Berkshire Village Carriage House - Super Private!!

Host was very friendly and helpful. House was absolutely adorable and decorated well. Plenty of parking. Beautiful, well-maintained property. Great for hikes. Lovely fire pit area and lots of wood. Very convenient location to recreation in The Berkshires. I would stay here again.

Wonderful little cottage, well taken care of with beautiful woodwork inside. It was lovely and cozy, ideal for a couple to break away from the everyday ratrace. We arrived late at night and the snow around the cottage was not cleared away, so thankfully we had a 4x4 to get to the cottage. The walkways had a few inches of ice on it, so we slipped, sliced and fell a few times before we could get into cottage.

Loved everything about the property!! A microwave in the room would be great!

We loved the Carriage House. It is very pretty, very clean and had everything we needed. You could spend your day just exploring all the trails on this property. The 'glamping' area set up in the middle of the woods was so pretty as well as all the other special areas through out the property. The staff and owner were very friendly and helpful.

Very tasteful studio apartment type setting, in a nice secluded area not far from Pittsfield or Morth Adams. The mattress needs to be replaced, it’s very soft and sags in the middle. The reason I’ll never return is that someone who lives on the grounds took it upon themselves to move my motorcycle. They didn’t bother asking me, I would have gladly moved it as I was already awake since the landscaper started using a leaf blower at about 7am. If you know how to move an 800 lb. motorcycle, then you should also know not to put your hands on someone else’s bike.

Wish we could have checked in sooner, we would have enjoyed the outdoor features.

Very Quiet and private - I would stay again but would find out from owner how the lights, fans, TV etc operated . Not intuitive electrically. All in all very nice!

Very cute place! Clean and tidy with everything available. There were a few shops nearby. The host was available when needed.

Very cute, easy to access. I LOVED the window seats and the tall pines in the driveway. The Christmas light in the tree outside added some festive charm and was a great help coming back at night as to the location of the driveway. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again sometime!

This was a great little get away, spent time exploring the Berkshire, reading, and even exploring the property on their trails. Really help to recharge.

Beautiful “New England” layout and area!!!

The true measure of a successful vacation rental is the number of times the host had to be contacted due to problems. In this case, the answer was ZERO.The Carriage House was wonderfully appointed. It was bright and airy and seemed spacious despite it's relatively small area. Everything we needed was available. The views of the surrounding forest were excellent, especially while it was snowing. And we were only 20 minutes away from Notchview Nordic Ski Area; one of our favorite places for snowshoeing and cross country skiing.It is clear that a lot of thought and time was put into constructing and furnishing this lovely retreat.We were sad that we had only booked one night ... we will surely be back for a longer stay.For those reading this ... check out Common Table Restaurant. Excellent and creative food choices just a short drive away.

Just a beautiful, and very clean/organized place. With several teas/coffees & different brewing options/..dishes/pots/pans/mugs available. Many lighting options, as well as surround sound throughout the Carriage House. Expert carpentry, creative wood-work pieces, and nice tree paintings. Many clear hiking trails. It was a great place to stay. Planning on going again & again. Christopher is a wonderful host.

Christopher was a fantastic host! This little house just might be the cutest place we've ever stayed. It came with everything you'd possibly need for a fantastic vacation. For a couples getaway in a beautiful setting, you can't go wrong here!

This is a beautiful property and very well maintained. The property has top notch craftsmanship throughout and is very cozy. The location is very convenient for getting to Williamstown, Lennox, Pittsfield, etc. The property is private and we loved our stay here.

Our stay was absolutely perfect for a couple. The cottage was clean and adorable. Even though it’s a convenient location and it’s near the main property, you feel very secluded. The hosts were extremely communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. Everything was just as pictured. Thank you for the perfect stay.

The carriage house is very cute, but there was overwhelming smell of disinfectant, we tried opening a window and airing it iut hut it didnt help. the photos online of the driveway are confusing because what you see is not where guests should park. a picture of thrbguest parking would've been helpful. Also, if you plan to use the fire pit or sit outside bring your own chairs. what's there is broken and very dirty. But its a nice loaction beautiful grounds and near several sites we wanted to see.

What an ideal place to make home base for an extended weekend in the Berkshires with activities. Place is a gem in the woods but accessible to everything.

We loved walking the many paths on the property and admiring the wonders all along the way. Stone benches throughout invited us to sit and admire one of the gorgeous features of this 50 acre natural wonderland. The owner's love of his land is obvious throughout. We were also filled with wonder at the architectural details in the carriage house cottage where we stayed for three nights. To top this all off, we were lucky enough to encounter the owner on one of our walks. He was kind, attentive and gracious, so well suited to the house and property he has clearly devoted decades to perfecting. What a find! We will definitely be returning!

Wonderful, responsive host. When we noticed the Moka Pot missing, he brought his own for us to use. It's a studio apartment with lovely window seats and enough room for two of us to do yoga at the same time. The only recommendation I have is please install a screen door so the cool outside weather can circulate and we wouldn't need air conditioning during many of our July days.

