Beautiful, Easy Access Farmhouse with attention to Detail and Spectacular Views

We decided to vacation in the NC mtns this year and wanted to stay in a house b/c of COVID. This farmhouse was the perfect place. The home was beautiful and comfortable and the views of the mtns and cows were spectacular. We had easy access to Nantahala Forest, Great Smokey Mtn Nat'l Park, Highlands and Asheville with only an hour of driving. Several restaurants were open with curbside or outdoor dining options. The house was family friendly with more than enough space for our group of 4. Margaret, the owner was lovely, helpful, and easy to work with. We all hope to return one day. It was truly a magical place.

First, we were welcomed with an absolutely stunning view, which is one of the reasons we booked this particular home. Another was the mid century modern design and decor, with a touch of modern upgrades. The fact that Margaret left so many personal items throughout the house made us feel as if her family was welcoming us for the holidays, giving us a cozy, peaceful feeling. Even though the kitchen is small, it afforded us plenty of space to make our Thanksgiving dinner and morning breakfast, so do not let that stop you from staying here. If you’re wondering where to stay, this is it! The amenities are top notch, close to town, easy to get to, meaning you do not need a AWD to get to it and beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Let the house speak for itself! You won’t regret it! Also to note, Margaret is a wonderful host and her attention to detail and readiness to help, if needed, was very much appreciated!

This is our 2nd year staying at The Farmhouse and we absolutely love everything about it! It’s comfortable, quiet, close to Franklin and day trip distance to Asheville and Gatlinburg. Margaret is great to work with and is always available for questions. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a great time and the house was excellent. It was a quiet location in the mountains of Western North Carolina (Franklin). The views were fantastic. We plan on returning to this location.

We loved this house! It was like a cozy haven away from our normal city life. We sat in the rockers on the front porch every evening and watched the lightning bugs and cows while the sun went down. The host was amazing and stayed on top of any questions we had. I could not recommend this house more. We will definitely stay there again.

This is our second time staying there and it was just AMAZING as the first time The house has breathtaking views. We loved everything about the house.

This beautiful red brick farmhouse, built in 1958, is completely furnished with a 1960's feel. Everything was clean and orderly and every convenience was provided. I've stayed in many VRBO rentals and this one was stocked with everything you could possibly need. The owner was very communicative, helpful and responsive. This is a great getaway in the NC mountains.

This was the perfect choice for our group - we're family, 56 to 63 yr old siblings and spouses. The location is a peaceful country scene - pastures and cows and songbirds, property faces the sunset - every evening started outside, soaking up the countryside and sitting around the fire. Franklin has a great grocery, so we had breakfast and dinner at the house and lunches on our travels. The house was spotless, with many touches from the host's family - it was charming, and homey, and reminiscent of the country life we grew up in - it was great!

We always enjoy our stay here. Its a lovely place. We love whating the cows and the sunset.

Loved the quiet countryside just less than 5 miles from town. Would love to stay again, only longer than just a week. So well equiped
