Our 4th stay in this excellently presented tower. We were extremely comfortable as usual. Nicolas ensures superb cleanliness a credit to her. Thank you again to the owners who corresponded to queries regarding key codes etc.We would have no hesitation highly recommending this very special holiday venue

We spent Halloween 2024 at Whitehall Pele tower to celebrate our paranormal teams (S.P.I.R.I.T UK-Solway Paranormal) 10th anniversary. Every year we spend our anniversary night in an historically rich location and Whitehall, with its history and its mention in several local legends was perfect. Very spacious, modern, yet still holding onto its old world atmosphere. Its just a shame we only stayed for the one night as it would take several to take in everything this beautiful place has to offer. Would thoroughly recommend, especially if you love peace and quiet.

We had a wonderful stay at Whitehall Pele Tower. It felt like a real treat as the building has a stately feeling and the kids loved exploring the grounds. It was spacious enough to relax on a wet day and felt like a good base to head into the Lakes. The beds were comfortable and pleased to report they now have a king sized bed in the bedroom (there may also be a king sized in the other bedroom but I didn't sleep in there and can't remember!) The kitchen is well equipped and there were even bowls for the dog. The house was always warm and everything was very straight, tidy and clean when we arrived. My only nit picky point was they'd missed cleaning the fridge and bread bin and some areas in the top floor bathroom. Overall, we had a fabulous stay and we'd definitely go again. The security deposit was returned in full the next day. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We booked Whitehall for a long weekend in the autumn to celebrate a significant birthday with friends. It was so much fun to stay in a unique property with so much history - a large place that still felt homely and we really appreciated the personal touch of having contact with the owners and the housekeeper. Excellent property for larger families located close to Lake District and N Cumbria beaches. The house facilities were brilliant, kitchen well equipped, all the essentials and most of the luxuries too. WiFi Internet access across the house was good, speed ok. Decent 4g phone signal outside as the wall thickness did very well at blocking that Inside! We took our dog, who loved the extensive garden to explore. Would recommend to anyone. This is the perfect destination if you want to go that little bit extra for a special occasion mini-break rain or shine. There is plenty of room to relax and enjoy the property for all that it has to offer in a surprisingly warm and cosy medieval tower. It is well situated for the Lake District National Park and the Solway Coast with plenty of amenities in the town of Wigton just a few miles drive away. Lovely old place, definitely will go again. Only thing I missed was somewhere to walk the dog (other than the gardens) Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

What a house (or castle)! Full of charm and character. Perfect for two families - you can have a floor each and the communal spaces are huge. And the gardens are big, beautiful and private. Certainly met my three must-haves: clean, quite, comfortable. If you're thinking of renting this house in the autumn or winter, just check with the owners about arrangements for the heating.
