Brand new boutique cottage nestled behind a historic 19th century property in the heart of Astoria's Uppertown District. Located just off the Riverwalk, enjoy beautiful sunset walks along Mill Pond and the waterfront. Designated parking at the Firehouse Museum and ample street parking. Conveniently located next to Tranquil River Day Spa (https://www.tranquilriverdayspa.com/) for your relaxation needs and steps to restaurants, museums, shopping, entertainment, and a short distance to panoramicviews from the Astoria Column. Take in all the natural beauty and adventure Astoria has to offer.

This 288 sq. ft. studio is stylishly decorated and very comfortable with a queen size daybed, stocked kitchenette, smart TV, Wi-Fi and a floating wood countertop for dining, working or hanging out. It has a new mini split air conditioner with heat pump to keep you comfortable year round. The large bathroom has a brand new large tiled shower with a mural. The entrance draws you along a potted garden filled with bamboo, vines and ferns leading to a lovely shared covered deck area with seating and a fountain where you can unwind. The unit is through a gate and up a few stair steps from there with a cozy private deck, a café table and chairs.

In case you're new to the area here's a couple ideas for things to do around town:

Astoria Sunday Market (https://www.astoriasundaymarket.com/about): A combination of a farmer's and artist's market every Sunday downtown during the warmer months.

The Sea Crab House (https://theseacrabhouse.com): A local favorite for seafood.

Mo's (https://ilovemoschowder.com/mos-astoria): Another local favorite for seafood

Thai Me Up by Patta (https://www.thaimeuporder.com/): Good Thai food

Fort George Brewery (https://fortgeorgebrewery.com): Local brewery to unwind at after your northwest adventures, if you like IPAs try the Vortex.

Buoy Beer Company (https://www.buoybeer.com/): Another local brewery but this one is out on the pier.

The Astoria Column (https://astoriacolumn.org): For an incredible view stretching from Saddle Mountain to the Washington coast take some time to climb the column or hike to the area on one of the trails. FYI, a parking pass is $5.

Long Beach, WA (https://smalltownwashington.com/things-to-do-in-long-beach-wa/): Fly a kite, take a surfing lesson or just drive down the nearly 30 miles of beach until you find your perfect spot. This is roughly a 30 minute scenic drive from Astoria.

Bowpicker Fish & Chips (https://bowpicker.com/): I'm not a giant fan of fish & chips but I have friends who rave about this place.

Pelayo's Taqueria (https://www.facebook.com/taqueriapelayos/): A nearby taco truck with good food and good selection.

Hwy 101 (https://www.oregoncoasttravel.net/): The Oregon coast is very scenic all year long. Take a drive and explore some of our natural beauty and small coastal towns. A few places to check out are Seaside, Ecola State Park, Cannon Beach, Oswald West State Park (the short hike to Short Sand Beach is nice).

Jewell Meadows Wildlife Area (https://myodfw.com/jewell-meadows-wildlife-area-visitors-guide): This is a little out of the way but it's a scenic drive and you are pretty much guaranteed to see a large herd of elk beside the road if you arrive near sunrise or sunset in the cooler months.

Fort Stevens State Park (https://stateparks.oregon.gov/index.cfm do=park.profile&parkId=129): Check out an old ship wreck and enjoy a view of the ocean.

This place was minutes away from the goonies house, flavel house, heritage museum, and the Oregon film museum. Not to mention, pig’n pancake!! The beach is also close enough to the point where you can hear seals on shore. Seaside is also 30 minutes away on car. The fire/police station is right across the street which made me feel super safe too. I highly recommend staying at this place because of its French ambiance, and the comfort it provided after a long day out.

Well I’m sure it would have been excellent but I’m afraid a perfect storm unraveled things. We had been up since 3:00 a.m. and driving for six hours. The host graciously said we could check in early. I fear I may have led us to the wrong door and of course the entry code wouldn’t work and my tired, frustrated, Scottish husband became annoyed with the host on the phone and apparently the interaction escalated and the host decided he needed to cancel our stay. It was likely an understandable decision, but sad for us, because we usually have lovely interactions with hosts and neighbors. But, otherwise our stay in Astoria was amazing. There is a local dog themed brew pub a block down from the tiny house, well worth a visit called Hondo’s. A block down from Fort George is an amazing little pub, Bridge and Tunnel, that makes you wish you lived in the neighborhood. The birthday dessert I had at Bridgeview Bistro (Lemon Posset) was to die for. And, we wandered into quite a few unique and interesting shops and came home with a few treasures. I recommend it, and imagine this little VRBO would have made the visit even more magic.

