Amazing sunset views. The bed was comfortable with a unique view out the windows. The kitchen was well stocked and blankets provided for deck sitting. The hot tub was nice after a day of hiking. This home was clean, welcoming, and peaceful.

Hot tub was great! Lovely home. Good view and comfortable accommodations. We loved it!Just as a heads up, the bathroom sink is draining a little slow, and the upstairs roku remote needs 2 new AAs. Everything else was in 100% perfect order.The place was super clean upon arrival and I appreciate the cleaning/deposit system you have set up! Thank you for having us!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The hot tub was a wonderful treat and the view was outstanding in every weather. The bed is very high (i.e., you climb a step stool two steps to get in and out). so that took some getting used to, but it was very comfortable and the height allowed for a beautiful view to sea. We hope to return.

Warm, welcoming, and relaxing! The host was kind and communicative, and the property was beautiful and welcoming. Beautiful deck with a view, hot tub, and cozy interior with an ocean view, fire place, and multiple sleeping options. The house was comfortably furnished with a full functional kitchen, and we so appreciated that they allowed dogs, as well. Check-in was painless and the expectations for cleaning at check-out were clear and helpful. We had a lovely and relaxing weekend and definitely hope to stay again.

The host was very welcoming, and the place is beautiful. My wife and I accidentally locked ourselves out of the house, and contacted the host for help. She got us back in immediately. Would stay again!

Clean, well stocked, beautiful view, great hot tub, and wood stove is wonderful with plenty of wood. Bed upstairs difficult to get in and out of and kind of dangerous for short or older people.

Everything was perfect! Such a beautiful house by the water. The kitchen was well stocked for me and my partner to cook meals for the weekend. Amazing views of the sound, islands, and birds while we sipped our morning coffee. The hottub was so nice and relaxing in the evening. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend getaway on beautiful San Juan Island

Property was clean, adorable, and in a fabulous neighborhood. The owner was communicative. Loved the view. As a side note, we were expected to clean the house ourselves to the standard we found it or to pay for cleaning, which I was not expecting. Additionally, the owner wanted us to pay her directly, not through the VRBO site. I did so after speaking with someone who lives on the island and knew her. But otherwise, I would not have been comfortable with direct payment to a stranger. The stay and the view were lovely, the expectation list and rushed cleaning and laundry so we could leave by 8:30 am were a turn off. I booked 8 months in advance. If that was described in my agreement, i didn't realize it. Overall, thankful for a peaceful stay.

Everything was spic and span! The living room faces NW perfect for viewing sunsets. We forgot our binoculars and they have 2 pairs! We stayed downstairs in the trundle bed for the views. Kitchen has all the cool gadgets. We had coffee outside in the hot tub each day!

The house was lovely and comfortable, and there was a beautiful view of the Sound from the deck. The neighbors were closer than we expected and made some noise, and some neighboring dogs did a lot of barking, some after midnight, which woke me up, so I got almost no sleep our last night. The property manager mentioned some kind of barking deterrent she forgot to turn on, so they know it's a problem. The location was central and made exploring easy.

This wasca fantastic stay on San Juan Island. The cabin was clean and we had no issues. Host available and responded quickly for any questions. The view from balcony was amazing, we saw whales and seals right from the balcony. We had an awesome time here.

We had so much fun, the view was amazing, we all loved it my wife sure wants to come back, everything was so clean, and thank you Karen for letting us have our dog with us, we don’t go anywhere without him, thank you once again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen was very well stocked, which made it easy to cook meals without needing to bring much along. The space was perfect for a couple—cozy but comfortable. The view is absolutely fantastic, and our favorite part of the trip was spending time out on the deck just relaxing and taking it all in. Saw Orcas from the deck. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway.

Nice place, but not very accessible for even slightly disabled persons.Weird bed, and lots of cleaning chores that should have been done by their service.

