Built in the 1920s, the Sanctuary Farm House is a gorgeous five-bedroom lodge with sweeping views of Lake Naivasha and the private wildlife conservancy at Sanctuary Farm. Designed for families and groups, it combines rustic charm with space to gather. A large kitchen, dining area, and lounge open onto a verandah perfect for sunsets, while wildlife grazes nearby. The property offers comfort and connection to nature in a unique conservancy setting.

We are a family-run conservancy and live on the farm, so one of us will always be around to help out. We share our phone number during check-in, and guests are welcome to call or send a message at any point of their stay with us.

Sanctuary Farm is located on the shores of Lake Naivasha, in the heart of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. Guests can explore:
Lake Naivasha — enjoy boat rides, birdwatching, and hippo sightings just minutes away
Sanctuary Farm Conservancy — zebras, giraffes, antelope, and more roam freely across 450 acres
Kijiko Restaurant — our on-site farm-to-table dining experience, serving fresh, seasonal meals made from locally sourced ingredients
Nearby activities — horseback safaris, night game drives, cycling, and more, all available to book at Sanctuary Farm
Hell’s Gate National Park (5-minute drive) — dramatic cliffs, gorges, hot springs, and cycling among wildlife
️ Crescent Island (5-minute boat ride) — a walking safari where you can stroll alongside giraffes and gazelles
Mount Longonot (30-minute drive) — hike an extinct volcano with panoramic Rift Valley views

Guests enjoy full access to:
The entire House
The 450-acre private wildlife conservancy (daytime only; no walking at night due to hippos)
Lake Naivasha’s shoreline, just a 5-minute walk away with boat rides available

5 bedrooms, sleeping 8–10 guests
3 bathrooms
Fully equipped kitchen and dining room with fireplace
Spacious lounge and dining table opening to verandah

The easiest way to reach Sanctuary Farm House is by car. Taxis and boda bodas (motorbike taxis) are available locally for shorter trips, but we recommend private transport for comfort and convenience.

By Booking our accommodations you automatically get free access to our 400 acre wildlife conservancy. (usually1000 KES per person)

Please note that this is a family-run farm, not a hotel; we ask you to treat the house and grounds with respect.

Loved the place - the three of us has a very relaxed time in the wonderful environment. Thank you. I will return with my other daughter and her husband in late May!! Shower heads need a clean and restaurant ribs were lacking any meat so I sent them back. Riding excellent. See you later in the year

We had a great stay in The Farmhouse. Ideally located just next to the lake and 10 mn drive from Hell's gate, the house is beautifully decorated and the surroundings is so peaceful. This is the place to go for nature locers

This was a very wonderful experience. From start to finish every need was met. The house was wonderful. Definitely gave an old Kenya experience. Loved all the animal visitors both domestic and wild. The night game drives were fun. Will definitely return hopefully next year.

We had a wonderful time at Sanctuary Farm in Kenya. We are from the United States and our Kenyan friends joined us for 3 days in the beautiful Farm House. It was such a delight to wake up each morning seeing zebras and wildebeests right outside your house. We also took a boat ride to see the hippos and giraffe on Crescent Island. So many exotic birds, impalas and other deer. The house was spacious and clean and the beds are comfy. The staff is very friendly and accommodating to our needs. The only downside was the price of the food in the restaurant compared to the quality. We did not feel it was worth the cost. The remainder of our time, we fixed our own food. However, the amazing experience far, far outweighed the negative and I would say that spending time there was one of the best experiences we have had in Africa and we made wonderful memories with our friends, which will last a lifetime. Thank you so much.

We had such a wonderful stay at Sanctuary Farm, we all really enjoyed our time there. The activities were great and the vibe was absolutely amazing. What we felt could’ve been improved was the clarity of staff accommodation for our nannies. Maybe in an email during the booking process but we were happy to pay for the room that they stayed in but just have it clear in writing from the beginning would help budget wise for us. The waitresses and staff were very friendly and helpful at the restaurant and the food was very tasty.
