The space
This 700 square foot cottage has been completely remodeled and redesigned with an open floor plan, loft area, and a full kitchen and bath. It sleeps 2-4 people comfortably. Enjoy your morning coffee on the attached deck area and a relaxed mountain evening, sipping on a glass of wine while watching the fireflies. Cozy up by your own personal fire pit for a quiet evening in. Great for walking, jogging, and biking. The setting is quiet and feels somewhat remote, but you are not far from all that Saluda, Hendersonville, Tryon, Asheville, and Greenville have to offer.
Guest access
The cottage is equipped with a full kitchen, private bathroom, and deck area.
There is wifi but with the nature of the mountain location it is not always completely reliable depending on the weather.
Depending upon your service, wifi calling maybe helpful.
Other things to note
The main bedroom is equipped with a comfy king size bed. Loft area has 2 twin beds and a lounge chair.
Comfortable, quiet cottage in the mountains. I am very satisfied with my stay.
Booking and check in was simple. We had 3 adults as our son ended up joining us. The loft was the perfect space for him. This was our second time staying here and we will be back!
We had a wonderful time.
The cabin is very eye appealing and great for cozy conversation. Love the old doors repurposed and the ladder going up to the loft. We enjoyed our visit and felt that the renters used the space well and provided clear information on how to use heat, fan, etc The only possible improvements:The oven may not be true to temp settings. We had to go up to 450 to get casseroles heated completely and couldn’t find an oven mitt. Shower floors are hard to keep clean. That was the only thing I wished was cleaner. All small things that fade in comparison to the quaintness of the cabin.
The cottage is just gorgeous! Wrap a round porch, Firepit, and a short walk to Lake with paved trail around perimeter. The interior is very nicely decorated and cozy. The kitchen is very well appointed, bed is super comfortable. Altogether a great little home, just a few minutes drive to Black Mountain and surrounding hikes. Host was friendly and responsive. Highly recommend!
Great! We loved it there :)
The loft was very clean and had everything we needed even though it was small. The decorations are welcoming. The owners are very friendly and made are stay really enjoyable. Definitely plan to return.
My husband and I were looking for a quiet few days with access to walks in the woods and privacy. This was a great choice, comfortable bed, great shower, simple furnishings and fire pit. We walked thru Saluda and Hendersonville, hiked in the Pisgah National Forest. All short drive away. Plenty of restaurants from bbq to more upscale.
My breath was taken away when we got in the house, the pictures look exactly like it does in person. Its so quite (except the occasional rooster crow but it was really cute!) And so peaceful. My kids adored the lake and the fun lofts that were very comfortable. You cannot go wrong renting this place if you need some time away from the world.
I was there a very short time as I had to work but it was okay. Not horrible, not amazing. Small, but had everything we needed. There were some eyebrow raising charges to insurance after we left that was not brought to my attention. I was required to get the backup insurance and, oddly enough, it resulted in them being paid for an alarming amount of damaged items. They also threw out several of our items I tried to get back within a couple hours of check out that had been accidently left behind. Not the best experience. It is what it is.
This is a super cute house, on a beautiful piece of land. There is a sweet pond just down the road. The beds were all very comfortable and everything was clean. I would definitely recommend this house, especially if you aren't dependent on internet. The internet really isn't dependable, so I would bring a book (or you could play the board games that are provided).
With life being so busy we were looking for somewhere near towns and hiking. This cottage was just what we needed. Campfires at night and hiking and exploring by day.
The small cottage was perfect for my wife and I. We loved staying here and loved the town of Saluda.
This cottage has us smiling every day of our 5 day stay. It was well equipped and cozy. The bed was comfy, and the porch was inviting. We would stay here again.
A great place to just relax.
Great place with just the right amount of space. Quiet, secluded, and a great fire pit. We would stay there again.
Tastefully decorated and simple - comfortable and all you would ever need to relax.
We loved our quick getaway as a family for the 4th. The location was perfect. We felt very much at home and had plenty of space to spread out. We enjoyed eating in Saluda and had a blast kayaking with Green River Adventures. We plan to return in the fall!
Enjoyable stay! Comfortable, nicely appointed cottage; beautiful location not too far from town! Clean, nicely decorated…perfect spot to walk our fur-babies, relax…no keys needed with keyless entry which is always appreciated!
Came up for a wedding just needed a quiet cozy spot. Perfect little getaway cabin.
