Lovely situated on huge terrain.This basic vacation home is situated on a large terrain with cork oaks. It makes a nice contrast with the overdeveloped coastal region some 24 km away. You can literary drive around your house and a walk along the outer loop of this property is about 3.5 km long. I spotted a fox during one morning hike and there is a small lake with ducks. The owner is a real host and not only takes care for the property but also for you.The house is basic with a well supplied wood stove for heating, a gas stove for cooking and an electric boiler for hot water. There are only the local TV channels but the internet is OK. For reading books inside you can use some better light as the windows are small. Asked for a rating I find that many people rate pretty high. For me a 10 is reserved for when there's nothing to improve which is seldom. As for hospitality Antonio earns a 10 however.We spend 9 days in December and had a good time.

Beautiful place surrounded by nature. We especially enjoyed the starry sky, the sunrise and sunset, and evenings by the fire or the grill. Perfect for a small child to explore. Antonio is a very kind and welcoming host.

Dear António,it was a most wonderful and enjoyable holiday at your house in the middle of the lovely hills of cork oaks, next to the sheep at the lake and all the unique viewpoints you arranged with passion! On top of that, (yes - literally) every miradouro was amazing and left us speechless! We couldn’t get enough, that’s for sure! The house was clean and cozy and got everything we needed - besides one or two sun loungers would be nice to take a nap in the shade around the house. António, as you know, you are so kind and very helpful at any time and it was a pleasure to take care of the fruit trees in return! The property was beautiful, quiet and stress free. Antonio came up to greet us after we had settled in to drop off some coffee pods ,he had left a wonderful bottle of wine and fresh pastries for us.He is a great communicator, always guick to get back to us, and had supplied multiple suggestions for places to eat,places to see and where to shop. We used his place as a base to travel the area. Lots to see from old castles, Roman ruins, to a mine tour and of course the beautiful coastal areas. A walk around the hectares of his beautiful property was a nice way to spend the morning. Also the daily visits from his chickens was enjoyable.We would love to come back.Obrigado Antonio

We had a fantastic 8 night stay in this comfortable, rustic cottage, which has everything you need for an enjoyable holiday. The terrace gets the sun all day long and the views are amazing. Inside the house is very comfortable, but we didn’t spend much time inside as the outside is so fantastic. We loved watching the night’s sky and saw shooting stars every night. The cottage is in an amazing setting. There are 2 other cabins on the property, but the plot is so large that you can’t see or hear them. There is a private lake, with seating making it perfect for an evening drink or picnic! The private viewpoint overlooking the whole property is amazing. We also enjoyed feeding the chickens and geese. There is a local bar (Cafe Primo Sergio) a 30 min walk from the house which serves good, home cooked food. The owner speaks very good English and both he and his wife are really friendly. The closest town is Cercal which is about a 10 minute drive away. It has everything you need, including an excellent bakery. Communication with the owner was excellent before and during our stay.

Wonderful relaxing

A quiet, relaxing and rustic stay in a beautiful area and great surroundings. Whilst not in Milfontes ( actually just outside Circal) it is a great centre for touring the area and visiting Milfontes, Porto Cova, Silves and many of the smaller coves and villages. The house itself was spotlessly clean and a great place for your holiday.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Antonios place. He is a very kind and welcoming host and the house and its sourroundings are just wonderful. We enjoyed the calmness of the sourrounding nature and the kids loved the chicken and the sheep! The place is very comfortable and has everything you need for having a great time. We loved Antonio’s beautiful little cabin. Very serene and we felt surrounded by tranquility. There was a miscommunication on our part about not knowing we needed a car, which we didn’t have. Antonio was excellent and sorted things out and so all was good. Thank you Antonio
