Family Farmhouse

It was great to return to this property! We’ve enjoyed staying here multiple times and each is as comfortable as the last. Situated in a cherry orchard, you are treated to country beauty that takes the cares of daily life away. In the evening, sitting on the covered porch, you are treated to a star-filled sky as big as you have ever seen. That never ceases to provide a feeling of calm.The proprietors of this comfortable home provide everything you need for a home away from home. The property is well maintained, comfortable, and clean. A clothes washer and dryer are at your fingertips. Kitchen dishes, dinner utensils and pots, and pans are all provided. The proprietors are very responsive and ready to assist with any concerns you may have. They are the kind of people who truly care about your comfort.We highly recommend that you consider this property when looking for a comfortable home in this area.

This property was peaceful and serene. The cleanliness was superior. Location was great.

House very nice and quietI did have a problem the back door I couldn't lock it some wrong with the lock and one of the patio chairs. The plastic one I set on it and it broke.

This is our second stay in this home. It is spotless, well equipped and in a quite area withine the cherry orchard. There is ample parking for our pickup and cargo trailer for the car show.We will continue to look for this home first when visiting The Dalles.Molly is a wonderful host!

Place was so amazing and had everything you could need and so very very quiet. Save money and feel like you are far away from everything, yet only 5 minutes into town and 20 minutes to hood river where everything else is twice as much. Loved the stay and will be back

Plenty of space for our gathering. Location was very relaxing. Met a horse and 2 kitties, (say hi to Fluffy McSoftPaws). Had all the necessary implements to handle Thanksgiving meal. Highly recommended

I booked this property well in advance of our arrival. The property was located slightly outside of The Dalles, Oregon. While only a short distance from the city center, the location was in a huge cherry orchard. The picking and packing had completed by the time we checked in. The setting was beautiful. While the processing plant was next door, it was idle and the area silent after what was likely a busy season. The cherry trees stretched “forever” and were all lined up in neat and straight rows. Picture perfect. The property was clean and comfortable. All home goods, such as coffee maker, microwave, tv, etc. were provided. Even coffee filters were made available. The refrigerator was spotless. Linens were clean and fresh. Bathrooms were clean and well lighted. The porches are covered and well maintained. Our hosts were down to earth people who genuinely cared about our comfort. While our direct interactions were limited, anything we asked about, or for, was immediately attended to. They made us feel very “welcome.” While we were in the property the weather was clear and warm. Sitting on the porch at night, the stars went on forever as the harvest moon shone brightly on the orchard trees. In the fast-paced world we live in, staying in the “farmhouse” allowed us to step back to a better time of quiet and simplicity for at least a few days. We send our sincere thanks to our gracious hosts.

Very clean nice home with all accommodations. Host was wondeful to work with. Great quite location. Worked well for us while in town to attend two local car shows. Will definitely look for this home first when staying in The Dalles again.

Fun stay among the cherry trees. Beautiful setting. Molly was helpful with tv situation. House was stocked and very comfortable. Will be back for another race!

Farmhouse in the middle of a cherry orchard. Birding galore. Proximate to town's amenities. Minutes to Columbia Gorge views and activities. Well-designed modern home really feels like home at the end of eventful days.