Beautiful house and property! Well stocked and had everything we needed. Well taken care of. Do be aware that to get from the parking spot to the house you have to go down pallet-like steps. The giant bed upstairs was very comfortable! We saw lots of wildlife (tons of birds, some deer, bats) but no whales from shore. But if you’re looking for somewhere to see them this would be it. Would love to stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cottage on the west side of SJI. The home was exactly what we were hoping for—clean, comfortable, and full of charm. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind, with beautiful views right from the property. Booking through VRBO was a breeze, and working with Karen made the experience even better. She was responsive, kind, and incredibly easy to communicate with throughout the entire process.The weather during our stay was perfect, which gave us plenty of time to explore San Juan Island and soak up all the natural beauty. We saw so much wildlife—deer, eagles, seals, and orcas! Friday Harbor is just a short drive away and full of great restaurants, shops, and friendly people.We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

My niece ( who is only 4 years younger) and I did a road trip to Canada and San Juan Island. I'd been to the island a few times before, but never overnight. This house was the perfect place to go out and explore from, and then to come back to later in the day. Glass of wine watching the sun set over the islands, enjoying our books in the hot tub, and just relaxing. She used the upstairs bedroom, while I used the trundle bed in the living room.

We had great views of the sunset and even saw a few whales in the evening!

Great Location - Amazing View - fully equipped . . . However, the house was Not clean! Floors Dirty, table tops Sticky, and the King Bed was 5 feet off the floor, making it uncomfortable and potentially DangerousPlus - they ask you to Self-Clean otherwise they charge you from your damage deposit check . . . Very unusual and something we were not aware of until check-in

What a beautiful setting on the west side of SJI! The deck was our favorite place to relax, watch birds and we even saw orcas from the deck. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus for sunset! It is a sweet, well cared for home and is fully stocked which made our cooking and morning coffee easy! Karen was very responsive when we had questions during our stay.

The place is nice. It’s tucked away in a good part of the island if you want to get away from the busy areas. It was just two of us so there was plenty of room. Everything was clean and well stocked

This house had an amazing view. There is a house right on the coast that you see but the view to the water and horizon is clear. Hot tub was great. It was very clean and had a kitchen with basic utensils needed for making a meal. Also washing machine and dryer which was nice.It’s 20 min drive to Friday Harbor so we always planned meals with outings. The host recommended Maya whale watching and although pricey it was worth it. We also did kayaking and had the company meet us at snug harbor so we didn’t have to drive to Friday Harbor. The snug harbor resort had a tiny grocery so we bought bacon one morning and coffee another. I think my only complaint was the height of the bed! I forgot in the middle of the night and thought I broke a leg but I’m okay. Otherwise we were comfortable and we felt fine leaving our dog in the home when we went out if needed.

My husband, 6 year old son, and I truly enjoyed our stay on the island. Great house to be our homebase while here exploring and adventuring. So much to do on the island. Our favorites were visiting American camp, Young Hill hike at the English camp, Reuben Tarte County Park, Lime Kiln park, Dead Man's cove, Grandma's cove. We had a relaxing time sitting on the deck overlooking the sea. No waterfront access but absolutely gorgeous!

Had a fantastic time here with my daughter and dog. The photos do not do justice to the view from the deck and hot tub. I thought I was just getting a place to stay while performing on the island, but I really unplugged here. Everything was clean and everything we needed (and more) was provided. The master bed is extremely comfortable and takes good advantage of the view. You can tell that a lot of love was put into this place and especially love for dogs. The payment method seemed a little unusual to me but worked out easily once Karen explained it. Next time I'm on the island I will not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you!

Great location and setup for a week of remote work and rejuvenation. Particularly enjoyed dog walks down to Snug Harbor and sunsets from the hot tub.

It is a lovely relaxing spot. Nice view and lots of bird feeders on the deck. I never knew how much I liked watching birds! Funny little guys. We had everything that we needed here.

This is our second stay at this lovely property. The house is wonderful — great views, very comfortable, spotlessly clean, very well equipped. I highly recommend this to anyone seeking a beautiful retreat.

