Stayed Jan 1, 1I booked this property as I had stayed here before, and its situated on a quiet private road, near to the beach, with a garden to sit out in, and central for visiting various places on the coast. This made it ideal as I was taking my elderly mother with me. However, our peaceful holiday was spoilt by the building work taking place on both neighbouring properties, the one directly opposite and another at the end of the road. I was woken each morning, by the sound of cement mixers, angle grinders, drilling, hammering, radios, shouting etc, which went on all day. Just as annoying were the number of vans and cars parked everywhere. If I had been made aware that I would effectively be holidaying in the middle of a building site I would not have booked this property.

Stayed May 24, 2025What can I say, we’ve just arrived home after a lovely week in Cromer! Walma offers comfort and space for you stay. The garden is a pretty little wilderness but not really safe to leave the dog out as the gates are rotting away so we tried her up. The house itself was a nice open plan and I loved how the bathroom and double room are downstairs. Beds are comfy too which is a plus. The downside for us was there was no wifi so unable to use our phones for weather info, Sat navs and places to visit. We did use the brochures in the drawer to help with some of those issues. Overall, Walma is a good place to stay - not sure why very early check out as property hadn’t had a deep clean on the day of our arrival. I had to sweep many dead flies away for the patios on arrival. Overall, the tops were clean and loved how milk and wine were ready for our arrival. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Stayed Aug 12, 2023We enjoyed our week at Walma. It's in a great position, right near the beach, the local shop, bus stops, and walking routes. Also, the village was very quiet at all times. The house feels bright and airy, with plenty of space in the kitchen and dining area. The bedrooms and linens were clean and fresh. The bedroom furniture is like new. The bed downstairs was comfortable, those upstairs less so. The back garden could do with a clear-up, but it's suitable for sitting in the sun. As has been mentioned previously, the hob has no markings, so you are never sure which pad will heat up. Also, the toaster needs replacing - it will only toast one slice at a time. In general, the tools for cooking could be better - saucepans need a deep clean, for example. However, we didn't come here to cook, so it was only a minor inconvenience. A lovely break and a very friendly house.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is a constructive review - not a moan! We have had a lovely stay at the house and have had a lovely holiday. Would we go back to walma? Absolutely!! If…….. - there were comfier chairs in the television room, the garden was a little more secure for the dog and maybe some instructions on how to use the hob (all the visual clues have been worm away from the hob itself. Whilst they are small things to fix, a safe pooch and a comfy bottom are quite important to us . Clare

Stayed Jul 23, 2022This property is in a great location for the beach and other activities. Walking distance from the Chip Shop, Butchers, Pub and little shop. Three good sized bedrooms, a well stocked kitchen and two separate sitting areas. Garden is a nice size, although a little over grown in places. Had to park outside the property, as we couldn't fit our car through the gate, but this wasn't a big issue as the house is situated down a private road, with very little traffic. This also results in little or no road noise at night, even with the windows open. Tesco is just down the road in Sheringham. Great base for visiting Norfolk Coast or just staying in East Runton and going to the beach.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I took my mother to Norfolk as part of her 80th Birthday celebrations. Walma is a good sized, well laid out property, on a quiet private road in a beautiful part of Norfolk. The garden, although a little overgrown, is a sun-trap for much of the day. I chose this property because it has a downstairs bedroom and bathroom, and the stairs are a little steep.
