Twin Pines, Charming Cayuga Lakefront Cottage w/amazing views

The view of the lake was the best, with beautiful sunrise, sunset & even a double rainbow one day! The cottage had everything we needed. The hosts were very accommodating, friendly and helpful.

This cottage is everything you need for a fun stay in Ithaca. The location is perfect - between state parks and town. The cottage is so cozy (I don’t mean small, just cozy). Owners were amazingly responsive and kind. Thanks for a fabulous anniversary weekend!

We had a perfect stay at Twin Pines. The only downside was not having enough time to just relax at the cabin, which was just as enjoyable as all of the nearby sites!

We had another great week at Twin Pines (five years running!) The house was clean and had everything we needed, the private beach and floating dock were perfect for our needs. We hope to come back next year!

Away from it all but close enough to go into Trumansburg or Ithaca. Great view of the Cayuga Lake, which we would have spent more time on if the weather had cooperated. Great base for exploring the regions multitude of waterfalls and hiking trails. Well equipped and comfy. Hosts were communicative and helpful.

We enjoyed our time at the cottage. Very homey, quiet and great views from the bedroom. We went in early May so the properties next to us were empty. Outside of Ithaca but 10 minutes to town. We took our small dog with us who loved the lake. We would love to go back there again.

We (2 adults, 11 year old child and a dog) stayed at Twin Pines for a long weekend (3 nights) and it was lovely. The cottage is cozy and located beautifully on Cayuga Lake, and a 20 minute drive from Ithaca. The hosts, Ed and Dennis are very helpful and kind, showed us around the property and gave us good local recommendations for our stay. Would return again if in the area! Thank you!

We were incredibly excited to book this location, the views are splendid and the privacy is unmatched! We had a great weekend. Cleanliness: we stayed in early October, so likely the cabin was nearing the end of its season of use. But there were cobwebs around some furniture with spiders and dust on ceiling fans, in high ceiling corners and above sleeping areas. As well, we were made aware of a bee problem on the deck, the night of our arrival that dampened our morning coffee views. The property could use a deep clean, but other than that it was very organized and comfortable. We consistently reminded ourselves it was a cabin but for spending a lot of $$$ on a 3 night weekend VRBO rather than a state park cabin, it should have been in better shape. Hosts: were great! Their introduction and availability was very compassionate. They have a wonderful property. When messaged about the spider web/cleanliness issue they came over that day to clean the areas we had pointed out in our message. Overall: If you’re comfortable with the daily rate and some dust and dirt, go for it! It’s a cute and cozy lived in cabin. Be mindful that the rooms upstairs are shared by a thin wall and sliding glass door so there is little privacy up there. The views in the summer and the zero entry water access would have me sold. We were visiting our son at college and looking forward to a relaxing, enjoyable fall weekend on the lake. Mission accomplished! The hosts are easily accessible and very responsive. The cottage is clean and comfortable. No neighbors are close enough to be a potential bother. The view is beautiful. We split our outside time between the deck and the wonderful fire-ring/dock area by the lake and enjoyed every minute. The only 4 I gave was because it is a little difficult to drive to, but don't let that deter you, the destination is worth the journey!
