Our 10 sided 'round houses' are cozily nestled together for either a romantic retreat for a couple or a family gathering (BUT far enough apart for a little privacy)! There are a total of 3 separate bungalows that are outfitted with two double beds in each, so a total of 12 people can be accommodated with 4 people in each bungalow.

All of them have azure blue water views and directly located on a white sandy beach, where you can walk directly into the water and start your day of snorkeling, diving or kayaking! The houses are built with beautiful local lumber that is built to last and has a very cozy, warm, wood feeling. UPDATE 3/2024 THE 3 story dock was torn down and replaced by a PICKLEBALL court on and over the water! THERE is a yoga studio that has been completed and for a special occasion can be bought for a discounted price if you book 3 or more bungalows on the seashore There is boat parking that has covered parking for 3 boats. You can dock in deep water or moor a sailboat in the protected sunni's cove with coral reefs that surround the deep water access. There are a 13 different dive operators that can stop on our dock to pick you up on their way out to the north shore for a morning two tank dive, which you would need to contact the dive operators in utila town.

Located directly across the bay from our beach are a a handful of stores for grocery shopping and 4 restaurants that serve local fare. Your shopping experience is located less than 1 minute by skiff or 15-30 minutes by kayak which we provide for your use! There are no cars, busses, or roads so the only way to get around is by boat! Absolutely NO car traffic, once you get to sunni's cove, you will not want to leave!

The property at sunnis cove is peaceful and quiet, but the buzzing PARTY town of utila is located 4 miles east, where there are 14 plus dive shops, 20 plus restaurants, a movie theatre, and much much more!
The internet is slow but good enough for making email contact. Streaming is possible for an upgrade charge.

The water there is collected by the rainwater, so there is a limited supply of water. you must learn to be frugal while staying on or near the cays. THat being said there is a water surcharge if you go above the amount allotted, so short 5 minute showers are encouraged.

The property was nice although there was construction going on throughout my stay. Also there is not much to do on this part of the island. There are no stores or restaurants and very little to do after scuba diving unless you take a water taxi to other parts of the island. Usually my only choice was to go to bed after 7 pm.

The place is a slice of paradise! It is a little far from Utila town like 15-30 mins water taxi depending on the tide but its well worth it, because once you are there you won't want to leave. The view from the dock is beautiful, you can see both sunrise and sunset from there. Anke is super knowledgeable about the island and has awesome tips about stuff to do around the island, I visited in March with my family and Anke was able to find us a captain to go whale shark diving and snorkelling and he was truly the best, so thanks for the recommendation Anke. We had an amazing time, super relaxing, and spent nights gazing at the stars. Just be sure to bring lots of OFF. Overall it was amazing and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Sunni and Bob are great hosts. Very friendly and very knowledgeable about Utila, especially under the water! The cottages are very nice for up to 4 people. Amenities cover swimming, snorkeling, kayaking or just chilling. You'll have to kayak (very easy and easy to learn, even for this 65 year-old) to the cays if you want to get very basic needs or basic restaurants. You hire a panga (as low as $10/person one way) if you want to go into Utila Town. The pangas rarely go after dark or in bad weather. Scuba is the thing in Utila. Most of the dive shops are in Utila Town. I went to Captain Morgan's as advised by Sunni and it was an awesome experience. Sunni's Cove is a get away from it all experience. I suspect that the power will go out from time to time because the WiFi was iffy during a storm. If you want five star accommodations, go to Hawaii, but if you want something more real to life, something you'll never forget nor regret, come here. Downsides: coffee is mediocre at best.

My husband and I had a great time at Sunni's Cove! The cabins are lovely and cozy... it was a good thing, because when we were there it was stormy and rainy every day (at the end of the rainy season). We took walks along the beach and found many amazing shells and coral pieces; we kayaked across the channel to Suc Suc and Jewel Cays, where we had a great lunch and were able to stock up on groceries. We were happy to have a solid internet connection so we could watch some movies in the rainy evenings, and the shower was awesome. We also loved watching the sunsets and the changes in the ocean and the skies. Once you get there, you won't want to leave, it is so peaceful... The caretaker, Anke, went over and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy!
