Fish, kayak, canoe or swim in the freshwater pond from our private shore area. Enjoy our complimentary canoe with select size lifejackets. The National Seashore, Salt Pond Visitor's Center, Coast Guard and Nauset Light Beaches, and biking/hiking trails are just moments away. The Visitor's Center at nearby Salt Pond is the entrance to the National Seashore. From Salt Pond you can canoe or kayak to the outer ocean. The National Seashore area is also filled with biking and hiking trails, and is home to some of Cape Cod's best beaches to include Coast Guard Beach which is about 2 miles away.
Our cottage is centrally located between Provincetown and Hyannis where you can join fishing, sailing and whale watching charters, and enjoy great shopping and restaurants. The winery in Truro, the antique shops and galleries in Wellfleet, and the many shops and restaurants of Orleans and Eastham are just a some of the other nearby attractions.
Welcome to Serendipity!
Welcome Home!
Very nice property with a wonderful host. Nice vacation stay for anyone
I just love this cozy cottage on a scenic pond In a quiet part of the Cape. The owners have skillfully and tastefully renovated it to be comfortable and attractive. We stayed after the summer crowds had left the Cape and during the transition of seasons. One day was humid summer, the next warm rain, the next a beach day, and the next a glimpse of autumn breeze with spring temps. We travel frequently throughout the world, but will remember this location as one of our favorites.
Perfect spot to enjoy all the Cape has to offer! Minutes to the bike path, walks, National sea shore beaches, and bay beaches. Short drive to P-town or Chatham. House was beautifully appointed with wonderful touches. Enjoyed the pond view from the deck with my morning coffee. Super comfortable for the three of us! Donna was extremely responsive! Look forward to returning to this perfect spot to explore more!
We stayed four nights and had a terrific time. Everything was as advertised. Best for two adults. We had my sister and brother in law for two of the nights and was fine but if staying a week would want to have a dishwasher for cooking in. Everything else was great!
We stayed at Serendipity for 2 nights / 3 days and were absolutely delighted. The cottage is the perfect size for 2-4 people (we stayed with our 15 yo daughter) and is unique in how thoroughly it has been updated and lovingly designed. There's a real attention to detail that comes through in all of the decorations, and we appreciated the high-end bedding and towels. In addition, the pond with canoe and deck are a real treat. Although you are just off rte 6, there's a wide variety of bird life on the pond and we were treated to read tail hawk and osprey having their breakfast as we drank our morning coffee. Location is great as well, as Nauset Lighthouse beach and Coast Guard beach are only 2-3 miles away (get there early) and Provincetown only 30 mins if you want to venture further afield to Race Point. We did not explore the Eastham town beaches but there are several. We are so happy to have found this gem and will be back!
Just as advertised, a cute little cottage on a fresh water pond. The location is great, just at the entrance to the National Seashore. Coast Guard, Nauset Light, and Nauset Beach are all minutes away. Donna is very responsive and has the cottage all prepared with little niceties.
This was the perfect getaway!! The home is perfect so much put into the little touches! The view is truly amazing!! Donna was a wonderful host , very responsive and accommodating! Will def stay again
We really enjoyed our stay. Perfect for two. We like the location near lifeguard Beach and not far from the Audubon Perserve in Wellfleet.
The owners have done a great job with this cottage! The vistors handbook they have says they did a lot of upgrades for the 2021 season and it shows - everything is very nice, clean, and up-to -date. We also enjoyed the outdoor breakfast bar on the porch overlooking the pond (we ate lunch there one day, too). The location is convenient - really close to the National Seashore Vistor Center (unfortunately, it would be very dangerous to walk there), convenient to Orleans, and a half hour to P-town. We also biked to the Rail Trail from the cottage, but crossing Rte 6 can be dicey (and we were there in mid Sept) - the recommendation to take your bikes to the Vistor Center is a good one - probably a necessity in summer. We used the canoe which is in very good condition. There's also a watersports rental place nearby that will deliver a kayak or paddle board right to the driveway and pick it up at the end of the day - we did paddleboarding on the pond - good beginner activity. We saw people fishing in the pond - don't know if you need a license for that. Some things to consider about this cottage - There is only one bathroom and it is only big enough for one person at a time (even kids!). There is a roomier outdoor shower that we used and it was very nice. Getting onto or across Rte 6 - the sight lines, especially for traffic on the left, are somewhat limited and the speed limit is 40 mph. Fortunately, there is a traffic light at the Visitors Center which temporarily stops (or at least reduces) the traffic from the left.
Beautifully decorated and fitting of the name, Serenity. I was looking for a quiet place to enjoy the Cape off season and this did not disappoint. Close to the beaches, CCRT and shops. I loved using my SUP on the pond and the outdoor shower was wonderful. Would definitely go back. The owners were very attentive and accommodating. Wonderful!
