Thorny Tallet is a detached barn conversion resting on the outskirts of Okehampton. It houses two bedrooms comprising of a double and a twin, together sleeping up to four people. There is also a bathroom with a bath, separate walk-in shower, basin and WC. Completing the interior is a sitting room with a woodburning stove and a kitchen/dining room. Outside, there isoff-road parking and a lawn area. Thorny Tallet is a wonderful retreat for exploring the corner of the Dartmoor National Park.

Amenities: Underfloor heating is provided by a ground source heatpump. (Please contact the owners if adjustments are required). There is also a woodburning stove and a complimentary basket of logs is provided. Further baskets of logs are available at £5 per basket. Microwave, washing machine, electric oven and hob, fridge with ice-box, TV and WiFi. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Off-road parking. Enclosed garden area. Town: Okehampton is a busy market town on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park and near the highest and most dramatic areas of the moor, where Yes Tor rises to a height above 2000 feet. To the north of Okehampton are some beautiful rolling Devon hills where small farming villages nestle amidst woods and fields with plenty of gently flowing rivers. The fabulous Roadford Reservoir offers a multitude of watersport activities and fishing opportunities. Okehampton has a prominent medieval castle overlooking a wooded river valley, the Museum of Dartmoor Life (where Tourist Information can be found) and Okehampton train station, which has been restored to its 1950s glory running trains along a scenic route to Meldon the highest station in southern England. The town also has spectacular views across Dartmoor, access to fabulous walks and Simmons Park where you’ll find a children’s adventure playground. This area of Devon has plenty of farm shops and country inns serving good food where visitors can spend time relaxing and unwinding amongst unspoilt countryside.
