Stayed Apr 13, 2026Our stay at the historic Casita was outstanding. Jim and Amy were wonderful hosts who were responsive in every way (booking, communication, check-in and out, answering questions). The Casita is just off the main street in Tubac on a quiet side street that is an easy walk to all the shops and restaurants. Jim and Amy met us upon arrival and showed us around the Casita. The living area is nicely adorned and comfortable with a fully stocked kitchen and a gas grill on the back patio. The front porch and side patios are awesome with great seating for morning coffee, evening refreshments, meals and bird watching. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with a nice walk in tile shower. We had a few visits from Jim and Amy’s lovely dog, Josie, who is super friendly and we really enjoyed her company. The VRBO description of the property is spot on. There is a wonderful binder with information about the history of the Casita as well as things to do around the area. Thanks Jim and Amy for a wonderful stay! We look forward to staying again at the Casita on our next trip. Tim and Pat

Stayed Apr 5, 2026We loved this casita. There were three distinct outdoor seating areas: a front porch where we could see the sunrise over the mountains, a charming side porch where we watched and heard many birds among the lush greenery, and a brick patio in the backyard with an umbrella table. Jim and Amy greeted us on our arrival and made sure we were comfortable.

Stayed Jan 9, 2026My wife and I have stayed in many short term rentals while traveling and this one ranks at or near the top of our list. We were enchanted with the casita as soon as we pulled up, and our time there was a highlight of a longer trip. The little house is steeped in local history, and the caring hand of thoughtful refurbishment is evident throughout. Located near the attractions of Tubac, but on a quiet street with other historic homes, and right next to the Presidio. We very much enjoyed the outdoor spaces - the shaded porch in front and the spacious back patio with blooming gardens and a nice bbq grill. The indoor kitchen is very well stocked, small but functional. The hosts’ house is nearby but we felt we had privacy, and the hosts themselves are available and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Located within striking distance of many outdoor destinations in SoAz. We were sad to leave and hope to return.

Stayed Jan 4, 2026This was one of the more special places I have stayed. Authentic. Historic adobe casita just outside he busy part of Tubac. We loved everything about it. Well stocked with whatever needed to cook, but we chose to eat at local restaurants. Outdoor spaces were also lovely. Hosts are available but we felt complete privacy. We will be back!

Stayed Dec 1, 2025This historic casita is our favorite VRBO property. We like to stay in historic places and staying in one built in 1857 was wonderful! The host has the home designed and stocked with everything you need during your stay. It has a lovely front porch, side yard seating and a lovely patio out back. There are lots of places to relax, read or enjoy a glass of wine inside and out.

Stayed Oct 26, 2025This little casita is exceptional in every way! Extremely comfortable bed and pillows, fabulous shower and water pressure, adorable kitchen with every convenience including filtered water spout. Excellent wifi, nice flat screen tv, lots of wonderful reading material and comfy leather chair and ottoman for kicking back and relaxing. There's a wonderful private patio with lots of greenery and a barbeque. The historical integrity of this 1857 gem has been lovingly preserved by the owner/host. Both Jim and Amy were warm and welcoming. After a week's stay, it was hard to leave this extraordinary little piece of history and Heaven in the unique little walking town of Tubac. I will definitely be returning!