We had a short but sweet trip to the island. This spot was such a treat! Its the perfect size for a couple but can certainly sleep more with a day bed in the lower living space! The deck wraps around the back to the side where there is a hot tub. Note there is a main house/neighboring home next door but they did a good job of keeping the area private with fencing. There is the perfect amount of trees to feel secluded but also enough space to see the water from the expansive windows. The space has everything you need: towels, toiletries, dishes, washer/dryer, bedding, space heaters, and even binoculars for whale watching! The driveway is wooded and there are a number of steps down to the house (just noting for any folks who may have accessibility concerns). Also the main bed is very tall so requires a step stool getting in and out.

Lovely views at this location, and very cozy spot. Would just give other folks a heads up that the location is not as private as we thought it'd be based on the photos on the listing, the house is very close to neighbors and owners. Additionally, cleaning fees were not included in the price and there was an expectation we clean everything after ourselves or be hit with additional fees. Also - the owner prefers a separate contract and Venmo request for a deposit, outside of VRBO that did confuse us a bit, but we went along with it anyway. Would prefer to keep everything in one place, personally.

We love San Juan Island. This was our 5th year going there for Thanksgiving. First time staying here. We loved it. Great house, great host. Amazing view. One thing to know that you can’t tell from the pictures—there’s a closet behind the king size bed and it creates a circle, meaning that you can get to the one side of the bed by going around the back of the bed (thru the closet that’s kind of like a walkway). Also, in case it’s not clear from the photos, the bathroom is on the main floor.

My family and I so enjoyed our stay here that we spent all three days of our vacation playing games, doing puzzles, talking, cooking and watching the ships go by. We didn't go anywhere else, except a short shopping trip to Friday Harbor and a trip to St. Francis Catholic church for Mass on Sunday. There is a lot to do on San Juan Island, but staying in and enjoying this lovely home was hard to beat

We spent a week here working remotely and relaxing. It was wonderful. Good WiFi, comfy bed, well stocked kitchen. Quiet with great scenery. Would come back again.

It was a beautiful weekend to be on the island. We never did spot any orcas, but we sure tried. And kitchen had everything we needed for a couple of meals.

We had a great time staying at this property with our two dogs! The view was beautiful and it was a very serene location. The property manager was very responsive and quick to assist with fixing problem with water heater. Would stay here again!

Beautiful cabin with a well stocked kitchen and beautiful view of the ocean. We were able to see whale (from a distance) from our patio while sipping on coffee in the morning! Bed is located on a high platform on the second floor, we loved it cause it gave us a beautiful view of the ocean. Appreciated the complimentary coffee and loved the hot tub outside. Loved everything about this place, would come back again!

The home was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. You need to be aware the bed is on a high platform on the second floor. They provide a ladder on each side of the bed to get up into the bed. The bathroom is on the first floor. When I needed to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, I had to turn on a flashlight to make sure your feet found the ladder, then walk down downstairs. By the time I get back up into the bed, I am WIDE awake. The wooden walkway to the house has about 12 steps that are hard to see. The white reflective strips are missing on about 3-4 of the steps. It is a little scarry at night. All that being said.... as long as you are steady on your feet this is a lovely place to stay. The view off the back deck is now limited. Several trees have grown up limiting the view to a small section of the back deck. But that section has a glorious view. There is no beach access.

We stayed in this beautiful home with an outdoor deck and we’re treated to a pod of orcas passing through one morning. We will return!

Cozy cabin with hot tub and ocean views, nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Immaculately clean. Has everything you need. Our pup loved it too. Bed is very cozy…almost like a king sized bunk bed since it’s on a platform and you need to use a stool to get in/on. This was the cleanest proper

Perfect small, tidy house. View from deck/ living room lovely! We felt very central - easy to jaunt anywhere on the island in 15 minutes. Hosts very responsive and friendly!

We had so much fun on San Juan Island! The home was perfect and so clean. We enjoyed grilling and spending time on the porch. There were beautiful views from each room.

A really great place, better than expected from the pictures. On laundry, I fully expect the need to get the washing going on sheets and towels etc. prior to departure, Be aware, drying and folding was also expected, so allow yourselves plenty of time to avoid the extra cleaning fees.
