OCCUPANCY LIMIT 5 - A waterfront 2 Bedroom 1 Bath on Highland Lake in Windham. Enjoy lake living while being less than 30 minutes from Portland. The cottage has an open living space with views of the lake from the living room and kitchen. Both bedrooms are on the main floor with full beds. There is also a loft with 2 twin beds. A nice-sized flat lot with a fire pit near the water. Shallow entry is great for swimming. Also enjoy the 2 kayaks provide. (GUEST BRING THEIR OWN LIFE JACKETS)

Stayed Sep 9, 2025We had a super relaxing time. The view is beautiful. Lake access is easy, convenient and perfect for swimming and lounging. The host also graciously offers the use of their kayaks, which we loved! The house is clean and the property is beautiful Everything we needed to disconnect and unwind. A great vacation and we will definitely be coming back!

Stayed Aug 29, 2025It was an adorable little camp that feels homey. The lake is awesome and access is right there. It is the shallow end but that didnt bother us at all. That would be great for smaller kids too. We enjoyed the puzzles available. I would suggest anyone with smaller kids take some caution with some wood debris though. Teens loved the loft.

Stayed Jun 20, 2025Perfect getaway for three adults. The weather cooperated so we were able to enjoy the lake and spent most of the weekend outside. The location is great and easy to access. The home is comfortable, camp style living. It could benefit from an updated living room chair, as the one there is missing any solid cushioning. The loft area is tight and not suitable for adults. Amenities are simple and neighbors are very close — albeit friendly, overall good stay and would return.

Stayed Oct 11, 2024Boomfish Cottage is a cozy place with everything you could need . It was clean , comfy and serene . It provided the perfect calm for us during a weekend long family wedding at nearby Caswell Flower Farm . It was also easy access for an older person ( me) as well as small children and my little ShihTzu rescue dogs . My granddaughters came by and loved catching minnows in the still warm lake. Extra bonus was enjoying the peak foliage at the lake . Eric , the property manager was very communicative and check in was easy. We all loved our stay and also the story about Boomer the dog catching pinecones instead of fish ! Lovely stay and hope to return. Thank you !
