Waterfront cottage for paddle boarding, kayaking, crabbing, and fishing

Amazing place, beautiful lakefront property. We were staying there for a local event, but it would've been wonderful to have some more time to enjoy the property. Thanks to the owner who communicated very thoroughly and made the stay easy

What a quaint and cute cottage. We were in town for a wedding and needed something pet friendly. This fit our needs perfectly. Beautiful waterfront with everything provided. Owners were so friendly and accommodating. They helped us get the kayaks in the water so we could take a nice trip around the river. Even saw two bald eagles. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful view. Ideal for fishing. Privacy as the cottage is separated from the owners house. Plenty of room in the cottage. Very nice people. We had everything we needed for a nice relaxing fishing weekend. And caught lots of Catfish. Also our dog was able to come with us. Some things could definitely use replacement in the unit. Washer Dryer worked but are very noisy and squeaky. Also the shower is in a very deep bathtub that was hard for both of us to get in and out of. Could really use a step on the outside of it.

It was very peaceful and loved the fact that we could fish from our own pier. The house was very nicely kept and cute.

This is a cute little mother in law suite (or maybe a granny pod) on a waterfront property. It was well appointed with a fire pit and evn fishing poles/nets. The screened in porch ran the whole length of the house and looked onto the water. Tucked away from the world but not too far from food and town. Amazing little place. Perfect for a couple or small family.

Huge cabin, well equipped beautiful location. heater did not seem to work well. no WIFI, but that was ok.

This was a perfect getaway for our 5th wedding anniversary. It was great that we were able to bring our 2 dogs along. Very relaxing stay.

It was very nice. Plenty of room for my husband and I. They had quality toilet paper and paper towels. I contacted the host a couple of times and she responded almost immediately. We had to change our plans on leaving our boat in the water because it was too far of a drive on the water so we trailered it and drove to a ramp closer to large mouth bass fishing. We asked if they could save parking for us with the trailer and they made arrangements daily to make room for us. It all worked out great.

Lovely water front spot. We were there for a wedding so didn’t have time to kayak or take advantage of area. Cottage was clean. Tina the host had great communication. Allowed us to bring our dogs as we couldn’t find a pet sitter for the weekend

We arrived late at night but check in was super easy. The house is cute and has a great screened in porch. There is a family of bluebirds that live in a birdhouse off the porch. We didn’t have great weather but it was early in the season. We had a wedding nearby and this was a great place to stay with our pup. The hosts are great.

The host was very friendly and she allowed us to check in early. The grounds were perfect for my little dogs. Very pet friendly. The house was clean but there was a strong smell of smoke (maybe not cigarette) or dampness in the couch and bed pillows. It has individual AC units as opposed to central air as well. The house could improve on some things like old pots and pans/appliances for the kitchen but that’s just me as someone that likes to cook and eat in. Given that there aren’t many choices around the area anyways, it is even more significant to have some decent (not fancy or professional) pots and pans. The shower water was amazing and restroom was clean. I really loved the covered patio too. It was a very relaxing spot and I would definitely go back, with my own pots/pans of course. Just make sure you bring your own groceries, snacks, etc. The owner also had a large selection of TV channels, so you’ll never be short of things to entertain you. Overall it we a very positive experience.

I thought it might need tongs for flipping the bacon at breakfast.It was very well stocked otherwise and clean.Very happy with our stay and super quiet and safe.

5th time here, and it did not disappoint, as usual!! The setting is perfect, with lots of areas to unwind and of course, the waterfront dock is the highlight! Super comfy sectional for stretching out after a long day and the large bathroom and living areas definitely make for a surprising amount of space indoors!! The owners Tina and John ( and their little dog too…) are 5 Star welcoming and bring their own personality to the place since they live in the house next door. Just a special property with built in perks at every turn! We’ll be back for visit #6, Lord willing next year! Can’t say enough good things!!

This was my third time staying here. Beautiful home on the river. Caught plenty of fish and crab. Home is incredibly clean and cozy. Tina is quick to answer any and all questions. Will definitely be back. Thanks!

Lovely place and location!

This is a comfortable place with a lovely view. It was easy to launch our kayaks and we really enjoyed our time on the water. The location is great and the neighborhood is peaceful. Our dogs love to swim and they had a great time, too!

This place is so cute and very peaceful. Great spot to unwind and just relax. Bird watched everyday. Kayaked, fished, and more. Sat on the dock and just watched and listened. Tina and John are the nicest people. They helped us so much.

My husband and I stayed here on our way back to Long Island after a family wedding. The house was very clean and just right for the two of us. A little hint going forward, pick up any food you need at LaPlanta. There are only small markets close to the house and are quite pricey. If you are looking for a relaxing leave the world behind place to stay, this is the place for you.

The location was perfect for us for a few days to get away. Being on the water was perfect. We loved being able to bring our fur babies with us. The kitchen had everything we needed. Tina was a great host. We hope to go back again.

We enjoyed our stay at the waterfront cottage with yoga on the dock in the morning, afternoon kayaking and dinner at Captain Billy’s Seafood restaurant. Down time spent reading and nature watching made the for the perfect weekend.

We came to the cottage so we could attend a motorcross event at BuddsCreek. The location was close and the property was amazing. My son was able to come back from riding to relax with his fishing pole. He had so much fun on the dock. Thank you for opening up your cottage and allowing us to have a wonderful weekend.

We had the most magical weekend stay at this charming riverfront house. The view was absolutely breathtaking—watching the last rays of sunlight from the screened porch felt like pure serenity. The home itself was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated in a simple, elegant way that instantly put us at ease. Every detail was thought through—from gleaming clean dishes to every kitchen gadget imaginable (yes, even a Kuraje coffee maker and a funky outdoor stove!).What truly made this stay unforgettable was the warm, welcoming energy of the owners next door. Normally, that might feel intrusive, but they were more like friends we hadn’t met yet—there if needed, never in the way. Their sweet, well-mannered son even taught us how to fish (at our request!), and they welcomed our little puppy like one of their own.The peaceful, joyful energy they bring fills the entire space, and the surrounding neighborhood is just as dreamy—lined with stunning homes and views that make you stop and stare. We left feeling refreshed, connected, and already dreaming of our next visit to this little slice of heaven on earth.

We stayed here for the weekend while attending a car show at the raceway close by. Very private and welcoming. Great place to relax and unwind after a long day.

This was our mid-Winter get away from the city. The home is cute, quiet, and well appointed. The host is welcoming and responsive. We had a lovely, restful stay.

We chose to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary here for a quiet weekend away with our dog. The house provided everything we needed and the owners were great to deal with. Highly recommend!!
