Great time on the Chesapeake Bay. The weather was great for getting outside, not too hot in September. Had a couple of nice sits by the water. Very peaceful and quiet.

The home and location were absolutely beautiful. Conveniently located about five minutes from the village of Gloucester with multiple shops and restaurants. The house was exceptionally clean and well maintained with a perfect location a stones throw from the river. The host and her husband were amazingly kind and sweet. They maintained good communication before our visit and during checking in to make sure we had everything we could want or need. They offered advice on where to see fireworks and different locations to check out. We would recommend this place for anyone visiting the area!

The host will be sure to meet and greet you when you arrive. My husband and I loved the guesthouse with its easy access to canoeing, kayaking, sitting on the balcony, and driving to Gloucester and nearby Matthew’s for dinner. Would definitely come again!

The owners are really terrific, taking care of any concerns, and the apartment has a lovely view of the bay and as well appointed and very comfortable.

Property and cottage were absolutely charming and impeccably clean. The view was spectacular and the location offered such a tranquil place to breathe! The location of the cottage offered many things to do in the surrounding area as well. The owners thought of everything that a traveler may need in the cottage. Anne was as charming as the cottage that she and her husband offer.!

This place was perfect for what I needed for this trip. I was visiting my elderly parents who are in hospice care and assisted living and the guest house provided the perfect retreat for me to unwind and recharge

Very nice property on the Chesapeake Bay. Detached one bedroom upstairs over owners garage. Owners house on property also. Owners were very helpful with lots of good information on things to do in the area. Water view with many beautiful trees. Very secluded on private lane.

Great place to stay and the owners were lovely! Our kids are 6 and 9 so it was fine to sleep 4. If they were older we would need more space. Loved using the canoe and kayaks! The dock was great to swim from when the tide was high. I’d recommend this place to a couple seeking a quiet spot!

My husband and I stayed in this charming apartment for 4 nights and couldn’t have been more pleased! The hosts were gracious and helpful. We told them that we were planning to visit Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown and Anne was kind enough to let me know the places to go see if it was too hot or raining. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and everything was very clean. Beautiful property. We would definitely stay there again!

There's a reason this is rated 10/10 with so many reviews! It's a beautiful home on the river and 10 minutes from town. It is quiet, peaceful, and has everything you need to enjoy your vacation.

The property was perfect! Easy to get to and not too far off the beaten path but far enough for solitude. The amenities were just what we needed. I was with my parents who are in their 80's and even though there are steps it was not too difficult for them to get up the stairs. Anne was a gracious hostess who greeted us when we arrived and made sure we had what we need. I highly recommend this property to anyone planning a visit to the Gloucester area.
