It was a beautiful old historic find for us. The hosts answered all of our needs. The Mansion was nicely decorated for the holidays and it was the perfect beginning to our Holiday Cruise.

Beautiful, spacious, and like stepping into another time. Perfectly located for the wedding we attended. We walked to the Strand, cathedral, even the beach! We had the Tropicana room on the top floor and it was a lot of fun! I read Wuthering Heights in the dormer window and down in the study on the first floor.

The entire mansion was charming. Our room was a very comfortable space.

House was great , emailed questions and got immediate response we ate out mostly but kitchen was very nice my son actually used it couple times to heat up food. Close to downtown and restaurants enjoyed our time will definitely use again on next cruise

Everything was great

Loved the character the mansion added to our stay. We spent a lot of time sitting by the window and enjoying the view, when we were not touring Galveston.

Checking in is a breeze and the room had everything I could want. The location is wonderful for walking to the Strand/downtown which I love because I didn't have to pay for parking. It is also a great location for riding my bike to all of my favorite restaurants and to the beach. Karin was an excellent hostess, available when I had a question and she even helped me find my bike helmet just before I checked out (Thank you so much!). I definitely want to come back for another stay!

Very atmospheric and quaint old lady of a property. Our host, Brian, was excellent; very attentive and approachable with good local tips on restaurants and suchlike.

Great location. Between the Strand and few other restaurants. Felt different staying in this old style charm mansion. Top floor room getting to be too many stairs for my age.

The only drawback was we did not realize that the garden suite was in the basement. It all turned out well and Brian was a great host. On the plus side the suite was very large.

Hosts were friendly and helpful, quick to respond to questions. Close to everything you could want in Galveston. The property and rooms were beautiful.

We loved the size and character of this mansion. The common areas were nice to interact with other guests and we loved the room. We would recommend staying here versus one of the hotels. It’s so much better!

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was awesome that we were able to bring our dog also. Great location- we loved being able to walk most places. Coffee shops, restaurants, shopping all within walking distance. Beautiful suite and very large which was nice since we stayed a week. We would love to stay again.

We loved the vibe of the house and of our room. The beds were great and the room was comfortable. The location is wonderful, either a short drive or a moderate walk to the Strand and other areas with good food and fun nightlife. We had one concern at check in, but were able to contact the property manager easily and the issue was resolved within 15 minutes. I plan to stay here again, especially if I travel solo since I felt extremely safe.

The place is very nice for an older mansion. The only downside really is all the stairs. They are a pain to get up and down with luggage. My wife was positive the place was haunted as the hairs on her arms stood on edge as soon as we arrived. Lots of bumps and creaks in the night. We were on the 3rd floor. We enjoyed our time even with the creepy feelings my wife had.

This is a well maintained historic mansion near the Strand. The property manager, Karin is charming, very easy to chat with and knowledgeable. The rooms are spacious and quiet with a nicely stocked shared kitchen.

Very enjoyable and laid back atmosphere. Our room was large room on third floor and we enjoyed the space but bringing luggage up and down stairs could be challenge for some.

Had trouble getting info from management to get checked in! Place is great. Very clean and comfortable in a nostalgic area.
