Casa Colorada Is Located On Its Own Little Island

The place was clean and organized. Our host Anke and her son were so friendly and accommodating. Anke was wonderful with our kids while they did a discovery dive! Would stay there again and would recommend to anyone with an adventurous, open spirit.

Anke and her son were awesome ! Very helpful with setting it up so that it was easy to get there. Gave us a very comprehensive tour of the cay and how everything worked on the island. It was relatively easy and inexpensive to get to the town of Utilla from the cay. Anke was also Great to dive with!! We stayed at 3 different places in the Bay Islands on this trip and I can say this place was our favorite place.

Location was ideal - great snorkelling from the front door, but climbing in and out of the water is not for folks with limited athletic abilities & walking out in the shallow water requires person to be sure-footed. Outdoor seating did not provide the comfort we generally look for, and found this to be a tad lacking. Possibly, being over 50, played a role in our seating needs.Happy we stayed, enjoyed the Cays, very welcoming experience, all our needs were met by the services available.

If you researched this far on staying and diving in the Utila Cays, stop. This is where you want to be. One of the best stay and dive vacations we have ever had. Great place to stay and personalized diving. Go for a very unique and special experience off the beaten path of Utila and Roatan scene. Your host and boat captain are two of the most genuine, experienced, and fun people to spend time with. Your faith in humanity and Caribbean diving will be restored here. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Casa Colorado. Anke and her son were very kind and helpful hosts! Loved that we were able to get our PADI certification with Anke and loved diving with her!

Over all, this was an incredible trip! Anke met us with warm smiles and even sweeter hugs! I went for a relaxing birthday vacation in the warm sun and that’s exactly what I got. Anke even made me a cake for my birthday and it was the sweetest thing ever! The sea life is teaming right off the sea wall, we were even blessed to see Spotted Eagle Ray we named Flat Stanley. We made lots of fish friends, and scared off a barracuda or two. The water was always warm in the ocean and in the showers, despite what others have stated previously. Anke also took me out snorkeling and it is an experience I will never forget.

Anke is amazing. From the first minute she guided us. mentored and taught all that we wanted to know.

We stayed for 4 nights, and the room and host were amazing!! Anke taught us how to use the stove and make coffee, the place was really clean, and there was hot water for showers! Consistent internet, right in the water, secluded but also right in the heart of activity. 100% recommend!!!

Great stay in a unique setting. Anke is a very gracious host and can accommodate your every need. Convenient access to groceries stores and restaurants. We enjoyed the friendly locals as well as diving and snorkeling.

Beautiful house very clean and very well taken care of couldn’t have been better

Anke was amazing and her place was clean and nice. It was great to hear the waves right outside the window at night. Stargazing in the back yard was incredible.
