Wonderful property! Has everything you would want and more. The hosts go above and beyond to add little extra touches like s’mores stations, a well organized linen closet, and a kitchen stocked with essentials. Loved our stay!

We visited Blue Hill and Acadia with two families. We needed a place that was suitable for six kids and four adults. This place was far better than we could have even imagined. It was a clean and historical property that has been thoughtfully renovated. The grassy area in the front is perfect for yard games and relaxation. The owners were extremely thoughtful and considerate. They even prepared a fire and welcomed us with s'mores supplies and other local treats. We will be returning!

We had a beautiful vacation. The location was perfect for all the Maine tourist things we wanted to do. The home was beautiful and worked perfect to have a family reunion. The giuse was perfect for my husband and I and our 3 kids as well as a room for my parents. Everything was perfect, down to every added detail from the owners.

Great location for day trips in quaint town. A few suggestions: (1) better toilet paper, (2) don't advertise a hot tub if it does not exist, (3) 2nd floor bedroom may work for kids but not adults, (4) not a shower in all bedrooms. Overall it was wonderful and suggestions are intended to make it even better.

We really enjoyed our stay. Lots of character and nice details - like the stone rocks shaped like hearts around the small owl statue that greets you as you drive up. The kitchen was well-stocked with a nice arrange of condiments and utensils. We used the home as a base for exploring Acadia and it was great!

We loved staying at the Barn Owl in Blue Hill. The location was perfect - just off of Main Street with cute shops and restaurants, nearby grocery store, and easy access to many beautiful coastal spots in the Down East area. The house is incredibly well-maintained and comfortable. With four adults and three kids, we had plenty of space. The kitchen was well-stocked and organized, making family meals easy and pleasant to prepare. We hope to visit again in the future!