Nice and comfortable little space with charming covered outdoor area. Great shower. Good location. Only complaint would be that the road is a bit loud. The space would benefit from some source of “white noise”, like an air purifier or even just a fan. Otherwise, a pretty perfect unit.

Everything was as described and the host was responsive, but the ant problem reduced our enjoyment because we would find them crawling on our personal items and were feeling paranoid about them. While majority of the home was clean, when we first arrive an ant was crawling across the duvet and there was hair on the duvet. There was also a piece of glass on the kitchen floor that could have been dangerous if we stepped on it. I would recommend more attention from housekeeping particularly on the bed. Lastly, the handy person that came left the door unlocked which we were not happy about.

We spent two (2) lovely nights at this well-appointed tiny house tucked away in a surprisingly peaceful pocket in Astoria. The raves of previous guests about the bathroom and shower are not exaggerated - the entire bathroom makes your daily ablutions feel like a luxury. We only had to communicate minimally with the host - but they were always prompt with follow-up.Instructions for parking are clear and were easy to follow. We were a short walk away from the waterfront trail that connects much of what we wanted to see in Astoria. The bed was wildly-comfortable - it was well equipped with many different types of pillows (from dense memory foam to loftier, softer ones) that we were able to reconfigure into a day bed for watching some sportsball and movies before retiring. The kitchenette was amply supplied - enough dishware and tableware for two plus a few needed tools, plus a Kuerig and tea kettle. There is also a microwave and good-sized mini-fridge for dealing with leftovers from the many fantastic restaurants nearby. We enjoyed our long-weekend stay in Astoria, thank you!

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. Overall, our stay was pleasant. If you plan on taking large luggage with you, don’t. There’s not really any space to spread out. The host was very responsive when we had an issue with the smoke alarm batteries going bad. I didn’t mind that the property was tucked away, but I feel like the directions on how to find it could be more detailed. The parking situation isn’t great, but the parking pass made things better. The mini split needed to be cleaned out. We found that if it was ran above 65, then it would produce a burning smell (dust) and it would set the smoke alarms off.

This place was lovely! It's tucked away, very private, and quiet. It was a beautifully decorated space with so many thoughtful little touches (like multiple coat hangers on the walls, two Buoy beers in the fridge, a fully stocked Keurig) that was great for a couple. Walking distance to downtown so we could park our camper across the street and walk everywhere we wanted to go. It was a 5 min walk to the river trailer. This Tiny House was very accommodating with everything we needed for our first trip to Astoria. Walking distance to River Path and food was very appreciated since traffic in the town exceeded what we expected. We are outside people so loved the little deck to hang out in. The house was creatively arranged, the bathroom was huge and lovely. If it were my place I would try to figure out how to provide access to the bed from both sides, and I would consider installing a wall mounted magnifying mirror in the bathroom and maybe a small shelf or two near the sink :). Thank you

This property was cozy and charming. Worked well for us as we slept comfortably and explored the coast during the day. Lovely decor! Wonderful bathroom! The only suggestion would be to decrease the number of throw pillows so that there is more room and consider replacing bed pillows. Thank you!

We loved our stay in this tiny home! Perfect for just the two of us! Very private entryway and patio area, beautifully designed and all the necessary amenities. This was our first stay in the PNW and we loved it!

Lovely spot for one person. So nicely decorated and very comfortable. The owner was easy to contact and very cooperative. I have nothing but praise for this property.

We had excellent walking access to so much, plus we were close to the main road but far away we were not disturbed by traffic. The property was clean and new! Lovely and private. Perfect for a couple. The bed was very comfy. Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone for a wonderful couples getaway.

Husband & I thought this stay was adorable and centrally located. Only complaint is there wasn’t anywhere to hang our clothes or unpack so we had to get creative to avoid wrinkles. Also, we were woken in the middle of the night to a few intoxicated patrons from the nearby business.

This place was a fabulous retreat for 2. The tiny cabin sandwiched between a few small businesses is hidden from view. A small door opens to a plant-filled entry/corridor and small private deck of the cottage. The design of the remodeled space is tasteful with personal touches throughout. Brian is to be congratulated for turning this forgotten space on the eastside of Astoria into a comfortable retreat within a few blocks of the riverwalk and easy access to town. We appreciate the fact that the space is comfortable but true to the character of old Astoria. There is a bit of traffic noise from the nearby thoroughfare into town, but it is muffled by the closed corridor and surrounding buildings and was no problem for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Exactly as advertised! We will be coming back. Location on the edge of the downtown within walking distance to everything. Had a lovely 7 mile loop walk from the lodging taking in the cathedral tree, the column, and historic district. This place is as charming as you might hope it to be. And super easy check in I am sure if we needed anything the owner would be very responsive but as it was we needed nothing!