Wonderful accommodations located on meticulously maintained grounds. Everything is high quality and thoughtfully planned. Location is far enough off main road to be calm and peaceful, but not too far to be inconvenient.

Stayed there in March - cozy and private. Was a perfect stay while visiting the area with my partner. Communication with host was excellent. Couldn't have been better!

I chose this property partly because of its close proximity to friends in Pittsfield, and I'm so glad we stayed here. The location was private and quiet. The living space was ideal for the two of us, with many options for just hanging out and relaxing - window seats, sofa, firepit just outside the door. Although we didn't take advantage of them, you can access great hiking trails right out the back door. Communication prior to the stay was responsive and friendly. Everything worked seamlessly.

We had a wonderful stay! We wanted a quiet spot as our 'home base' for a week of exploring the Berkshires; this was exactly what we were looking for. Spotless, cozy, and comfortable; very peaceful, yet just mins to major routes and downtown Pittsfield. Loved being able to step out the door and explore the trails; especially when several deer ran past us! Also had the pleasure of meeting Lasko--a very good boy ;-) We're already checking our calendars to plan a return trip...

We booked hoping for a quiet weekend in a private house. We ended up seeing the owners around the yard every day as we were not in a private house but an apartment above the garage. It was a nice little apartment though. We really liked it. But on our second night, they were playing loud music and using loud power tools in the garage untill late in the night. We had to call the owners at about 10:30pm and ask for quiet. They eventually turned off the music and left the garage. Other than not being quiet or private, the place was lovely.

Celebrate 34 anniversary great place. Better than a hotel. Love the place would stay again. Couldn’t figure out how to use Apple TV to watch Netflix. Just need a couple steak knives if you do take out or cook in. Had a great time. Thanks Ed

This beautiful carriage house is ingeniously designed with no wasted space. Surrounded by nature, it is totally private, yet it is two minutes from shops and restaurants. The window seats are sublime and the heated floors offered relief after afternoons spent hiking in the cold.

Great experience....very clean facility in excellent condition......except for driveway & sidewalk. Sheet of ice....yes there were unusual conditions this winter, but I would be concerned for any elderly or uncoordinated guests.

The property is private. It’s the back half of the main house garage but it is well appointed and decorated. All one room. Nice kitchen and bath. Great stereo and TV. It was cold and snowing so we do no explore the trails on the property.

Overall, our stay was great! My girlfriend and I made a quick decision to head up to the slopes to start the new year and found this perfect spot! Great area, 15 mins to multiple ski resorts, cleanly, easy access, had everything we needed. Will be back for sure!

A beautiful lodge nestled in the woods surrounded by an abundance of trails to hike.

This idyllic location in Berkshires is close to nearby Lenox, Stockbridge and Mount Greylock State Reservation. One thing to note is that the mountain road is closed from November 1st even on weekends so access to the summit is only possible by hiking and many of the local trails start higher up along that road. We tried to do the Mount Williams trail, which was designated as an easy hike... however due to the gate being closed it was harder than we anticipated. The area however is gorgeous and we found some cool shops and GREAT food. The cabin was so quiet and beautiful everything you could possibly need. Loved our little getaway and will definitely come back when the road isn't closed to check out more mountains. Olivia's Overlook was a lovely place for some pics. Museum Outlets in Pittsfield had some of the best and unique gifts! Fun, fun place and Pizzeria Boema had the absolute BEST wood fired pizza my husband and I ever had. Would LOVE to return to this perfectly situated, cozy and welcoming cottage for another trip to see more of the Berkshires in the future.

We enjoyed my birthday getaway at this cozy retreat! Lots of little towns to visit and places to eat. The carriage house was very clean and located in a very quiet area. Our only suggestion would be to have written instructions on how to run the heater unit. It’s a great place to stay!

The cottage is amazing. We were thrilled by how clean it was. It was very cozy and comforting to stay inside. The surrounding area and property are made to be enjoyed through nature (check out Mount Greylock if you go). Lots of hiking trails and easy walks. You can have a fire right outside, and they even set up a fire for us! This is one of the best, if not the best, stays I have had. You will not be disappointed. Also Lasco was very nice and sweet. Gave us a tour on the trails. We hope to see him again.

The room was beautiful. A lot of thought was put into what you would need during your stay. The location was convenient to a lot of sights, biking and restaurants. I would definitely stay again.

My wife and I were in town for a wedding and decided to make a weekend out of it. This carriage house was everything we could've hoped for and more! It had everything we needed (kitchen, dishwasher, coffeemaker, full bathroom, TV, etc.) as well as a great decor that reflected a Berkshires getaway. The space was clean, organized, and easy to use. Christopher was extremely responsive, immediately addressed all our questions, and even offered to ship me back my Hydro Flask water canteen that I accidentally left in the fridge!

Enjoyed the beautiful, private location. Place was super clean and had everything we needed. We were very comfortable!

Overall, our stay was pleasant. We have lots of experience staying at houses. We think a note to future guest include the location of bed. Some guests may not be able to negotiate the tight space. At some houses, a laminated guest information and instruction booklet is on site in order to get the guest familiar with any rules, or directions on how to make stay easier.
